I wonder if it completely covers your eyes or if you can glance under it to see our keyboard/ input device to play a flight sim. I'd hate to try to program every mfd button to my hotas :joystick: -

Wow, don't you have your panties in a bunch. Can you point me where the firmware increases the performance of the camera? From what I've read it makes it able to track movement closer to the device so it works on a desktop vs living room environment. If it does increase the performance of the camera, halejulah! I too look forward to ditching having to wear the pro clip and having natural head tracking with no gear. You don't have to be condescending because we have different viewpoints. -

No, I've simply have gone from TIR1 to 3 to 5 and even though TIR1 ran at 60hz I remember the lag it had compared to the 120hz of 5. I've also seen reviews of people using Kinect in Forza that have used TIR and they all report the lag between moving your head and it happening on screen. It isn't much, but it is noticeable and it's equated to the 30hz of the camera. A firmware upgrade can't increase the hardware specs. I'm too cautiously optimistic and hope its everything that people hope it is, but I do see a serious shortcoming pointed out by other users and my own experience going from a 60hz to 120hz device. -

Building your curves properly remove any small head 'shivers' and speed up relative movement the farther you look from center. The smoothness slider dampens the whole curve. -

What source do you have that they are replacing the 30Hz camera in Kinect for PC? Why would they 2 different inventory and production trails and double ( or more because a faster camera would be more expensive) their costs? In the video it's an Xbox 360 and Kinect as its used in Fornza. It is laggy. You can see the fraction of a second difference from head movement and movement on screen. It is like when smoothness is cranked right up in TIR and your chasing the camera with your head. That's why you turn smoothing down to 0 in TIR. As long as you can get god fps in a game the fact that TIR5 is sampling at 120fps you will never get ahead of the camera and don't need smoothness set at all. I'd love for a good head tracking without any lights, but as it stands Kinect is a downgrade in responsiveness. I'll wait and see what people do with it, but I don't want any lag. -

Big difference is that Kinect samples at 30hz while TIR5 is 120hz You can see a definite lag from the head movement to it reacting on screen. -
decided to fire up FC2 after been playing DCS for awhile and found that the zoom level is tight against the hud and I can't zoom it out far back enough. For the people with eyefinity, how do you zoom out from being tight to the hud?

Does TH2G do the full 5760x1080 with the 3 monitors? -
Matrox TripleHead2Go v Nvidia 3D
DayGlow replied to Mule's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
For Nvidia you need to run 2 cards in sli to get 3 screens. Ati requires only one card. TH2G is resolution limited. http://www.widescreengamingforum.com is a great resource -
TripleHead2Go is resolution limited. To use x3 high rez 16:9 or 16:10 You need to use the Amd or Nvidia solutions. I have no experience with SoftTH, I maybe wrong, but it maybe DX limited (ie not supporting DX10/11' not sure) http://widescreengamingforum.com/ This site is a great resource.

It's not bad, but it is tinker-required. Not every game has an sli profile so you'll have to create it, plus not every game is sli friendly. Some flat out won't work. Since this is the case it doesn't make sense to have x2 midrange/value cards when a single high end card has similar performance with less issues. Sli does make sensebwhen you are pushing the edge of performance, ie x2 580's. Is the cost of x2 560 significantly less than a single 580? What's the performance delta between them?

As a former sli user duel cards work great when they work, but are a major headache to configure with some games. I would always recommend the single card over sli. As for surround gaming you would need sli to run it, but you can't run a forth monitor from the cards. You'll still need a seperate card to run the other display.

I have a 6970 and run 5760x1080 eyefinity with DCS A-10 no problem. The card will run the game fine.

sure thing. I went back to an extended desktop so each monitor is individually driven and loaded up DCS on the center monitor so it's running at 1920x1080 on a single display. Still running at full screen TouchIR isn't able to capture the MFCDs. All I can see in the MFCDs is my desktop while running DCS. Switch to windowed mode and it sees the GUI and load screens no problem and will display the MFCDs in flight. -

Is the USB plugged directly into your motherboard or into a hub? If a hub try directly to your mb. -
On my second clip as well. The first broke when the dog caught the headphone cord and pulled them off the desk and broke the little tab off in one of the joints. The second pair is going 2 years strong. I remove it from my headphones when I'm not using it.

Nope, both are the same. When I run full screen I can see my desktop in the mfd display, but it never updates to the mfd overlay setup in the game. When I run windowed it does show the overlays. I run a triple monitor eyefinity setup, but I don't think that would really make a difference as windows treats it as on big single monitor. -

Works well, only thing is that it only works in Windowed mode? I can't get it to run while DCS is fullscreen. Much rather have fullscreen as at 3 monitor resolution windowed mode really slows things down. Also is there any way i can speed up the screen grab fps? It's just a tad too slow to make using the target pod fluid. -
How to set 3 cameras in windows 7

Are you using Ati Eyefinity or Nvidia surround, or just have 3 screens in total not using a video card designed to display one single large image across them? -

How does the live feed work? Does it get displayed somewhere on the monitor running the sim and then sent to the iPad?
