Official word from Developers regarding release of 1.1

Sad to see grown people revert to an 8ry old mentallity of, 'I want it now' I'm disapointed. I would love to by cruising in my SU-25T right now. But I understand that all things aren't predictable. Could it be that the delay wasn't announced because they thought they could get the authentication server up and running? How many people would be here if they DL the game, only to not be able to play because servers crash under a load, to bitch and complain and would be in the exact same spot they are now? How many online games have had this problem? I'd make an uninformed conclusion that this means that setting up servers for this sort of thing is not a piece of cake, many game companies have struggled with it. Finally, why would members of ED come to this forum, talk to the 100 or so regulars that are posting here and get called clowns. Time to open your eyes and realize that you core people of the forum do not make up the majority of community, that you don't represent everyone , but do drive the charater of the forum. Why should the devs come and interact with a small group of people that complain about everything and call them names. Time to grow up, take you lumps and wait for the game. -
I'm so glad you decided to start a new thread about this since you already made the same post in the other StarForce thread. To show that you are really serious you should try double or triple posting this.

The only "rethink" I see, is that we got a demo without StarForce. IMO they didn't change the CP plan of the release version. Now where are the patches for 1.02? Where are the bugfixes? You have to buy the addon for bugfixes. This is alright with me, but imagine the situation of a new addon or even a new game. Imagine the support of FC at that time. Imagine the support they are going to put into the registration process if you come along after a few years, unwilling to buy their newest product. Sorry, I'm sceptical. This is in no way a proof, I know. I just have a bad feeling about all of this. I do respect ED, but I don't trust a business company, except if it's written down somewhere. ED has been in business long before LOMAC. You want to know how they treat their customers? Flanker 2.5 was released for free, adding many new fixes plus the SU-33 and Mig-29. It was to be a pay addon, but was 86'd before it came out. Instead of scrapping it, they released it free of charge. I say they support their products after they have your money. ________ CR125M

I believe as long as the hardware is the same, Starforce will create the same key from it, so your registation won't change. As Matt said, you can reinstall as many times as you want, it's just when your hardware profile changes, then Starforce will require a new registration. ________ green crack pictures

yes, but that's not what you said. A new computer is a new config, so it would use a registartion. That doesn't mean you have to phone them and hope they let you put it on a computer. It means you have to re-register with SF like you would if you swapped out 40% of your hardware. There is nothing in their statements that says sofware effects change or that you would have to phone them up to change a computer. Also if you have followed the thread it's 5 re-registrations, not 3. Over that 5 it hasn't been cleared up how you would reset your registation count. That's the only issue that needs to be addressed. ________ digital vaporizers

After changing about 40% of your hardware / or 3 major hardware /software changes, you'll have to ask for a new registration as far as I understood. It's a similar protection as with WinXp. For a completely new system, you'll better call their hotline, explaining your situation. :D ) whoa there, and where exactly did you get this info? Software changes? New system you'll have to call? You really shouldn't answer questions when you don't know the answer. ________ volcano vaporizers

I love the 'warez' experts that anounce copy protection doesn't work. Why? What research is that based on, or is it a casual observation? I have more confidence that a software company such as ED puts more thought and research into copy protection before they use it. 10 to 1 they have choosen StarForce because it actually works. So everyone that complains CP doesn't work should really show why it doesn't. Not through saying a illegial copy will be bought in Bangkock, but though actual market research they or someone else has done. Quite simply I have more faith that ED knows what they are doing than some annoymous person on the interweb who proclaims they are a CP expert. ________ marijuana vaporizers

If you read Wags post you can install as many times as your heart is content. Even if you load up an old image and install, the actual hardware on your system would not have changed. From what I understand from your post you have no problems ________ silver surfer vaporizer

Never said anyone is a Moonbat, just the hystaria :P Already we have people quoting other people that have made an unfounded obersvation and using it as facts to propel their comments. All we need now is the obligtory 'Starforce put a virus on my computer' comment and we will have a full circle 8) ________ full melt bubble hash

got to love the the same moonbat hystaria is flying around as always. Yes ED needs to clarrify, but that means people should wait, not go on and on about how they won't pay. No one has said they have to yet. Guess what? It's Friday, sometime in the afternoon in Russia. I highly doubt anything will be said over the weekend. This thread should get interesting as the moonbat hystaria gets out of control. ________ juggalos

the casual piracy is much larger than the p2p areana, so it makes sense to use copy protection. As for key-gens, that's exactly what SF's system protects against. Since the key is generated from your hardware signature you can't share it across the net, and any key that is over active is shut down. That's why people don't like SF, because it's hard to crack. ________ vapor genie vaporizer -

how is it treating you like a pirate to ask to verify your license after 3 major upgrades. That means dropping in a new video card, motherboard or cpu. So maybe once a year, if you are an upgrade freak you would have to spend 5 minutes getting a new key. I really fail to see how that makes it treating you like a pirate. ________ launch box vaporizer -

I don't really understand the hystaria behind registy entries left after uninstall. Pretty much every piece of software leaves something behind, so you have to clean it once and awhile. Most 30 day trials of software leave something behind so you can't just uninstall it and reinstall it afterwards. ________ rolling a joint -

and is the orginal poster a official representative from ED stating their position? It very well could be only 3 major upgrades and your sunk, but since no one has the slightest clue if it's true or not, it's pointless getting all worked up over. ________ medical marijuana -

I think the discussion is about the 3rd Upgrade. Not install. Ok, where does it say you pay after the 3rd upgrade? Nowhere. It states you need to go to the website and get a new key. Again people are running around in hystaria with zero facts. ________ hash -

humm, where does it say after 3 installs you have to re-buy? I don't see it anywhere, so please use some common sense before you try setting off the rumor mill. It says after 3 activations on a key you need to go the the website and get a new key. Nothing, zero about having to buy that key. ________ CR450 -
or bite the bullet and have custom controls for each plane. We already have the dropdown menu for different modes, how about a 'all' and every plane dropdown menu. That way with the ground attack planes you can have the release controls mapped out, but radar aren't needed, vice versa for the air superiority planes, etc. ________ synthetic weed

How are the real F-15 controls set up? I know in Falcon 4 the SP patches have added such features as the TMS switch, pinky button, dogfight mode/missle mode, etc. It really streamlines the controls and makes the complex avionics much easier to control. ________ vaporizer shop

I remember the Mig29 addon for Falcon3 had it. Worked great, but as explained in the manual it doesn't know when the target is destroyed, so if there are parts that are still big enough to track it would keep firing, even after the target was shot down. ________ ST series -
