Ok after watching endless videos and reading etc... finally think I got the basics on flight.... so I download Vipers profile to my cougar ... downloads ok ... I test a few buttons and start to fly. Chopper goes crazy and wont trim.... hmmmm must be be.... so I goto key tester via foxy and pressing H3 button down and or with the shift button on the stick I get no response.... testing the buttons via the graphic gets a response from the button so its working ok.... but not hitting the trim etc when in game. Hence why I get no trim. Have reinstalled the viper profile and downloaded to stick a couple of times. Any ideas on this ? New to cougar stuff so cant program it.....(yet)

Hey people maybe you can help me out here. I've just bought black shark from direct 2 drive (for speed). Have installed game but not activated or started it. My replacement raptor drive has came today... I normally have 2 in raid 0. Anyways my vista os is currently on the 1 raptor. I have made a backup with Acronis disk image. If I put in the new drive and then copy over the image on to the new raid drives will I loose an activation if I play the game tonight on my current drives? The reason being I want to have a go on shark but not sure when ill get the time to put in the other raptor.

ok DHL got me the cougar today... just installed it etc ... will be back. First time Ive had my hands on one.... awesome stick... can see the GF dropping it on her foot while...`dusting the desk` .... may teach her to leave my toys alone :)

Hey thanks for the tips. Yeah ill head over there to cougar world before plugging it in. Hopefully it won't be a bad cougar. Will let you guys know what I think when I get it up and running.

time will tell.... grabbed the Cougar :) .... cost £90 delivered ... hopefully everything will be sweet...... black shark will be ordered in a couple of days. Anything I should do first with the couga? r.... will also head on over to frugalsworld as well for info when it arrives. thanks for the replies.

After a very very long time I hope to get back into flight sims.... havent played since Flaming Cliffs first came out... since then have sold my CH stuff.... but may have an option to buy a 2nd hand (in good condition) Thrustmaster Cougar...... is this great for Black Shark ... or too stiff a stick ??? I liked the CH stuff but the cougar is a decent price from a friend. Just checking out the videos and catching up on the sim !

True - but they are reference Nvidia boards.... so pretty much same as EVGA etc.... anyways the Bad Axe 2 is performing superbly well - all good here now :) Shame about the BS release date... but still perfection will come :)

just had time to install new bad axe 2 - although there was a problem installing XP to the raptors in raid - it froze after a while - I managed to get it installed on one of the other IDE drives.... all is working fine - just got the tedious task of installing software now..... so I guess the 680i was duff- that went back today.... may just keep this bad axe 2 instead anyways now.

thats what I was thinking - still a lot of people suggested getting a 680i - so I did. must admit Ive never had a bad board before and its a real pain having to pay to send it away .... then wait for another.... why should I have to pay to send back a faulty part ?! computer industry ey :) like you say hopefully the bad axe will be ok - seems pretty stable .... and Ill probably be happy with it - will build both and see what happens and then just sell on the other....

Ordered the Intel Bad Axe 2 - will see which is better when I get the BFG 680i back - bad axe should come on saturday.

fraid not ! motherboard is faulty so dont even boot - shame :(

hi fellas. Ive already got a `decent` PSU for new rig - enermax galaxy 850 watt - that should do the trick - maybe not for 2 8800 GTX`s - but im not planning on going SLI for a while yet... nothing needs it unless you go 30" monitor or something ;) as for the Dell - its my laptop I bought a while back - runs Lock On pretty well actually.... Just got an RMA number from BFG tonight for the motherboard - only problem is I send the faulty one to Wales (UK) and the replacement mobo is comeing from USA ! so not sure how long that will take ! am ordering another board to use in the mean time - then I will just keep the best one...after reading the stories about 680 mobos being not too clever at the mo. (think im going Intel Bad Axe 2) hopefully this will arrive saturday - one of the main things Im looking forward to besides running at a decent resolution is running fraps in the background - Surely I will be able to get good captures with good details..... Glowing watch out buddy ;)

BFG 680i SLI mobo Intel Quad Core QX6700 BFG 8800 GTX OC gfx 2gb Ram 2 Raptors In Raid Dell 2407 Monitor A keyboard and a mouse lol. After a good couple of hours putting it together - I have a frame rate of ....... 0 fps in fact I have nothing on screen.... in fact it dont even boot.... alas a duff motherboard ......£1500 of parts - excluding monitor and drives... do nothing... I can hear fans which is nice ;) to say im gutted is an understatement ! oh well - hopefully BFG will give me an RMA sometime this year ;) (they seem a little slow) looks like back to the Dell XPS 1710 for a while. sob sob.

hmm good info Jester - anybody use the Omegas for invidia regarding LO/Flaming Cliffs - never used these myself.

what temps does the card get @ idle and while running intense Lock on setup ?
