Think of it as you are actually speaking on the radio and each time you select from the menu you are saying something in the mic. Select frequency. Key up the mic. F5 then slect tower F1 would be "Tbsili this is Hog1.." F1 for inbound would complete your message "is inbound". Kind of a pain. But more realistic. Maybe one day they will be able to actually capture your voice and you can't just talk like you would in real life. I also wish you didn't have to listen to yourself talk on the radio after you make all the menu selections. Making the selections should be your communication to whomever.

I find learning things is easier if i break the big process down into smaller processess and learn them individually then build up to the big process. This way I'm not trying to remember 15 steps. But maybe 4-5 at a time. Then put them all together.

Back up anything you want to keep on a seperate hard drive drive or DVD. Whatever you prefer. As you noted it won't save files on your instal drive. Good luck!

I know if you turn lights to zero you won't get any runway lights. I think it kills city lighting too. I'm not sure about aircraft lights. I believe haze is just what it sounds like. Kills the Haze on the horizon.

I must have something royally misconfigured. Could be my mobo. No new drivers or bios updates for it. I get 18 is fps in a flight when it's just me. 10 fps in most single player missions. In devils cross im lucky to break 7.

What happens to your games when/if steam goes belly up? It wont be around forever.

Eh steam is great for First Person Shooters and other similar games. I wouldn't run any flight sims through it though. You also can't give your games to say, I don't know, your kid either. Not without giving him your whole account. I ditched steam as soon as I realized that.

Ah! I was about to say turn the dials to the frequency you want! :D No clue how to change the default. I'm sure it's something you have to set up in the cockpit if you were to fly the real thing. :)

Just remembered. 124 has always been AWACS. At least in the campains. Its also what your AM radio is default to I believe.

Not at all. It was the first turn into the area with all the fueling trucks. Apparently the humvee driver isnt comfortable with that turn and decided to almost stop after completing the turn lol.

Probably need real player installed.

I just started the BFT Campain last night. I got through the first one with a Q-. Silly HumVee Driver needs to go back to drivers ed! :) I started the 2nd one. After I turned to 060 not much happened. I got bored and failed due to altitude. How long are you suppose to fly on the 060 heading? I just downloaded it yesterday so it should be v1.1. I'll double check when I get home. Awesome job! I was actually nervous going through the start up procedure. Loved it when the instructor said to make sure I got everything. I was double and tripple checking everything!

This mission is possible without engaging the SAM sites. It's also a great mission for finding SAM sites too! However you want to play it. :D

I'd just down load it and burn it to a DVD-R. I'd wager you will have to download a complete new update before DCS A10C is shelved. And that would make your store bought version obsolete. I normally prefer a hard copy myself. But I think in this case It's not needed....If it came with a printed manual...well that would be a different story. :D

HARS is what the A10A used. The A10C uses EGI. HARS is now the back up system incase you lose EGI. The buttons to chose are in front of the Stick. Easy to see if you are using Head Tracking Software. After you do a full allignment change from HARS to EGI and then you can engage EAC and get your FPM Velocity Vector back. Just another button to push during the start up procedures.
