after finally getting my rig back up and new Win 7 - got black shark up and running and no annoying crash that vista was! yay.... now cant get my Cougar to work. I get STTubeDevice203.dll is missing .... Frugals World seems to have a fix but its down ! any ideas ? I got the Vista 64bit driver and installed that.... (I tried the post here.... that said use the original Cougar drivers but that didnt work either) Anybody got there cougar and win 7 64 bit playing happily ?

hmmm tried this on Win 7 64 bit and it wouldnt detect at step 5

ok guys Ive got my DCS installed at present on my 2 raptors in raid Vista 64.... looks like Windows 7 is Aok on my other drive.... time to install it onto the 2 raptors I think. whats the best way to do this regarding DCS and the protection ? Im gonna do a clean install of Windows 7 64bit anyways.

ok X axis shape is 8 100 50 40 from top to bottom. y axis is 30 100 100 0 what curve should I be looking at fellas ?

I'm getting to grips with the ap and trim etc... But I'm thinking the cougar aint the subtlest of sticks for dcs. Is there away I can dumb down the stick so its not so sensitive. I adjusted the dead spot.... Do I adjust the saturation or something in game? I don't want it lurching forwards or back with the smallest of push/pull on stick. Thanks in advance.

Yeah its better... But just slower. There's still a dead spot towards straight on but still not really smooth looking... Maybe I adjust the curve. I've mapped the cougar so that when I hit the quick startup it also enables the precision button to be pressed

i just mapped a button on the cougar.... i level up or point where i want to be --- hit the (cougar) x button - it centres my rudeer then I trim..... seems to work a treat so far......

if i map a x or z to cougar this may work ? - i think this is the problem for me as on releasing my pedals they dont always go back to centre so I guess I trim in some of this rudder.... I was thinking this im my (I know not ideal) G25 pedals ?

yeah since connecting my G25 pedals... if I use the new method... im still flying a turkey - gone back to the old trim setting last night and flew around and landed for a good hour or so - so gonna map a button for x or y on my stick and see if this cancels out the non centre rudder effect im seeing (saw this in another post) and see if the new trim works with that - seems to me whenever I have used the rudder and left go it doesnt always go bang on in the middle - I guess I trim and then trim a slight rudder amount in there with it.... using the old trim method seems to bypass my dodgy pedals ?

just reading a review myself - wondering whether to ditch the cougar & throttle and the G25 pedals for the G940... so will look forward to any info when the G940 is released.

thanks. I cant see precision mode or f7 option - is this in the new 5.xxxx software? I have the most upto date 4.xx version.

ok Ive had Trackir forever but never really gave it much of a chance to be honest. While looking at the producers notes and seeing the guy look round and it looks very very smooth - and I need to get that help while flying! Mine I guess is pretty old now - Trackir 3 with vector expansion. Can somebody take a snapshot of there settings as I cant really get a slow smooth response from it.....

uninstalled and reinstalled with admin rights... and patched with admin rights just to make sure... same problem.

I guess the original tracks from 1.0 are now corrupt after the patch ? Shepski now crashes in his demo !

yeah got the latest Nvidia drivers. Tried Shepski replay vid.... after watching.... same message DCS has stopped working... I click close and it goes back to main DCS screen... tried a training video and a mission as well.

yeah installed with admin rights and clean install (download version from direct 2 drive) Will check on video drivers.

must say after banging my head against the cockpit window.... finally sorted my G25 pedals as rudder controllers...... soooooo much better as I was finding my chopper doing the same thing... and the pesky HDG hold button on..... things are slowly coming together now. So yeah thumbs up for pedals or twisty stick.
