Not sure if the mode switch will work in game. I don't think it did in BS. Have you tried the mode switch yet?

Default flaps is F to lower and Shift F to raise. At least that is what I thought it was. Its what I am using. Open your speed brakes till you slow down then lower flaps. I think when you take off, the flaps will rise automatically.

Worthless GPU on CPU for gamers. Takes up space that should be used for cache. Any of the CPU listed are great. The extra speed of the i5 will probably be just about equal to the quads in this game as it does not take full advantage of multiple cores. I would opt for the AMD. Cheaper platform than the 1366 for the 950 and probably wont see much of a difference over the 860.

A10 will not be out for at least another month I bet. Retail not out till next year. I love BS. Dont remember learning it anymore, but I think it was easier than A10. I am having a hell of a time learning the avionics in WH.

Does the pause window go away when you push pause? My rpoblem is I have to push pause twice. First time window goes away but game is still frozen. Press again and I am good. Not all missions are like that though.

Let's hope not. That behind enemy lines documentary I saw with Owen Wilson shows how poor of an aircraft it is. Could not evade a SAM. The sam did have a very long engine ignition though.

I have had same issue and was not sure why it was happening. Always flames out my left engine. Could not restart either. Of course not knowing cause makes it a bit difficult.

There is still an ignition switch for each engine. Not sure what the point of them is. I was trying to start the engines the first time with them. Before I read how to start them on here.

Understood. I guess for myself if the D2D version was $10-$15 cheaper, I would understand. As it is, I am paying the same if not more than the eventual retail version and get nothing physical. Also, being in the packaging industry, I have to support my craft and those who spent the time designing the DCS boxes. Getting a box designed and mass produced, art for the box made, DVDs produced, and everything else packaged and sealed then shipped, should cost about the same as a printed manual being shipped. So that would be a nice exchange for the box and associated stuff it usually comes with. Send us downloaders a manual. :)

FRAPS has a benchmark mode? I have only used it a couple times. I mainly go by seat of the pants. :) I have jettisoned my stores on the ground and get a good 1 full second lag before the explosion images. Should I run the same mission I suppose? Make a mission that has me on the runway or something. Or is there a benchmark mission already created I could use?

So no one else has a nose wheel slightly turned to the left when they disengage NWS? I am able to take off and land using the NWS. I have only made one landing so far, but thinking back, I do not think the NW was angled left when I landed. I engaged NWS as soon as I could though. Will have to make a few more landing and take off attempts. I will also make a short trk from the ramp to show the wheel turn when NWS is disengaged. This should have nothing to do with my joystick calibration since the NW is disengaged.

Will have to try this tonight. I get some slow downs when I am flying fast near the ground.

Going to bed tonight. Finally got some things figured out in the cockpit and decided to have a go at this challenge. Note, this is my second flight. I had one before the challenge thread was started. But my controls were all wonky so you can see what happened. Tired to hit the brakes before running off the end of the runway. Wingie crashed into me. Will try the record avi tool tomorrow to turn these into youtube. I will try to add some cool music too. :P I cheated a bit and dumped my stores soon after take off. Wow the bird was heavy.
