TVC Pilot

I have a constant buzzing sound when flying or when I pause the game. It is barely noticeable when flying, very noticeable when the game is paused. I tried unplugging some of the USB connectors for stick, throttle, etc. and the buzz briefly stops when I unplug and plug it back in. I don't have this problem with any other app. When exiting the game, the buzz stopps before the game closes. Checked the Forum and can't find any reference to a buzzing sound. I just installed a new ASUS 4070 Ti Super vid card. I don't think I had the problem before that. Any help is appreciated.

That was it, I had flat shadows and when I changed it to medium all is well. Thank You!

I don't have any unofficial mods that I know of. I do have a set of targets for a mission a friend made. I'll try the repair. It had been ongoing before I downloaded 2.9.

I've noticed this for a while, the sun appears to shine through the fuselage and in the foot well for the rudder pedals. I think the stick is below the canopy rail but it appears lit by the sun also. It also shines on the inside of the tailpipe through the fuselage. The pictures were taken with the sun just barely above the horizon at a 90-degree relative bearing. My brother downloaded the DCS Updater GUI and his screen shows Internet Connection Status: Not Connected in red. We can't find a way to connect the DCS Updater GUI to the internet. He is able to use his browser to search etc, and DCS connects to the internet.

I often use the map ruler to get to an airport. I've just realized that the map ruler gives direction in true heading. Would it be possible to have an option for magnetic heading? That would be more useful for quick navigation on the F-10 map.

Back to the topic, having more realistic USAF ground ops in the ground menu would be nice!

I tried to set up a multiplayer FWAF mission. I followed the instructions in the July 21 newsletter. When I get down to the slide with the caption "You need to select your preferred mission by selecting your aircraft of choice and double clicking the "SINGLE" mission folder or select it by a single click and press the green "START" button." I don't see the list of aircraft to pick from, just some sort of mission folder window? I did search through the folders and found the mission and selected it. I had an IP address and port that I passed to the other person but nothing happened?

Another enhancement for the F-10 map ruler would be to be able to select magnetic or true. Most of the time I use the ruler for direction to an airport. In the Caucuses map, it is always 6 degree's off due to magnetic variation.

I've also noticed this on a couple of multi player servers I fly on. It is still an issue. The missions I have created with KC-135 tankers don't display this abnormality. Also, Storm is correct the outboard ailerons are locked out when the flaps are fully retracted.

That is a good point, I had just finished an AR. Now that you mention it, it has occurred after I AR, but I think it has happened at other times too. Perhaps the change to the control sensitivities with the AR door open has something to do with it.

I had it happen the other day again. Not as violent as before, a lot less wing flex. Short clip of video attached showing external view and HUD showing airspeed going to 0 then increasing back up. I did turn it on, but that might be a clue, the MP server I'm on is set to winter right now. Not sure the temp.

Twice now flying on an MP server, I have had the airplane start moving up and down. I look out at the wings and with an aim 9 on the tip, it was flexing up and down about 20 deg. On the second sortie, with no weapons, the wing was flexing up and down. I looked at the elevators and they were going + / - 30 deg at about a 2 cycles a second. I was at about 12,000 feet and around 400 kts. Has only happened on MP server, now when flying my own missions. Any idea what causes this?

After download of the latest beta, All I get is a window that turns black after the DCS logo. Nothing happens. I read in previous forum to re-name dcs folder in saved games. Game opens but all settings are gone. Must be something in saved games that prevents it from opening. I have a clean install.

Great Thanks! I'll go try it again soon, hope you can see why it was having me fly into lead. The text and voice messages were the same, both telling me to move left into lead.

Hi, I flew this evening on your formation server, cool idea but I had a few questions. My call sign was Sparty 72. I took off and followed the instructions to get to the lead aircraft. At 7,000 feet I would have to have flown through some mountains! so I deviated higher. Then I found lead, was cleared into the formation. Medium line abreast right I think. Once I got settled in, it kept saying move left I did and it kept saying move left, so I raised up a little and when I was right over the B-1 it said Success!! 25 points. Following the instructions I would have collided with lead?? So, then it said go in loos trail, tried that for a while and then went back and landed. Doesn't seem to be any way to tell them I'm headed home? And last, after I landed and points were recorded, it said, check F10 menu? F10 is the map? So, some comments from a first time user. Also, 7,000 feet is a little low for jets, but you might use the same mission and change airplanes for props.

Magnificent NOOB to the F-16 and DCS, This was fantastic!!

I'm having a lot of difficulty refueling, I'm pretty new and have practiced flying off the tanker wing for a while. That seems to be getting better. Problems arise when I open the AR door and the gains change in the FCS. Then I'm all over the place!!
