Same problem I have been having. Someone else as well. He recommended to click the pause button again and it worked for him. I am going to try this when I get home. I noticed in the missions that start with a running A/C that I hear a very brief engine sound after pressing pause, then nothing. Its like something locks up. As you said, I can still look around and am actually able to move the running A/C on the runway, but no buttons are clickable.

Was just giving you a hard time. In good fun. I understand your excitement in wanting to get the hog airborne though. Reading the manual and understanding the systems may provide more fun though. They did write the 650+ page manual for good reason though. The sim is supposed to be that detailed.

Need a sort of capture the flag mp mission. 2 ab with central ab as flag base. Both teams fly to center and land. Upon full stop flag is aquired and take off permitted. Player must then make it back to home ab. Guns only maybe. Could be fun for letting off steam.

There is lots of stuff in the manual. More than just the tgp info. You will need to know most of it. Part of the fun of these super detailed dcs sims is learning and reading the manual. If you just want to blow stuff up there is always game mode. :) :P

Wouldn't there be a hole where the gear and door ripped off the A/C?

There are work arounds for unlinking the rudder trim, but I have not been able to really get them to work. I usually trim, then quick tap z/x and the rudder recenters if I had it off center. Like you, I dont trim with rudder off center usually. If I accidentally do, I do as said. With a FFB stick, the cyclic will stay in place, but the rudder pedals are non FFB so they need to be recentered and will have no preceivable trim position.

That was an ancient post before final release of BS. Things changed over time and there are no add-ons any more. Each DCS release is a separate module. Would be nice to get something for loyalty though. Like a printed manual. :pilotfly: Considering we all paid for a pre-release Download at retail price and do not even get a box. :)

Nah, air quake with GAU equipped non radar planes will be much more fun than missile war in FC2.

Damnit. Woke up this morning and my download had failed. Had to restart Setup 1&2. Another 8+ hours. This is why I much much much prefer boxed versions. I don't suppose there is any refunds?

Not on torrents any more. I went to direct download because I can now get 85kB/s for each file instead of a max of about ..... well tried again and barely hitting 20kB/s. Looks like I will be playing tomorrow. Oh well. :(

Damn, I think my ISP is throttling me. Downloaded lots of stuff from my work FTP last couple days and I am now maxed out at -200kB/s. I have 15 hours left on download. If only we had some advanced warning I could have been ready. :P
