I've watched some Targeting pod vids on youtube and it looks like finding targets would actually be a chore depending on the enviorment. Dessert looks easier but the target is still a blurry mess.

Definitely going to tackle this as my winter project. I don't think I'll be able to get it CNC'd though. Hand power tools for me. Shouldn't be too hard for someone who dabbles in carpentry. Thanks to everyone for sharing.

Yea I don't care about the Windows functions just want to use helios and DCS with it. :)

I've lost the front on takeoff before. Don't remember what airport though. Tossed the front end up in the air and i was airborn. Did some Damage assessment and the front wheel was gone and couldn't raise the front gear. I'm thinking some of the cracks in the concrete runways are larger than graphically shown.

Staying out of their engagment zones is the best way. I just read A10's in Desert Storm. The tactic I read the most was to beam it till it's engine went out then pull into it hard while dropping Chaff and/or Flares. Of course to do that you have to be able to see it.

I installed these today and they are super blurry on my system. Are these High Texture use only? If so that would be good thing to put in the description. Yep had Low Textures selected. Super crisp on high! ED really needs to make the cockpit textures seperate from the world textures.

Sorry was tyring to be funny in my first post. It would just be like if you had a generic HOTAS system. Just find a configuration that works and program it in.

Does it tell you this somewhere? Or is something you found looking at the mission in the ME?

I can see TM relaesing a new HOTAS system for the next bird. Problem solved! :D

To map my HOTAS? 10 minutes. I haven't mapped the CDU yet. Mapping buttons doesn't take that long. Much less than flying a mission. And you only have to do it once.

Honestly I don't use any buttons on the keyboard accept for engine on off key strokes (which are getting mapped to my G940 throttle buttons tonight) and the F keys. If you have a hotas set up you won't actually use the keyboard that much. All of your important commands will be at your fingertips. Anything else you need to do can be done via the mouse. I've been contemplating just remapping the entire CDU to my keyboard...or using a seperate keyboard. Mouse clicking the CDU is the only thing I can't stand doing in this sim.

That is an awesome picture! It like the ejection seat booster rocket has heated the airframe so hot it's blue. Hottest blue being right at the flames. Lol

Im sure everyones set ups are different based on the wide variety of speaker systems and headphones people are using.
