He used GB 38's for that pass. they are gps guided. No laser needed. So he could drop on one then switch to the other and drop on that. I love how he used mark points to set it up. I'm still learning how to do all that snazzy stuff. Task saturation sets in a and I get lost real quick lol

I don't remember what it was called. It was on my C64. All I remember is it was an F18 (I think), wire frame, and I loved flying under the Golden Gate bridge that was in it.

Without building a full pit or multiple touch screens I don't think you are going to get out of using your mouse. Track IR/head tracking and clicking switches in the pit is no big deal. I'd much rather have a fully functioning cockpit but money, space, and time just aren't there for it.

While stuck at work on a mandatory overtime day, today I was pondering about the training missions, mission editor, and training missions I would like to make for myself and others in the future. I started to wonder if it was possible to add the cockpit que's that are in the Training missions in my own missions if I so chose to do so. AKA more refined training missions etc. What's this i see on page 83 of the GUI Manual, Trigger Actions.... "All actions with the "X" prefix are assigned to cockpit triggers and intended for training missions." Is that refering to the yellow indicators that pop up while doing the DCS Training Missions? If so, I think that opens up a huge potential for training missions. Along with this...While flying the training missions I'm constantly wishing I could have the Flight Instructor repeat his last. Would it be possible to build a mission where you could have the instructor repeat his/her last statement and or possibly start over? Maybe the instructor would say "If you need to repeat this lesson before moving on to the next part return to Way Point X on heading XXX at speed xxx and hit *appropriate key*" Admitly some of that would probably a little more complicated than most would want to get into. But I can think where it could be useful in training missions. 12 hour days and not much work lets the mind wonder.... :pilotfly:

My specs are in my sig. It runs pretty good. Haven't tried a heavy mission yet. Just flying around. More RAM and a better VCard and you should be ok.

Well, I've had A10C for about a week now. I've got my G940 set up, track IR is working, and the sim is running pretty stable on my old cpu. I can take off and land no problems. I've run through a few of the training missions a few times. Dropped a few bombs, straffed a few tanks, and now it's back to square one.....Basic Navigation and Systems.....I'll check back in a few months... :D

I dont like steam. Nothing that they have done. I'd just rather have direct control over the product I pay for with my hard earned money. So, I ordered straight from Eagle Dynamics.

I think you hit NUM4 while holding RCTL+NUM0. Try that.

Unfortunately Black Shark will generate axis commands for you. You need to go in and clear them out. Not sure why it does this because it assigns different axxis to the same command. Very frustrating when trying to figure things out.

One of the videos on the website showed what looked to be a lock. Then fired a Sparrow, then after some flight time the targetting box on the hud disapeared as if there was an impact. But there was no explosion and it was BVR in the clouds. So no clue really.

Hmmm. Says it comes with the Carrier launch and arrest systems but no carrier? Am I to assume someone else would build a carrier with their launch and arrest system?

Even if you can't do two seaters...Swap controls between Instructor and student via the multiplayer inviroment all in the same seat. Instructor does it. Then the student tries to reproduce his actions etc. Not sure that would be do-able though.

I got mine just for Black Shark. Now I'm itching to get into the A-10. I love it so far. Hopefully in a future software upgrade they might expand on the programability of it. So far, programming is pretty basic.

Actually I bought the G940 just for DCS Black SHark :). Long time ago I used the Cougar with Falcon 4.0. Just bidding my time till DCS A-10 comes along :) I have the same stiction in the pedals. I'll have to see if I can fix that one of these days.

Gadroc, Try this. Turn Overall Effect Strength and Dampening Effect to 20%. Your trim will stick. Then you can play with it from there.

95% of the time I can't even see the heli to attack it. So I just send a wingman while I extend away. Seems to work so far.
