Hi all Is there a bug when taking off with the wingman? I noticed that the wingman will sometimes taxi down the runway when I'm ready to take off then stop in front of me, I have to squeeze past him to take off. He doesn't do this all the time. Is there a procedure I'm not following? Is there a way to get the wingman to taxi and take off at the same time?

Has anyone come up with a way to have different configs for different missions? There's some sort of software for FSX that allows you to launch FSX with different setups, I think this would be handy for altering graphic settings for different missions etc

LALT + ENTER to full screen the DCS window on your monitor. There's an option you can select in the VR tab, keep pointer in game window or something like that but it doesn't work for me. The pointer will disappear if you don't use it for a while that's normal, you can assign a key to hide the pointer when not using it, I think it's L ALT+C as default

Think I've sorted it thanks, you where right Ian they weren't installed correctly, i couldn't reinstall them like you said ,so I installed the whole thing and started again which fixed it. Thanks for all your help John

No that doesn't work! There's two things you can do in that tab, you can disable the aircraft's, or delete. When I delete them it closes back to the desktop, then an on screen message asks permission to alter files, select yes and it closes. When I go back into the sim the aircraft is still listed as installed. Don't understand why you would want to disable it but that doesn't do anything either. Any ideas?

Thanks for that will try when I get home.

Thanks for the quick response, how do you deactivate them?

I've noticed in VR a problem with the nose wheel lights on the M-2000C, and the red strobe light on the KA50 are not projecting onto the ground but about one foot or so above the ground, this seems to play havoc with my eyes, i can turn the strobe light off in my cockpit but the wingman's light is still there, and I don't know how to turn off the nose wheel lights, this make me feel sick, can they be disabled somewhere? (The nose wheel light on the A10 seems ok) I have also noticed that the tree shadows are not on the ground and appear the same distance from the ground as the strobe lighting and nose wheel. This doesn't bother me though but there's some short of a problem with ground reflections I think.

Can't seem to fly the L-39 Albatros or the UH-1H Huey, they appear but l can't pilot them, in the mission editor i have them selected as player but when I launch the sim it starts at the map screen. When I select one of the view keys the aircraft's there I'm just a spectator!! Anyone else having this problem

Don't get any response from wingman or tower when issuing commands, although they still seem to respond

I thought it was quite expensive but got it anyways, turned out I’d only gone and bought the Nevada bundle by mistake!!!! Shouldn’t of been so eager I already have the Nevada map

I only got the L39c from steam I don't have missions for the za in the mission folder and if I create a mission editor I only have the L39c in the aircraft folder
-
I think I only got the 39c how do you get the 39za?
-
Sorry I ment to say game flight mode not game avionics
-
Thanks for the response, I have now found this only happens when game avionics is ticked in settings. If this is not ticked then everything is fine (level flight and trimmer works fine) if game avionics is ticked the nose will pitch up aggressively and the trimmer didn't work, the stick has to be constantly pushed forward to maintain level flight
-
Just downloaded the L-39 steam edition, having problem with the trimmer, the nose pitches up but the trimmer doesn’t seem to have any effect. The animation on the stick works i.e. when I trim down the stick will push forwards but the nose will carry on pitching up whatever I do. Have tried assigning other keys but still get the same affect, any ideas?

Yes I do understand that but most vids on YouTube seem to sound better than I get, perhaps they have mobs or maybe their speaker setup is different but you can clearly hear a rotor sound in the cockpit, I want that sound. As I have said I will soon be installing DCS onto a new SSD HD fresh install of Windows so maybe just maybe it will sound better. If not I think I,ll just have to accept its me and the sounds are as they are
-
Headphones sound the same as the speakers, I'm installing Windows at the moment on a new hd, haven't done this for a long time so when I get things running I'll let you know if it makes any difference, you never know
-
Yes tried switching of hear in helmet but to be honest it makes more of a hissing sound so put that back on. It's hard to describe what I can hear but it's as though I'm in an aircraft rather than a helicopter, you don't get that beat of the blades like I would expect. The only time I hear the blades is if I suddenly drop the collective or make a sharp turn then it sounds great, when the helicopter settles the sound of the blade stops. You guys haven't said whether you get a better sound than me,
-
Thanks for the response i have tried these replacement files before they don't seem to make any difference, i don't think i can hear the rotor sounds in the first place so replacing them with new ones don't make any difference, i think it must have something to do with my sound setup so will keep trying that. once again thanks for the support
-
OK will have a play with the settings although I have tried before, don't get me wrong I don't have sound problems with other games or even DCS it's just that when I checkout YouTube videos on the black shark the cockpit sounds a lot better than mine in terms of rotor sound, I get a good clear sound in external views etc so will have another look at the settings later
-
Thanks for the quick response, I only get a hum in the black shark, I seem to get a more realistic sound in the Huey. I know pilot's probably don't hear the sound of the blades I just think it adds to the realism, F1 drivers don't hear other cars when racing but its good to hear them in a sim. Maybe it's because I only have stereo speakers?
