Using trim for common maneuvers looks like a preference thing.
I prefer to fly manually as much as possible. Especially if you are just starting out (like me) you should work on your reflexes and natural ability to control the helo.
I'm on my second day of learning the flight model. Just completed my first successful start up/hover/takeoff/base leg/landing/shutdown. Feels good :) Landing was scary!
The training missions and the great checklists people have made here taught me everything so far.
The black shark bug has bitten and I've decided to do triple monitors but I'm very indecisive over which way to accomplish this.
I have 3 24" monitors but it's my understanding that I won't be able to use 5040x1050 w/ th2go because my monitors don't run at 57hz.
But with softTH I could get around this? I will be somewhat disappointed if I have to run at 4320x900.
Also performance wise is th2go generally accepted to be less of a burden on the system than softTH? I have 1 GTX 285 but I don't want to have to buy another high end card just to have acceptable FPS. Figured throwing a GF8800 in here will do the trick.
any other pros/cons to consider?
Thanks for your help!
Exactly. The only necessity is meeting the minimum system reqs. Everything after that is icing on the "convincing simulation" cake.:pilotfly:
It just so happens that a lot of these gadgets also make the controls more intuitive, thus easier to play.
Wow! first time seeing this capability with the wii controller. Thanks for bringing that to my attention Cooper. That will go nicely with TIR :joystick:
