I've been thinking a lot about cold war assets and I think now one would be more capable than CH when it comes to getting us an AI F-111. It's something the sim really needs with all the 80s and 70s jets coming

So any of y'all see the upgraded KH-29T in the newsletter? It's got my mind running since the Su-25T doesn't even use that weapon properly. I wonder what other aircraft uses the Kh-29T...

At the moment the AI JF-17 will completely ignore any smart weapons it has in its wing and will even strafe targets instead. I've noticed this with Paveway II family weapons and Ls-6 family as well as the BRM-90-1s

Issue seems to be back I'm experiencing the same issue in 2.9

Im having an issue getting a jeff with a cas task to drop his pgms he'll drop dumb bombs just fine but LGBs glide weapons you name it he refuses. Even will ignore the weapons on his wings and go for strafing runs sometimes. Its very odd

Fixed but it was also keeping the new ED C-RAM from spawning crazy

Howdy! With a massive DL update on the horizon. I think it would be very pertinent to have a special option to disable data link in its entirety for specific aircraft. In my honest opinion 90s scenarios in the viper especially on servers, cannot be played correctly due to the fact that with even with EPLRS=false links like IDM still provide interflight sharing. I've been doing some reading on the AN/TPN-22 and it got me thinking. How possible from the perspective of a modder would it be to make a proper PARS system for dcs. On the low end I would think at least that using one of these systems as a mobile ILS/ICLS would be feasible but I'm not sure if the code behind how ILS works in dcs is encrypted and or if something like this would break IC.

Make sure your extracting the full file not just a a piece of it! And yeah I fully agree. I love alot of the stuff CH has made so far but I really want some cold war stuff. I'm hoping ED or another dev make a cold war assets pack but this is the best we can get for now..with that being said I'd love to get RWS Tigrs

A great addition I'd love to see is the Pekaap II class fast attack boats armed with Cm-802 AShMs!

Yeah! So open the miz file in your choice of archive editor (I use winrar) and change that Mission.file to Mission.lua. Go into the mission editor and get the X and Z coordinates for where you want to put the object and override the existing one in the lua file! for your viewing pleasure. A sea tor!

Something you can do is either Lua edit over the static object Into a unit OR change the X and Y coordinate grid of an object to be on a ship. I'm fairly sure it won't role off while it's underway. I actually had a mission maker in my group arm the SeaWise giant with a full Sa-2 Site!

Thanks for the input and yeah I'm definitely going to be doing some head hunting. Currently I'm actually starting to weigh getting a used 3080/3090 just because if I want to really get anywhere near this criteria it's clear that I'm going to have to drop alot more than I wish I had to. It may just be best to wait at this point and I do sorta plan to anyway but hey maybe we'll get vulkan someday XD

I'm just gonna grab a ryzen 5 7600/x probably! And the stated new monitor. But I'm also probably gonna grab a VKB STECTS or winwing F-15EX throttle as well. Lastly a brand new audio set up something more professional compared to my gaming head set I have right now. I can't stand listening to music on my computer lol.

$500 for the GPU alone IDEALLY but it's not a hard cap if I have to pay 600-800 for a GPU I will I just prefer not to lmao.

Hey y'all. I've just begun the process of researching new hardware for my next upgrade. I'm only getting a new CPU and GPU this time but it's been about 5 years since I built my PC and I'm still using a 1660 ti and a zen+ CPU x.x. The market has changed a lot since the last time I've looked at consumer hardware and it seems I have a lot of avenues to go. I'm planning to get a nice 4K curved monitor so my criteria is 90~ fps at 4k (2D) and with a preferred but not hard budget of about $500 which is yes I know optimistic but I just want to future proof and actually enjoy a steady DCS experience performance wise. At the moment the 4060 TI and the 4070 look appealing as well as the older 3080 chip set but the new AMD cards are a possibility too!

So I was thinking about more cold war focused blue air defense that we don't have in dcs and the aspides and skyguard came to mind. Might add some more oomph to the rather lacking medium air defense deficiency blue forces have.

Oh yeah I forgot about those!
