the problem is it not track the target even if i got a vertical scan lock and i am in position to shoot and i hear the lock warning all set and then launch and .... it always went stupid i tried most of short range missiles in DCS i used to fly J-11 so i know how to shoot short range missile but this one , i dont know why PL-5 acting like this and what is the range of PL-5 anyway cuz i think there is something wrong and that is not my first time trying to shoot PL-5 and missed i tried Vertical scan and i tried radar lock

is this missile working to anyone ?? cuz what i saw so far that this missile is useless in any situation and most of the time he is not tracking the target or flying straight line and ignoring the target is this really ( a missile )

i would vote for something equivalent to Mig-31 but classic fighters in the moment that we are waiting for F-15E and Typhoon and Red team modern fighter is only JF-17 and dont mention that Red team main force is FC3 fighters . i dont think so ... we need to feed Red side a bit with another modern fighter ( that is my opinion anyway ) i know that red team can use F-16 and F-14 but .... it would be nice to power up red team a bit ... as i said ( just my opinion )

Look Deka is doing an excellent job and i know in the next update JF-17 will be much much better i am just saying what is happening to me that is all

u are right i should but vertical scan wont pick anyone flying around 20KM there is a certin range if u didn't lock him before it 50/50 u will see him in radarscope otherwise nope he will force u to stay in defense unless a friendly force him to defend so u can recommit and sometimes as i said before PL-5 fly in a straight line even if u have lock

u are absolutely right i start to think that i am the one who can't use radar cuz everytime i face close target i am dead he can lock me and i am struggling and can't see him on my radarscope and PL-5 dont track targets that was very weird in a situation of 8km he go straight did u know that i forced to change to SD-10 and kill him in 5KM i am impressed of how SD-10 can maneuver in this distance

u got the whole point wrong yes our talk can apply in every fighter in this game but remember something ( U ARE IN JF-17 SECTION SO SMILE YES WE ARE USING THE GENERAL TACTICS THAT EVERY FIGHTER CAN DO BUT WITH JF-17 INSIDE THE PHRASE CUZ ...... ) and i am not honestly not offence against u , just clarifying

i totally agree 100% cuz most of player dont understand what BVR battle is and JF already a modern fighter and u have to know this bird limits and u can win against EF its just relay on a good tactics and good thinking and making the right decision u can do a very high alt BVR battle switch to low alt BVR battle use terrain mask u have your datalink be near to a friendly when u engage JF is not a solo warrior that can do air-supremacy against so many enemy's choose your battle ground be wise and u will be unbeatable not cuz u fly JF cuz u know how to pick your fights and how to control it for your benefit there is no such a thing called ( invincible plane ) even F-14 that can launch a long range missiles die alot in public servers
