But Red doesn't mean hostile You have to press a long TMS left to IFF, if a green circule appears on the red contact it's a friendly If a red triangle contact is hollow it means that information is coming from other plane, not your radar. If you get trouble locking a contact check the contact Angels (altitude) and the antenna, you may have to lower the antenna or push it up so the contact should be in the antenna altitute range

In the link I send you can see 4 pictures of the MFDs, those one show red (unidentified), green (friendly) and blue (in your flight) contacts. Try buildind a mission with hostiles and a AWACS, you should see colors. (The TGP is in Black and white) In the link I send there is a file with a mod "F-16 MFD Readability", don't add colors but it has some better definition, see the pictures in the link. I dont' use it beacuse my HSI gets worst

Black and white? Don't you get green and red symbols, yellow circles,...? See a mod that Holychocmilk put in this topic https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=4131663#post4131663

Hi guys Just want to share my customization of my X52 Hotas for the F-16C Viper May bring some ideas to the next fellow I use a Modifier to give me extra buttons, since I only have two hat switchs The 20 and 22 are from the Track software, not the DCS Note: In order to make the knob green/Orange/red work you must kept the X52 propreties open during game (see picture) The 7, 23 and 21 are saved custom views so I can zoom fast in the Hud (Snap view 5) and both MFD (note that I duplicate the keybinds for the left and right MFD, so it works with or without the modifier, helps to don't make mistakes in a hurry) With de Modifier plus the 3 and 4 I can see fast my enemy in dogfight without going to the F5 and back to the F1 in the keyboard, keep the hands on the Hotas ;) Hope this help any one Feel free to give your thoughts Note: The numbers on DCS are different from the numbers of the X52 properties Update in the next post with picture and profile files .

 Thanks guys I went for the PG (but I guess NTTR will follow sooner or later) :pilotfly:

How it's done? Thanks

I bought the Gulf map tonight 1st Mi-8 school Bus flight and landing (see pic) Why is this so much easier than AA refueling in a Viper? :cry_2::cry_2::cry_2: Also tried, again, crashed (hope, like I VOR and crash the Mi-8 over and over again at first, one day I'll AAR the Viper smoothly)

Exactly I know the F18 has carrier ops and more payload etc etc but I get the F16 I just love the F16 and it's really good to fly. So choose the model you connect more with it Is this post still correct? With Phase 1 Early Access and Phase 2 Product Sustainment https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=241132 .

See picture (page 29 of the manual) You have to center the Trim knobs on the left back side It's easyer if you make a custom snap view to that part of the cockpit (do you know how to make custom snap views?)
-
I was wondering that myself So it looks there's no reset trim option for the F-16. Just have to do it the real way As "Los" said: "Trimming a basic pilot function, learn to do it regularly." Well, you can always map a custom snap view to lock on that part of the console to look at those knobs Thanks mvsgas

Hi Guys, I'm a Viper fan I looked in EDs user files for missions But the Caucasus map is a bit limited in training missions, and perhaps in servers MP missions. The aim is to get on day in a MP Squadron Meantime as the F-16 is still a bit (a really big bit) Early Access and I need more training I was wondering which map, Nevada or PGulf, provides more training missons and of course is more fun to fly. But primarily learning and training Thanks for your opinions

Yeap, that is right My bad  , I'm a bit new to DCS and when I started I first discover the Devrim English cockpit Mod for the SU-33. So I thought the option in DCS was from having installed it. I do recommend the "Transparent Controls Indicator"

Just made one flight (on one Grim Reapers server, people seemed nice to me when I asked for help) so I can't make any opinion about that now, you may have point there, maybe because people on OB are more advanced in the SIM and lack patience to newcomers, I really don't have a clue . This could open a door to a huge discussion. At the end, for good or for bad, it's people who make the servers and foruns. And from my experience, in other communities, there's all kind of people, just have to filter, keep the friendlier, and move along :pilotfly: Yeap, you are right, it happened before :D

Many thanks for the help QuiGon  Did the "Updating or Switching an Install Between "Open Beta" and "Release" Version Branches" as described :book: and it then I has able to fly in a OB server :pilotfly: The only thing I've notice after changing is that a few mods were not On (things like english cockpit one the Mi-8, Transparent Controls Indicator,...). Just need it to enter the JSGME, remove and add again.

Spend a few time with the Mi-8 (easy VOR) and the Gazelle (too twitchy), after that the Huey will be the best thing to land (IMO) From the panes I have the P-51 is the more troublemaker
-
Cool  I'll look into that tonight Will that mess up my few mods and will it kept my key bindings? Thanks a lot QuiGon
-
Thanks QuiGon I guess I'll give a shot at OB AFAIK I can have both and keep my planes
-
How about Multiplayer? I'm new to the multiplayer world, just tried yesterday for the first time. Tried the Grim Reapers servers and they only run for the Open Beta version. Is that a fact for the majority of servers? Is there an advantage to have OB instead of Stable for multiplayer? Thanks

Hy guys Sorry if it's a nube question but I google it and didn't find the answer. I have all the interior lights to max. Is there any light to see the HSI in night flight? (besides the flashlight) It´s a bit dark (see picture)
