That is what I love about Silent Thunder, we can get multiple Kiowa pilots in there, for example, searching for the jeep, locating bad guys. My group uses it for training and it is really awesome. Agree, multiplayer campaigns would be epic if they were available natively. What you guys are doing is great.

This is great. I have been trying to avoid pressuring you guys too much on Silent Thunder, I know how life can be, just excited to see it come to an exciting conclusion. Ironically, about a week ago, I realized I own like 4 Hornet Campaigns I have never even started including the Raven One series, Operation Pontus and the BFM campaign, so I did a massive refamiliarization of the F-18 and am diving in headfirst to get my money's worth. Oh, yeah, and also Artic Thunder for the Hornet. So your work will continue to be exciting for me ever after Silent Thunder is completed. Thank you!

I noticed it too, still an issue. When the instructor asks you to set depression 200, I set it to 020, seems to be correct to get the rockets on the right trajectory at 1000 feet shallow angle. You can keep the training going by setting master arm on, he will continue the lesson.

Honestly, there is a surprising lack of quality helo campaigns in DCS, this could easily become a for pay Kiowa campaign, I think it would sell. Especially if you held off on giving away the last two missions, rather rolled them into an official DCS campaign. I know I'd buy it.

Big update for the Kiowa today, will have to test it and put it through its paces, but hopefully this can help kick start flying the Kiowa again, and progress on this amazing campaign.

Totally understand. The Kiowa patch snafu was a real bummer. We have a multiplayer event in our group today and we basically had to replace the Kiowa slots because no one has confidence in it right now with the current state. I hope they come to a quick resolution, so we can experience the final two episodes of Silent Thunder.

Mission 3 was awesome. That KORD was a challenge, moving all over the place, I managed to get him on a bridge eventually. Something I noticed with mission 4, maybe it has already been reported. Slot 1 client on mission 4 puts you super close to a static and a Blackhawk to the point where startup can bust you. Slot 2 gives you plenty of room to startup, not sure why DCS is doing that.

@Mistermann you are totally right, you can't create an MP campaign, ED doesn't have that. However, your missions can be played as a single player campaign as is. I created one for myself. Why? Call me weird, but there is something satisfying about playing each mission in succession and tracking progress one after another. It is just a me thing. Totally not necessary. All I had to do was create a new campaign and add your missions as stages. I'll add my images as examples, not sure how they will post to this thread. 1. Create Campaign with details and add each mission as a stage. Stage 1 - Mission 1, etc. 2. Then you have this super clean flag called Mission_End_Success, so in each mission just add a mission goal with a score of 100 using that flag 3. Then copy the Campaign files to your missions folder and away you go Like I said, the only reason I messed with this is that I kinda like running each mission in succession with progress captured. Once again, this is only single player, but it works

The missions are awesome, and equally the briefings and storylines are so well done. I enjoy reading the PDF as much as I do flying the missions. I have shared this with a few other Kiowa pilots that fly in our group. Thanks again.

Love these missions, so well done. Nice work! I was wondering when you are all done with the missions, if you plan to stitch it together as an official Campaign, or keep as individual missions? Once again can't wait for the conclusion. There aren't a lot of great Kiowa missions out there, so this content is great to have.

Love the new cargo system and the direction it is headed. I would like to see some new Conditions added to support triggers for cargo load / unload, etc. Also hoping we can get some support in the DCS API docs for lua scripting load and unload events. Thanks!

So the Kiowa has the correct ball indicator, slip/skid is showing correctly. I did hop in the Huey and noticed the same issue with the ball indicating opposite of what it should be. I can post a track unless someone else has one

Agree, the traditional "step on the ball" to get coordinated is not working, it definitely seems backwards

Below is a pic of the Outpost that guys are asking about. You can see how nicely it integrated into one of our FARP designs. I think it was a "fan favorite". I could not find it represented anywhere in the 3.0 pack and didn't see anything under hesco or sandbag that looked similar. If I missed it, please let me know. If there is a chance to bring it back in the future, that would be awesome. null- 529 replies

Just be aware that some of the names changed beyond just M92_. So, for example, "M92_TentD" is now "Tent04", so I would proceed with caution is all. I hope you can make it work for you.- 529 replies

@Massun92 a few suggestions/requests as you continue to improve your asset pack beyond v3.0. I noticed a few assets didn't make it into v3.0 that were quite heavily used in our previous missions in 2.3. Looks like the single hesco and double hesco stacks and 5 across stacks were removed. Those were: Hesco5 HescoDoble Hesco_5 Hesco5_Doble Another popular asset was the Outpost_HD. That was a nice one that is no longer included. I wonder if you are doing an update there or plan to replace in the future? Some of the new tents and assets are great. So don't get me wrong, just missing a few of our favorites also And one final suggestion. A latrine or outhouse asset would be great, always adds a bit of realism to a FOB lol. Thanks!- 529 replies

I would not attempt the database change, I would more attempt to replace type names in the mission file. The models for many of the assets are much improved, credit to Massun's work. The lack of migration is a difficult challenge I admit. For some items like the M92_BarrierA, M92_BarrierB, etc. you can simply replace the type with "BarrierA" and "BarrierB", all the barriers are the same with improved modeling. Same for the revetment walls, if you remove the M92_ doing a search and replace in the mission file, those will translate over. For M92_TentA there isn't a replacement for that. It was a big, modern mess hall tent and doesn't appear to be in the new pack. However, M92_TentD and M92_TentE are now type "Tent04" and "Tent05" with improved textures. Also all the generators are the same, just without the "M92_". Another difference is M92_ConteinerOffice is now "Container_office". So bottom line, you will have to research it a bit. But doing a straight M92 replacement isn't going to work for many assets.- 529 replies

Any guidance on how to migrate to the new pack? It looks like FOB's and things that were built won't work with the new pack. Is there a way to map the old assets (revetment and walls) to the new assets. Even if I had to go in and script/modify the mission file itself to replace asset names or ids. Just wonder if there is guidance on how to move older missions with the previous assets to the new assets. Thanks!- 529 replies

Hi @Massun92 awesome news about the medical tent. That sounds awesome. I also saw some of the new stuff you posted to Facebook. Really excited. As far as the VAB, it looks like this (see attached). I think Evilbert has a good photo of it above. I guess the VAB is a French vehicle. It could be any kind of medical APC. I think the British have the FV 432. And in the US, it's the M113A4 Having any type of medical APC would be on my wish list is all. Thanks again for your awesome mod pack- 529 replies
