  1. Are there any Iranian skins for the AI F-14 that can be used on the Persian Gulf map? If so, where are they and how do you install them? I know Iran has F-14's available in the Mission Editor but they only come with U.S. skins. It doesn't feel right shooting them down in my Hornet let alone making it look better for the mission.
  2. I've set waypoints in ME as I would for the Hornet but the first leg from the airfield to waypoint 01 never shows on the onboard map. The rest of the route and waypoints show though. Is this an error or am I missing something? Sorry if this is in the wrong spot.
  3. Thanks guys, I was kind of thinking it must be done something like that but haven't had time to test it. One thing though, in the quick manual it says ROE green is hold and Yellow is free to fire. So is that just a mix up when you say get George to ROE Yellow?
  4. Can you please explain how you fired the Hellfire while George was lasing the target from the front seat... in Multiplayer. I would also like to be able to do that. I can get him to lase and fire on targets good enough. What is the last procedure you do so you can fire instead of him. Thanks.
  5. Can we use George as the pilot in Multiplayer so we can go to the front gunner seat to fire Hellfire missiles ? I know it can be done in single player but we can't seem to get it to work in multiplayer. If not, why not? I know it's good to go in pairs in multiplayer but sometimes it's good to have more the two Apache's on a mission. There are usually 4 of us that fly together and all being able to fly their own Apache would be great as well as pairing up from time to time.
  6. Thanks guys. I'm only working on the one file only in the Mosquito folder. I also kept an original copy as well. I didn't change the forward/back position. I just moved the R/L setting to the right a fraction to centre the target correctly, then lowered the Up/Down to bring the cross hair in the middle of the reflector sight. When you move back to the original pilot position the difference is hardly noticeable.
  7. Ok, thank you Max, I will look into this option also, some of the other guys did mention you can save a view, but we didn't know how.
  8. I meant swapping between crew seats but also in the Mosquito when you move from normal flight position of the pilot to behind the reticule/target position of the pilot. going back and forth in that view mainly. Also I use trackir, will that make a difference?
  9. Hi Max, is this just for VR or for normal viewing as well. (no VR) ? Also, does is save it permanently or do you have to reset it with each flight or every time you move seat position?
  10. Yes, trackir 5. But it's the same whether I have it turned on or not. A few other guys I fly with online have the same issue.
  11. Thanks for the replies guys. Art, I didn't change anything with the views but I have now. HotTom I didn't know about those keys so I tried it and it's a bit of mucking around and then when you leave and return to that position again you have to do it all over again. BUT I did however find the correct line to adjust in the View.Lua file. It was the "Cockpit Local point". I changed some of the values there and got it looking good. It works all the time now with very little change in the cockpit at all, Here's a new picture.
  12. Not sure if this is a bug or a problem but I thought here would be a good place to start. I can't find info about this elsewhere. When I move in behind the gun sight the reflector target is never in the middle. I always only have the bottom half showing and it's also slightly off centre. It's in the same position with trackir on or not and whether I zoom out or not. Picture attached. I've seen a video by Iain Christie on how to do bombing runs in the Mosquito and his sight looks perfect. I've also tried editing the eye point line ( EyePoint = {0.050, 0.100, 0.000}, ) in the Views.Lua file in the Mosquito folder. I was able to move the view forward and back, plus sideways but no matter the value changes I made for up and down, there was no change, which is the change that is needed. The first number group is forward/back, the last group was sideways, so it makes sense that the middle group of numbers would be up/down, but nothing changed. The only work around I can do is when trackir is on, at mission start I move behind target and then raise myself out of my seat, hit F12 to recentre my trackir view. Then I move back away from target and fly. Then when I need my target I move back behind it and it remembers my pre-set position. I wouldn't have thought I'd have to do this to get the correct view. Anyone have any ideas, is there a way of adjusting the eyepoint view up and down? Will this be fixed once the option the raise/lower the pilot seat becomes usable? Cheers, Carl.
  13. Thanks guy's, appreciate the answers. Tried what you said and set the sub to 50%. Mission start 1 it was a no show, mission start 2 it was there and then mission start 3 it was a no show again.
  14. I have done a good search for an answer but can't find anything yet. I'm wondering if it is to set the life percentage of an object being placed. In this case a Sub. Also, while I'm asking, what is the "Combat" button for as well? Thank you.
  15. Not sure if anyone is following this or not but I figured it out. I didn't realise I had to put "FARP ammo storage" and "FARP fuel depot" near each helipad. I could not rearm or refuel. Once I added both these to my mission for each helipad everything worked properly.
  16. I'm not sure if this will help you or not. But I recently built a Huey mission flying off single helipads but forgot to put "FARP ammo storage" and "FARP fuel depot" near each helipad. I could not rearm or refuel. Once I added both these to my mission for each helipad everything worked properly.
  17. Hi all, I have 6 single helipads lined in a row with a Huey on each. They are all set the same, I didn't change any settings on the helipads, they are stock as when you place them. Problem is though, helipads 1 & 2 won't respond to rearm/refuel requests but the other 4 do. It's weird. I have all six lined up next to one another so it looks like one long helipad, the banks of each overlap one another. I can't see that this would cause an issue when helipads 3-6 work fine. Any idea's please.
  18. I would like to hear from those who have either used the Mav-F's in real life or have experience in this field regarding the realism of using them compared to how they are used in this sim please. Before the recent updates of the Litening Pod, I know we could fly along and destroy 4 trucks with 4 Mav-F's one after the other all in a single pass. (I mean select, target and shoot, then immediately move to the next target and shoot again and so on 4 times, killing all 4 trucks in one pass.) Now with the more realistic updated targeting options with the Litening pod and how we are supposed to use it, there doesn't seem enough time to shoot more than one target per pass by the time you reacquire the next target and switch between DDI's to get the Mav to lock on again. By then you are almost to close. So my question is... In real life could you achieve more than one successful target hit in a single pass, which only gives you 7.5 miles ?
  19. Arrrr talk about a work out. Finally realised that with TrackIR on it was affecting not only my F7 key but my F9 key also.(Haven't used those keys much until now for comms purposes) I did a search on this forum and found that untrapping those keys in TrackIR settings outside the sim stopped the issue with the keyboard. I know we don't usually have trackIR on while using your keyboard outside your sim but while narrowing down the causes for my issue I found that when trackIR is on it did affect my keyboard when doing a keyboard test online. So it would seem to be solved yet again... I hope :) I'm sharing this for the sake of others who may still be learning their way around DCS.
  20. Thanks for the heads up on the mouse click, I may need that because it wasn't the keyboard after all. Swapping it to a new one worked ok for a bit then it started playing up again. So now I'm guessing a corrupt game file or something. Now I'm going to run the repair DCS world and see what happens.
  21. Turned out to be a faulty F7 key on my keyboard.
  22. Easy comms was on and it seems at this point to have been the problem. I'll be flying tonight and hope to find out. Thank you.
  23. I'm having issues communicating with the awacs I put in my mission. While sitting on the carrier and the radio is on I can chat via the radio/F7 and get answers. But after setting IFF, TCN, D/L I can't seem to communicate with them anymore. Even after take off F7 chat option is greyed out and non responding. I have set the awacs radio frequency to the same as the Hornet. Later in the mission they do tell us when enemy planes are around but we can't ask them for any info. I do have it set to invisible in the mission settings. Any idea's? Cheers, Aussie Pilot.
