The black shark is great in VR it's not as optimised as others but won't be much different than the Huey, but as hansangb says the Gazelle is pretty dam good!! I find it is the best at giving you the feeling you're flying a helicopter it can be a bit tricky to fly but once mastered you.won't go back, I fly the Gazelle most of the time.

Do you have 'User Snap-view' enabled in your options?

It all depends on what your prepaired to sacrifice, I struggle to get DCS to run smoothly running at 4.8ghz with a 1080ti on 2.1 and even 1.5 on some missions. I always say get the best you can afford and you can't go wrong, I think the 2500K @ 4.1 will struggle on medium to high settings, so everything on low I'm afraid but it's still worth it in my opinion if you don't want to wait until you can afford something better

OK thanks for that I will have to have a look at this later, I could only see run exe in my files so will take another look when I get a minute. Do you have a exe run in you DCS folder or just the DCS exe?

It seems to work fine for me too when I set it to one version only, I point it to the DCS exe file which is called run exe in the DCS World folder, if I then want to set a profile for DCS 2 Alpha, I point it to the exe file in the DCS 2 folder which is also called run exe. When I save this profile there is only one profile saved, this happens when trying to make a profile for any DCS version on my system there is only one exe saved, I assume that what ever is saved in that profile will apply to which ever version I run so I don't seem to be able to have a different set up for each version. How do you get over this?

Does this have something to do with how many versions of DCS you have installed? I have four versions, in the Oculus menu the icons look the same for all four as the executable file is the same so maybe it gets confused. It launches sometimes but other times I get the same, just an aircraft in the hanger. I have a problem when trying to set PD etc in the oculus tray tool for each version because it will only save one executable called run and they all have an executable called run!!

You can see them as a pair of gloves in the sim but can’tuse them for anything yet. It’s a bit of a pain sometimes when they are picked up for some reason when sitting on a shelf in my room and appear floating outside the cockpit So keep them out of sight when in DCS!!

I haven't seen that so will look later, it was working ok a while back so maybe an update has changed it!

The problem for me is that if I re center the view with num pad 5 I am too close to the HUD so I alter the position with the num pad keys and save it with num pad 0, now when I press num pad 5 it will re center fine. When I re start the mission I'm to close to the HUD and have to go through the process again. In DCS 1.5 once I save the position with num pad 5 it seems to remember the settings even after a reboot!

I went from a 1070 to a 1080ti, I have noticed a slight difference but I also changed my CPU from a 4690 @ 4.6 to a 7700 @ 4.8, so I don't know what made the difference, probably the CPU to be honest, I look at it (to justify the cost) if you have the best then there's nothing else you can do to improve DCS and you will also get the best performance from other VR games But I don't think the improvement you see would justify the cost unless you have plenty of money that is!!

When i enter the cockpit I'm always too close to the HUD, I use the num pad to alter this pressing ALT and 0 on the num pad saves the position during the flight. My problem though is with DCS 2 at the moment I have to do this every time I enter the cockpit now, before it would save that position every time unless I used the num pad to alter it. It saves it in DCS 1.5, does anyone know how to fix this?

I have noticed since the latest update (1.5.7) that flat only shadows seem to be the same as shadows off? Also I don’t see any smoke or burning from missiles until they hit the target, I think that was the case with 1.5.6. don’t know if that’s already been reported

Yes I’ve had one for about 6 months, you don’t realise how good it is until it doesn’t work for some reason or other, (it’s brilliant with the Gazelle) When you’ve gone over to VR from using monitors there’s no going back!! Well it’s the same with the jet seat. I don’t get on with the new software though, I don’t find the feedback as good but that’s probably just me, my motto is if it ant broke don’t fix it!! So I’m using the old software for now

Hi all I'm just getting into the Mirage and am having problems with refueling, first off the throttle doesn't seem the same as the f15c, when I'm slowly approaching the basket I don't seem to have small adjustments like I do with the f15c so I'm ether going to fast or two slow, can this be altered in the throttle configuration or is it a true charastictic of the aircraft? Do you have to prepare the aircraft to take fuel? When I do connect it seems to disconnect straight away as if I don't need fuel Thanks in advance for any help

I'm not complaining I'm just commenting on having the same problems with DCS world 2 at the moment as Gunfighter2 the thread is about using 3 monitors!! I'm well aware that it's an Alpha build the clues in the title thank you very much.

Yes I have a 1080ti and find dcs world 2 unplayable!! It sometimes annoys me when people comment on this as though people are making it up. I had no problems before the update and now the colour is washed out, it's too bright, it stutters, all the ground shadows are green and it's​ no where near as smooth as it was before the latest update. Others don't seem to be having problems so it must be related to the graphics card. Going back to your original question yes I got rid of my three monitor setup because I don't see the point in dcs without the rift.

Yes it seems that way but I have tried to install several different versions and get the same message, it seems at the moment you can only update to the latest build. It may be a temporary thing so I will give it another go later Thanks for the response I understand that they wouldn’t keep all versions on the server but don’t see any reason to remove a relatively new build and leave lots of older versions!!

Sorry I didn’t make it clear that I was talking about the GUI utility­, I have tried that and tried using the command prompt method and all I’m getting is a message saying that the version is not available. I have tried to install other versions as well and get the same message. It seems that they have been removed so that you can only update to the latest build, anyone who has updated to the latest version and finds It unusable (like most) will not be able to go back!! May be it’s a temporary fault, I will give it another go later

I have had this ticked since it was implemented a while ago but it doesn't seem to work for me, i thought it was broken!! I always alt enter. Can anyone confirm that keeping the pointer in game actually works?

You didn't need to purchase them twice!! You have 9 installs when you buy so it doesn't cost any extra!!
