    PacMan

Not good eh? If that was me (getting hit I mean) I would have turned around and shoved that golf stick where the sun doesn't shine.
  2. Hi Guys, can "Lock-On" still be bought? Cheers
  3. Good point Yeah sadly your right, the move seems to be towards consoles, XBox360, PS3 and such:cry: Oh well, thank God for DCS and Blackshark.
  4. Sadly I agree I remember 'many' flight sims for the C64, Amiga, and then the PC and some serious nice sims I have owned and played over the years, ready? Gunship (on C64 and then the Amiga) F-15 Strike Eagle F-19 Stealth Fighter Knights of the Sky Gunship 2000 Nighthawk F-117A Stealth Fighter Harrier Jump Jet B-17 Flying Fortress Fleet Defender They were just a few 'flight sims' from microprose and there where many more, such as: Fighter Bomber (F11A) Tornado Flight of the old dog (very tough for it's day) Flight of the Intruder It seems there was a time there was an abundance of great flight sims and other military sims, ie M1 Tank Platoon Red Storm Rising Silent Hunter Others: Pirates Airborne Ranger but with regards flight sims, my friend and I were just saying the same as you guys and gals "it has been a long time between sims" sadly I hope they will not die out, but just the other day I was in a major store and they informed me they were phasing all thier PC games over time:cry: I would like to think someone will keep making a few decent flights sims, oh and before I forget, I forgot to metion all the excellent "Janes Sims" that were around, believe it or not I owned all of these titles at one time or another, nostalgia eh? Cheers all
  5. interesting though eh? Oh well still a great post.

  7. I manage to get the chopper started from cold, apu on rotors spinning nicely, power up everywhere, and then I go to lift on and it seems like I am pulled back to the ground, like no power. However everything is sweet but I must have missed something small (I know I am being general) but what would stop me from being able to lift off???:joystick: anyone? cheers
  8. you lost me Very impressive knowledge, lost me at the start:megalol: SR71 now there was an impressive a/c as well:) Cheers:thumbup:
  9. Top Effort Yeah I agree, excellent dedication and skill and mental toughness to get home okay. Cheers
  10. Arsenal, what a season, to forget and now talk AV may leave for Real Madrid. Shame really as I feel next season will be very different, however if AV leave and both our star strikers are talking of moving as well, I feel we are at the crossroads of success of ongoing failure:cry: I hope AV stays. Your thoughts, this season/next season? Cheers:thumbup:
  11. no luck there I have tried that "E+LCTRL" no luck?:helpsmilie: Cheers
  12. hope this helps In real mode it is the "H" Key:thumbup:
  13. My pick F111G or the Tornado
  14. Thats some good advice I say shop around, I managed to get hold of quite a good joystick for a resonable price, paid $39.00 for a logitech 3D extreme pro. Having said that you really need (at a minimum) a throttle and collective if you want to play on real, I agree with everyone here, you will find it to hard otherwise. Hope this helps you:thumbup:
  15. excellent Post Again great reading, thanks to you all.
  16. Thanks Thanks good reading, however sad to have lost even one a/c and crew:cry:

  19. I am trying to start from cold I have been working on starting the Ka50 from cold start and have been getting better. I have managed to start it twice from cold however sometimes I miss some buttons. Believe you me great feeling when you do this. Now all I have to work on is landing and weapons :megalol: Cheers
  20. Yep that sounds right Thanks I think that may be it as i was mucking around with the start up sequence (silly me)
  21. yep So you have something to hold onto as you crash :megalol: I know it has helped me as I spear in to pull like a mad man on the stick as i spin down to the cold hard earth...:pilotfly::joystick::doh:
  22. yep sorry Seems we did get a little of topic, all started when I metioned the tornado and F111, (me bad) just for everyone's interest, there has been sims made on both these a/c, one was called "fighter/bomber" and the other simply 'tornado' both were great sims for there day. I owned both.:) Cheers:thumbup:
  23. Thanks Did they loose many a/c, I think they lost a couple but I would hardly call that "high" Again, as i said earlier they did an awesome job at the start. Cheers
  24. Great Story Yep mine happened in 1989-1990 with C64 and a game called "Pirates" as I only had one TV and had it plugged in to said machine and I was hooked, "come on love, I just need to sack Trinidad" :megalol: After just over 20 years playing PC based games, my wife and I now well over the arguments, but just as you say this is not a new issue, but I enjoyed your story, well done.
  25. early Not that I want to cause a debate, I am almost positive the tornado were one of the 1st a/c to strike in the gulf war and had an excellent success rate. I know I am being bias :music_whistling: Cheers
