  1. Just ordered from gogamer as well...hope the stock is really there and ready to ship...
  2. Using trim for common maneuvers looks like a preference thing. I prefer to fly manually as much as possible. Especially if you are just starting out (like me) you should work on your reflexes and natural ability to control the helo.
  3. I'm on my second day of learning the flight model. Just completed my first successful start up/hover/takeoff/base leg/landing/shutdown. Feels good :) Landing was scary! The training missions and the great checklists people have made here taught me everything so far.
  4. Very detailed. Very nice! Thanks
  5. You are powering all that off of 1 gtx280?? Looks awesome btw
  6. Just ordered a th2go. Will do a test drive and see if it's a keeper or not...I think they are way overpriced though.
  7. Yes, I'm concerned about that too. On the other hand I don't know if a single 285 will be able to power three monitors at 4320x900 and be smooth.
  8. All the 8800 would do is give me the 3rd DVI port for the third monitor. Otherwise it would basically be unused.
  9. This is really great! I like what you've done with the place.
  10. Good luck with this! Is it not possible to do this setup with 1x th2g0+softTH?
  11. The black shark bug has bitten and I've decided to do triple monitors but I'm very indecisive over which way to accomplish this. I have 3 24" monitors but it's my understanding that I won't be able to use 5040x1050 w/ th2go because my monitors don't run at 57hz. But with softTH I could get around this? I will be somewhat disappointed if I have to run at 4320x900. Also performance wise is th2go generally accepted to be less of a burden on the system than softTH? I have 1 GTX 285 but I don't want to have to buy another high end card just to have acceptable FPS. Figured throwing a GF8800 in here will do the trick. any other pros/cons to consider? Thanks for your help!
  12. No issues thus far. Smooth FPS. No MP yet. Core i7 920 @ stock + Noctua cooler Gigabyte UD4-P Cruicial 6GB RAM eVGA GTX 285 1GB @ stock WD Caviar Green 1TB Corsair 750TX LG BD-ROM 2x 24" Samsung Syncmaster 2493HM Too many USB devices to count Windows 7 RC
  13. Exactly. The only necessity is meeting the minimum system reqs. Everything after that is icing on the "convincing simulation" cake.:pilotfly: It just so happens that a lot of these gadgets also make the controls more intuitive, thus easier to play.
  14. Nice! Thanks for your hard work on this SDeath. I can throw away that bar napkin with my shoddy checklist now.
  15. Wow! first time seeing this capability with the wii controller. Thanks for bringing that to my attention Cooper. That will go nicely with TIR :joystick:
