  1. i'm almost done. it's left to put them all in the package. it is the 3rd time i make the package and this time i hope i'll like it and let it the way it is. the first 2 times i wasn't sure about some things and when i was about to release it i decided to modify shape, textures...because i want to make it perfect
  2. luse, you and that guy aaronxxx are the gods here, in 3d modeling, texturing, and in real life too. after all i didn't talk trash, didn't call anyone a dick. this is what i said: "i still believe the wheels from the main landing gear are too small. look at the difference between the real one and the model. in the model all the three wheels seem to be the same size. in real plane the wheels from the main gear have a bigger diameter". and this is what luse said: "That being said, Seeing as how it's presidos model, let him build it how he wants. " like i was forcing him to do as i say. now for any normal person luse's statement would be kinda offensive. but even if not, this is one of the many, many times when these gods, luse and aaron18... bite my ass. don't understand why, i don't owe you anything, dear luse you didn't pay me to finish the orao and i'm not off any schedule. in fact if you'll have it is because of my goodwill. and once again i didn't finish it because i'm working at 6 personal projects at the same time and i do it in my free time. aaron, about you i'm speechless, why do you hate my f-16 so much i can't imagine.. i never made any statement about your f-18 even if you don't have the courage of releasing it for the public. you say i can't model, well i can really understand you are just a noob about it because a pro has the basic question to ask before anything else, that you didn't ask. first of all is to ask for a wire render because this is how any person can verify if it is a good or bad modeling. and you didn't. now that we fixed the thing and maybe you 2 can realise how shitty you are, maybe in the future you will pm me before you say something in public. this way you can show your real face and not "censor" your language anymore. this is my last message in this thread
  3. @luse - oh ok man. i'm sorry for not letting him build it how he wants. i didn't realise i was crossing the line, my bad.. @presidio - you build it as you want, but only a blind guy doesn't see the different proportions of the wheels.

  7. well yes, this one is very accurate and it matches perfectly the blueprint i made myself for my f-16. i made a confusion, i thought precise3dmodeling's f-16 is ed's, but it seems there are 2 different models. the one from precise3d.. is not accurate. i hope mine comes prety close of the one in the screenshot this time. you'll see in the final version i made(will be released this week) that the profile is modified and it looks good
  8. i modified the nose of my f-16, by some blueprints i made myself, and those are accurate. about the precise3dmodelling f-16 i still believe is not accurate. i can prove it.
  9. this model is not very accurate. it has some serious shape errors at nose, cockpit, generally the front part

  11. i've seen some reflections modified a-10 few pages before. is it possible to modify reflections of an airplane from the game? of what i know only in max it could be possible..
  12. Renato, Croatia has the same modernised mig-21 as Romania? I know i saw some pics 5 years ago with some Croatian migs modernised here and i don't know if they have all the features
  13. luse it will never be released for you, forget it!:megalol: aaron886, i don't make comparisons like this. i don't know if he is better than you or me until i see some wireframe screens. the thing is playing with some iterations when using meshsmooth doesn't mean you know/don't know max because modeling is the same at 2 iterations as at 4-5 iterations. what i can say about him, thing that is very obvious is that he has an extreme sence of detail(better than me, i just get bored when trying to make them). but i'm not gealous on him i just didn't know how much evolved the modeling thing with fc2. until now(thanks to tomkatz) i didn't even know that dcs can support such a big count of polys(that f-15e) so this means krieger's mig-29 is more than decent. now this job is settled i think we don't have to discuss about it anymore
  14. aaron886 you don't know what you are talking about, you are off topic and you don't understand modeling. if you say he is a better modeler than i am, it's obvious you are off 3d max. i tell you something: 1.in modeling, 3d max has no secret for me, i earn money from max and i studied it at school for 5 years and i was working in max before school for another 5 years 2. i have 300k models too but i don't think that's a good thing for this sim, it is possible to insert them but i prefere to lower their number(that's smart and expert modeling) 3.if you have some doubt about the thing i'm an expert i show you my works, that you don't know about(personally pm me when you want to see) 4. it is the X time when you say offensive things to me, this being in contrast with your "pacifist attitude".when anybody else has a wrong attitude you are the first to make observation. i wonder when are you going to stop or when is your mouth going to be shut down?
  15. my f-16 model is now at 50k and i asked before in my thread if to increase the number of polys.everybody said yes but i think is useless because i tried a smart modeling and i put polys only where they needed to be. so even if i make my model to be around 90-100k it is not so visible at all.then why adding these polys? and i don't understand how can you hit the 300k with a model even as detailed as this one when i jump to, let's say 100k polys and iit cannot be made better. my personal opinion, useless polys. if we want a high quality sim we must make it smart because it's important to share those polys with every model in game. we don't have only f-16s or mig-29s. we have all the airplane hangar, the buildings, ground vehicles everything can be improved and 1 more thing, when i jump from 50k to anything to 300k, to view the difference you must eject when you are landed and go with the pilot at about 1-2 meters from the plane. so that's very close.
  16. what do you mean about the lights, two "black boxes"? how can i make a .cdds file?
  17. finished the nozzle, reworked the gun, finished the pylons, reworked gear animations and many other details. this is close to the finish
  18. for that level of details you'll have a very hard mapping to do
  19. @grandsurf-can you modify the aircraft spawnpoints for all the airfields? i mean starting the mission from the interior of the hangar isn't very realistic..and about your project, my opinion is to take your time and do it in detail(as you accustomed us) until the finish. you do an excellent job. @for the others-please have patience and let him finish it. releasing a half finished mod i don't think will settle us
  20. thank you guys for your apreciation. @OldCrow - the nozzle was a wip at the time so it looked like that. now it's finished and it looks ok. @aap_flanker - i understand now what are the lod models and it seems to be a good way. but how do i implement them, making a separate .lom file?i mean nothing else?

  22. almost ready to release. the problem is that i see some new models that have around 300k polys and as it is possible, i wonder if i can increase the number at my model too. what do you think guys, does it worth it? the truth is the shape looks smoother and is very visible.
  23. Tom the model is great and the only problem it has is here, at the first section of the cockpit.try to make it look like this, more rounded more exactly
  24. i still don't think those 300k polys are usefull for the main shape. two iterations on the main shape is prety much and without a visible difference, but with an addon of a big amount of polys. anyway you do it your way but i don't know how will it move in multiplayer
