Feels like a Troll now to me. Plenty of options have been given and only acceptable option for OP seems to be Paypal.

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
power5 replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I put a wing of them in a mission I am creating for myself and they can take a beating thats for sure. I had 4 of them and a single apache to assist them. The apache is usually RTB way before the little guys. Same Route and same objectives. Bad guys may see it as a priority threat and target it first before the OH-58s though. I like taking the role of the underdog though. Its challenging. -
Go back to sleep Mower. ;)
-
Hover just beyond the enemy's effective range and pick off the priority targets at max distance with Vihkrs. Get about 500feet AGL so you have a good angle on targets. You have 12 precision shots which should be enough for a small tank platoon plus some AAA. If you can not get the enemy taken care of before your tanks get withing their range, you just need more practice to be quicker. What mission is this? I am curious now. You are really on your own and it really feels like it in BS as the tanks would at least be talking to you IRL giving you directions to the target at least. Edit, I forgot about wingman sending targets back when you send him as recon.

http://www.visa.de/privat/prepaid/visa_prepaid_wo_erhaeltlich.jsp No idea what that says, but googled prepaid visa germany and found a forum with that link in it.

Read the mission brief and try to do what it says to. If your tanks are getting shot to pieces that is what I would focus on first. Taking out those targets. SAMs and AAA are just there to take you out, not your tanks. So, if you can avoid them, do so and focus on your objective. If the AAA and SAMs are prohibiting you from getting to your objective, you will need to sneak in and take them out. Rushing in is a sure way to get killed faster.

Amazing how they can just throw the plane around like that. Must be painful in the cockpit. Wonder how sore they are after a flight like that?

Where do you live? Go to walmart or some other store and buy a prepaid CC.

Those A2A look very sweet. Too bad there is nothing to do with the loadouts you can pick since its an FSX addon. If they make the next generation of IL2 look and interact like those videos, you can count me in. Edit: IL2 requires nothing done correctly to get the aircraft into the air and flying. Much of that is due to the simplicity of the aircraft. In DCS if you do not do the correct things, the A/C will not even start not to mention being able to use the weapons. I do like the physics and damage model of IL2. Just in most of my experiences control surfaces were lost very easily. Much of what is better with IL2 is mods and addons like F4. I don't really feel like re-installing IL2 to find a trim example but I know some of them were not able to trim for me. I am talking about a mostly IL2 package with just the patches. Could never get the ultra mod to install for some reason either. Again, I have no real problems with IL2.
-
Bad in its interface and graphics mostly. No idea about the FM of the aircraft. Problems I had with trim in many planes did not make them fun to fly. All in all IL2 is great. The map was always a PITA to utilize in my mind. I could never get a hang of the bombing either. The variety of planes is amazing and Oleg makes a great game. But with DCS, IL2 just feels like GranTourismo compared to Rfactor. Its a game trying to be a sim when its really a game. A very very good game, and entertaining for sure. BoB could very well be a WW2 DCS type game. Not much to be high fidelity really. No systems in the a/c, just a stick, pedals, throttle, and trigger. Not sure about the damage model in IL2. No idea how those planes took a burst from the enemy, but I always seemed to lose a control surface from the first couple squeezes of the enemies trigger. The new shiny may be tarnishing my memories of IL2, but that is what happens when progress moves on.
-
Is it a game or a mod? Will probably check it out when its released then. I did fire up IL2 a couple weeks ago before WH and was shocked how bad it seemed from what I remembered after flying BS. Then WH came around and I have not looked back.
-
Probably wont get back on IL2. DCS is just too good to go back to that era. If IL2 was redone in DCS quality and fidelity (not sure what that means for a plane with a couple machine guns and a single piston engine) it may be a different story. I did notice that some planes did not trim for some reason. Not sure what that was about. Could have been my setup, or maybe the FM of the specific airplane. Hitting the trim directionals did nothing for me in many planes though.

Does Free track work with DCS series? -
Definitely downloading when I get home. I have made myself a nice mission with some enemy, tanks, AAA, battleship, 3mi-28, 3ka50 and then 2 wingmen, and a flight of cobras. Get a huge FPS hit though and its unplayable. I am going to try to tweak some stuff, but its my first mission with any real detail. I think I have too many badguys. By the time I get locked to a target, my friends have already taken out half of the 30+ targets.

Never used a VRS but I am pretty sure you would only know where the systems were and not really how you use much of it in actual DCS fidelity. I will buy and fly anything that DCS release, but would be happier with the older system aircraft because it took more of a pilot to drive them than the new fly by wire jets. They just push the stick in the direction they want to go and the jet determines how to do that for them. -
In the Eagle Driver video mvsgas posted, can you throw the stick around like that in the F15? The pilot was just shoving it back and side to side as hard and fast as he could. When I do that in the A10 I stall.

Sorry. I played IL2 offline for ever and then tried online a couple years ago. Definitely much harder fighting a human than AI. I was shredded most times. Then found out most people do not use the cockpit view. Once I tried that, it was much easier to get kills and keep my SA. I still did not play online very much so never really looked at all the servers. Just found a couple like SOV and SOF that had a good feeling when I was on them. Not being part of a sqaud, nor having any TS really hurt my chances of surviving. Maybe I did not take a long enough search time on the IL2 servers and I appologize for generalizing.
-
I think you mean AC-130 variants. Already have it and use it. Not sure what kind of bombs it uses if it uses any, but its canons are very effective.
-
IL2 is also instant combat. Flip the thing on and you are airborne in less than 1 minute. No systems to align, or setup. Just take off and have your finger near the trigger. Much more air quake than FC2. Its all about kills and not about the method. "Oh, we are flying over water on this board, yay, oooh, spit to kill, lookout." Its fun for what it is, but very 1 dimensional online. I do not even think there are missions on any servers just deathmatch.

Wow, just looked through the entire thread. Great photos and finally we have an answer to the ultimate question. The F4 would make the best next module for the DCS series. :) Why oh why did they mess with the canopy on the F16? Redesign the entire thing (not a fan anyway) but the canopy was always spectacular. 100% crystal clear unobstructed view.

1 engages and disengages. 2,3,4 are the different modes. Not sure which are which. Just push a number and look at the switch.

Mirage would be swell. -
do I even have a chance with my current pc setup?

i7 920 is iffy on Medium? What resolution? Does resolution matter in Sims? CPU is doing all the calculations on FM and stuff, is the GPU used just to render the scene and is affected by resolution. Just wondering if the CPU stuff is affected by resolution or not as much. my e4300 is showing its age for sure. I made a mission last night and after adding in wingmen and a helo flight it was crawling at down to 9 fps in some spots when other craft were in the area. Really want to upgrade to the x6 AMD stuff. But I also want more screens and more flight sim stuff like MFCDs and such. -

Battlefield videos on you tube look like your pics. -
Make a bullseye on the bridge or set a waypoint on it. Take screen shots of the building and put them in the briefing and indicate that the photo shows the target. Could also get the coordinates and put them in the briefing.
