  1. I have the same issue as Gunnergolly, Sim Shaker updated automatically and then stopped working. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with anti-virus off, still not working!!! Have installed Sim Shaker many times before and never had a problem Gunnergolly did you find a fix?
  2. I’m no expert on this but I have an i7 and I think the only difference between the two is that the i7 has Hyper-Threading, I have Hyper-Threading turned off for two reasons, my CPU gets too hot with it running and apparently you get a performance hit when gaming. So I would save yourself some money and go with the i5, unless you need Hyper-Threading for other reasons
  3. I found the performance to be better
  4. I wasn’t impressed at first I didn’t have much luck with 2.2 and preferred 1.5 so wasn’t expecting much, and when I first gave it a try I was right differed shading on was a stutter fest and without it things looked to washed out. Last night I updated my nvidia drivers deleted the saved games folder and had a play, well all I can say is wow, the performance for me was as good as 1.5 but with all the extra bling 2.5 has to offer. I fly mainly around Mozdok and Beslan due to performance issues in 1.5, the scenery now flying around the river is stunning which I could normally only say that when using a monitor. But the good thing is now I seem to be able to go any ware on the map and get the same performance, and the sea well that’s unbelievable just like the real thing and that’s in VR, it’s early days yet but I can’t believe the difference it’s made for me i7 7700 @ 4.9GHz, Nvidia 1080ti, 32GB DDR4
  5. I do kind of know what you mean, I don't get the feeling of taking off any more like the first few days of flying, you just get used to it I suppose but it's still way better than flying with a monitor though
  6. I haven't got an issue with it I'm just commenting on an issue raised by someone else, I suggest if you have an issue with what's being posted on this site don't bother yourself commenting
  7. That will solve the problem with gloves visible in the cockpit but as I said in my last post it doesn’t solve the issue with the controllers being visible
  8. Yes the gloves have been there for a long time, that's if the sensors can see them and they are on but if I use the beta oculus home I see the touch controllers (not Gloves) on top of the Harrier canopy even if my controllers are off with no batteries
  9. If you can only afford a 1080 then you've answered your own question, the main thing for DCS is your CPU speed so it depends on what CPU your using, if you are around 4.8 gig I don't think you'll notice much of a different between a 1080 and a 1080ti for the money. You just need to buy the best that you can afford and go with that. Obviously going with the 1080ti would give you the best performance
  10. I see the controllers sat on top of my canopy at the moment, I do have controllers but see them even with the batteries removed
  11. Yes it's my favourite helicopter, the cockpit looks great you really feel cramped in there. Good to see you've sorted it out
  12. It will disappear if you don’t use it but should reappear when you move the mouse. Do you have it mapped to a button on your HOTAS? I think show/hide cursor is default ALT/C. Sometimes it can move over to your left or right side out of sight just move the mouse about until it comes in view, just a though as I don't have this problem
  13. If I turn at 1 - 2g at the start of a flight I feel it, then suddenly making the same turn I feel nothing almost as if it's stopped working. If I apply the speed break I feel that, then suddenly can then feel it again but sometimes only on the one side, (I feel it when turning left but not when I turn right for instance). I'm not by any means an expert on this but this doesn't happen with the old version of the software so I've gone back to that for now
  14. I have just updated to sim shaker for aviators, from the DCS World and Falcon BMS version and get this same problem, the G-effect comes and gose with the F15 and the Harrier. Not tryed with any other yet
  15. They are well worth the money, plug and play, they match the A10 and harrier out of the box so no need to assign keys. You can assign all buttons with other aircraft so you rely less on the keyboard. I stick small rubber grommets to the centre button of each row (pick them up from any DIY store to stop cupboard doors slamming) I can almost get the right button every time now as I have them mounted on my desk about the same distant apart as the A10 after a while you will wonder how you ever managed without them
  16. There's a pilot body in some of the aircraft as with non-vr but none have been added recently if that's what you mean.
  17. I agree DCS 1.5 runs a lot better than Nevada, looks good too specially with Mustang's terrain mod. I don't use the beta version though, I'm happy with an older version, I think the updates to 1.5 and 2.1 kills it for vr users, every update causes me more problems, must admit though some don't have a problem even with a lower spec than mine. I have also given up on 2.1 can't afford the disc space, it's a pain though as I was looking forward to some of the new aircraft
  18. You may have to have num lock on but I don't know, give it a try
  19. Yes this is the only way that I can get it to save my position in the cockpit, try it, it will only take you a minute or so, you can always put it back if it doesn’t work!!
  20. Make sure you have use snap view saving ticked in the misc settings, when you then set your position in cockpit using Alt NUM 0 it will always return to this position when you re-enter the cockpit
  21. Yes hand tracking or gloves would be ok but I don't think touch would work well for me
  22. Are you sure you don't have v-sync ticked in settings? This causes stuttering
  23. What version of 1.5 do you have? I don’t have an issue with1.5 but have that problem with 2.1
