I have started the 'training missions' on the Huey, however the screen wont display the 'overhead part' and no matter what I try I cannot seem to access the overhead part ie start up buttons and such?:helpsmilie: All the videos on youtube clearly show this overhead part, what has got me stumped is I am running game in the highest rez possible, 1920x1080. Please help as this has me stumped big time. Thanks

I recently bought Huey and installed DCS World (I have been away from these sims for about a year or more). I started playing Huey but there were no 'training' missions and worst of all DCS World didn't pick up I have both Blackshark and A10C installed. Question is how do I get DCS World to recognise DCS BlackShark and A10C?:helpsmilie: Thanks for any help.

Bought it just last night.

Thanks for the info everyone Will it be completed, do we know that for sure. I know it is only 50 bucks and nothing against DCS but many games get left as is (buyer beware).

I own both Blackshark and A10C and am looking at buying Huey, but I have noticed it says 'beta version' on page when buying. My questions are, is there only a beta version currently for sale and if so is it worth buying or should I wait for the game to come out, or is it already out as a non beta?:helpsmilie: And dare I ask, has anyone played it yet, and is it worth adding to my collection of DCS flight sims? Sorry for posting here but could not find a link for huey on the forum. Your help and advice is appreciated. Cheers:thumbup:

Big thanks As usual excellent replies. I do realise this is a very complex game and 10 out of 10 to you guys and gals that can firstly understand it and secondly play ops fly this sim "we don't play sims eh?" I guess (if I sound frustrated I am sorry just a little with some little things thats all) I aim to read the manual and work on my spelling LOL however it was 3am when I posted and no coffee ;) I guess from previous flight sims and my short but brief time in the RAAF and lucky enough to go up in a few different jets that "ball" from the previous post maybe ADI is it, always semed to match what the A/C / pilot was doing (even if there was a strong wind etc, remember I am no pilot) Good news was if your all interested was the test pilot couldn't get me to chuck (and believe you me he tried LOL) ops off topic:megalol: Anyways I do have atendency to ramble, main point was I am sure that black and white ball in the centre is not meant to show extreme lefts and right when the "nose of the A/C" is pointing straight and level. I guess that is all I was trying to say. Two final questions before I go and print this manual is: Do you need to calibrate the joystick "in game" and what is a track and how do I post one. Oh and before you all think I can't figure stuff out for myself, can you answer me another question as I am unable to find an answer. I realise that on "real" settings in this game you have to do heaps, however in "game" settings radio "should work" or do I need to do as the previous guy said and set channel, freq etc to get it to work? In Blackshark on easy settings you just hit "\" and the corresponding key, doesn't seem the case with A10C? To the guy that said enjoy and take it one thing at a time I agree, thanks I am going to print the manual and take it slow, btw if you couldn't believe my luck the print screen wont capture the images in game for me to show you otherwise I would have. I might do a uninstall and a fresh re-install, see if this fixes all these little problems. On a more positive note, i bought a brand new gaming keyboard for A10C my son says it is quite good it is a Razer lycoza or something like that, keyboard lights up, cool eh? Again thanks and for those that might ask what A/C I have been up in, I have been lucky enough to go up in most A/C the RAAF had at ARDU at my time there. Cheers all:thumbup: -
Hi guys and gals, I am still having major issues with the A/C in general, let me elaberate (did I spell that right LOL?) Anyways, some real strange stuff happening in cockpit re-instruments. I am thinking joystick calibration however am unsure how to calibrate "in game":joystick: This is what is happening, please visualize for me. I am flying straight and level at say 10ft. I can say this as the view outside directly in front of me is level with panels. Having said that both the hud pitch ladders (which I know move left to right etc) are on the extreme left and I do mean extreme, any further left and they would be off the hud LOL. Now if that wasn't bad enough the little circle thingy in the dead centre of the instruments (is it called VSI or something like that?) anyways it moves up down and left and right black when desending and white when climbing or vice versa. Here's the issue, that little round thingy has matched the pitch ladders so i cant question that, but and it is a big but, did you all remember the A/C is straight and level. ummm wtf is going on, how can the A/C be level and believe you me it is, and this circle thingy and pitch ladders are doing there own thing?:pilotfly: This is really doing my head in, have I pressed a key which has "uncaged" something I have heard that a pre-flight check list don't you sometimes have to set that round thing like calibrate it? With out ranting (too late:helpsmilie:) how can the A/C be level yet these two instruments are all over the shop. And guys, sorry to mention it again, I don't know if my game needs to be unistalled and re-installed but (and I know in training and some missions default is "real) however "Radio is still not working" and for most part I am playing on "game/easy" settings and have been told it should work, again wtf? I can understand on real settings you have to adjust everyting but when playing on easy you don't, or have I got that wrong?:noexpression: No point having a wingman if one can't speak with him over radio, right? Before I leave, the joystick is calibrated in windows fine, so i can't understand this "all over the place" and A/C wanting to keep turning left every five minutes. If anyone can help help, you have all been excellent so far but I am worried I may stop playing as I did with DCS Blackshark because of little quirls like this (really spoils the game imho). Again thanks :helpsmilie:

Thank you Thanks for the replies guys and gals. Fixed wing US...umm F4 Phantom ftw or A6 Intruder (just putting my 5 cents in LOL):pilotfly: Again thanks

Good news mate I found an old keyboard in the garden shed and am using it, it is the same as your image so all good. As I said I will hit the manual and tuts and bother you know more as you have covered a vast aray of topics with me. As the British would "Tally Ho, Bandits six oclock":pilotfly:

You won't believe this mate My Logitech Keyboard doesn't have an insert key like yours (sorry) it just has a extra large "delete" key where your showing in red. Only insert key I have is the numpad 0, feel bad mate after all your effort. Seems Logitech keyboards are slightly different (maybe thats why i am having this issue). It is called an "Logitech internet pro keyboard" oh well I will chase up a more standard keyboard. What a morning eh? LOL:lol:

No luck in Australia Mate, just thought you would like to know, did a search of that joystick (looks awesome btw) and no one sells it here in Oz:cry: oh well, back to the Logitech :joystick: Again many thanks for taking the time on all my questions, now i have to put some serious time into mastering this game on "real". i will keep you updated.
