ok, so it's hard... i was wondering, is fc3 going to have the same clickable cockpits as dcs? because if not and will be the same as in fc2, i believe that it should be taken into consideration another type of module for those who want new aircraft mods for fc3 with fc3 cockpits(no clickable), else we are going to have the same arcraft mods for fc3 with no functional cockpit, or flying for example a F-16 with mig-29 cockpit. this is my personal idea, i only want to know what do you guys think?

you mean to use the A-10 cockpit, or to model my cockpit around the A-10 HUD and MFCD?

yes it is a trick. you must work on the 2048X2048 texture and to add or paint details at the texture's scale without scaling them in any direction. many persons i know usually work on 4096X4096 textures for a better detail level and when they finish it they scale it to 2048X2048. the result is bad, this way you loose many details and the textures becomes blurry. The reverse action(from 1024X1024 to 2048X2048) has the same bad results. -
i wonder how did they make such a realistic terrain? is it based on satellite photos? it's unbelievable that realism.

in my case,i am just a 3d modeller and skinning artist. more of this i can't do, but on my area i can do the best. i am looking now for people interested to help me to make a functional F-16 cockpit. I am providing the 3d exterior shape+skinning+animations, and the 3d cockpit+skinning, so i need somebody to animate the cockpit. This is a call so who feels able to make this laborious work, send me a PM. Conditions for making a team for a 3D Party will be discussed in private. PS. The one who offers to help me will decide which F-16 version we will develop and he will get the double seater too.

updates... now it's the time to decide what direction should i follow, i mean which is going to be the first F-16 variant? Because ED has a block 40 this variant is excluded. It's up to you guys to come with proposals and you can take into account the double seater versions too, like SUFA. I'm in vacation so i can dedicate my free time to this first detailed F-16 mod of mine.

from my point of view, things are not looking so great, because i'm able to model and texture a F-16 for example, but integrating the aircraft in DCS is probably imposible for me at the moment because of the LUA scripts. About LUA i know some things, basic stuff, i already succeeded to integrate a F-16 mod in FC2. I don't know how much are changed things in DCS but it seems to be a big difference from what i understand here. And what can i do further? I'll probably start to search a person who knows LUA scripting, or learn to use it myself, which it's going to take a while. A manual should be usefull now. One more question, am i allowed to sell a simple mod of mine(not 3D Party), or only the 3D Parties can be sold?

@Ali Fish-these photos are great!!! Your grass is awesome, keep it this way, you reach a very high level of realism with the dense, thin and perfectly colored blade of grass. Congrats! And don't forget to release the mod, please! -
so two F-18A 3D Parties for example, can't be made by different persons?

thnx for the answer. from the list of the team i can cover only 2 of them: 3d modeler and skinning artist. is it possible to get a team with the help of ED? i mean someone from ED who is interested in developing 3D Parties?

I start this thread for a better understanding of making a 3D Party addon. For the beginning the questions i expect to elucidate are the next ones: 1-Who are we supposed to contact first when we decide to make a 3D Party? I mean who from ED, and how(by PM)? 2-What are the terms or the conditions? What does ED expect from a 3D Party for a contract to be signed? 3-What is the difference between a simple mod and a 3D Party? Of what i know at this moment, it's all about modder-ED agreement, and i'm curious if any aditional information is given to the modder when a contract is to be signed. Information like the list of arguments for a functional cockpit and many other... 4-What ED provide us, when we sign the contract? It's like i said above, what are the benefits for the modder to chose for a 3D Party instead of a simple mod. 5-Is it any quality control from ED the main part of the decision of signing a contract? In other way, what are ED criterias for agreeing to sign a contract or not? 6-Till now, no modder has been refused, of what i know.. but what if someone decides to make his own A-10 3D Party? or, what if someone decides to make his own F-15 Strike Eagle 3D Party(contract already given to Iris). These are my questions for the moment. If you guys have any others feel free to ask them here.

@kuky- the orao will be finished after both of these are finished. that's the order i have in my mind. and if you're wondering why i didn't release the orao yet, is because i modified the shape continuously to make it be perfect. and you'll agree with me at the time of the release. about the F-16 and superhornet now, after releasing my old fc2 F-16 i realised that i made a mistake by not detaling it very much. you'll see a very big difference at my future releases, and i am very decided on this. SiThSpawn answered very well to your question, i believe my F-16 and superhornet will be the best models for dcs. i've seen the other models of everyone and i'm very confident in this. and to make yourself an idea, even it may look like praise, the F-16 i'm working on is already better than ED's, the renders above are older, i'm far from that stage. @Sceptre, i'm using 3D max 2009.
