  1. Does Slugmouse require your hands to be lit up well so your headset can see and interact with them?
  2. Why is more disk space (350gb) required for VR compared to 120gb for non-VR flying? Is it a typing mistake in the requirements section because none of the other maps have a different requirement between High graphic settings and VR graphic settings? Cheers, Aussie Pilot.
  3. If you look at the Afgan map requirements it only requires 120gb space, unless you go VR, then it requires 350gb. What's the reason why? Other maps use the same disk space whether it's in VR or not.
  4. Why is the required hard drive space for the Afghanistan map suggested at 350gb compared to 120gb without VR ? Other maps don't require more.
  5. Thank you.
  6. I have the quest 2, does it work any good once you get it working or are you better off using the mouse? Cheers, A.P.
  7. Hi Guy's, New to this and am still trying to understand this, but since 2.9 update is openXR always enabled for VR or do we need to edit an exe to force it to enable as I have read in some older posts? If I need to edit an exe, is it still the same as before? Cheers, A.P.
  8. Do we still need to force enable openXR in DCS now since 2.9 with an edited exe? This thread is a year old now and with 31 pages I don't have the time to wade through them all. I have a quest 2 VR headset. I'm kind of under the impression that DCS is running openXR all the time now and doesn't need enabling, but being new to all this, it gets a bit confusing. Cheers, A.P.
  9. Thanks guy's, I will look at these options.
  10. Still learning to set up VR with my Quest 2. Anyway. In normal seating position in any cockpit, it looks great, but it's hard to read a lot of the buttons and switches etc, especially in the Hornet and Apache. But if I lean right in, so you are almost right on the dash, it's all very clear and readable. Why is this, why can't they be read as easily from the normal seating position? I don't think this has anything to do with wearing glasses or graphic settings. Also, is there a way to turn of reflections in the Lua files anywhere? Apart from the Hornet you can't seem to turn them off. I have "Lens Effects" and "Cockpit global illumination" turned off in settings as well. Cheers, A.P.
  11. Hi, I'm just curious. Since swapping to VR recently I've noticed that the object labels seem so much bigger, the font is bigger and bolder. I don't always fly with them on but some of the people I fly with need them, but now they seem right in your face. Has anyone else noticed this? Can you reduce the font size in settings or a Lua file somewhere? Also, the HUD/Monocle in the Apache seems rather bigger in VR than normal pc screen, a little bolder as well. Any ideas? The F/A 18 isn't too bad, it still fits in its HUD. Still learning to set this up. Cheers, Aussie Pilot.
  12. I'm still new to this but something I read is that on the VR Tab in setting you can change the value of "Force IPD Distance". I think the default value is 63.5 but if you make it bigger the cockpit gets smaller around you, and if you go smaller it's bigger. (or the other way around lol.) But it affects all cockpits. Check your settings, you can also do it while sitting in the cockpit.
  13. Wow guys. Thanks for the fast and helpful responses, much appreciated.
  14. I recently got the Quest 2 and am making my way through setting up. Not to bad so far. My system: AMD Ryzen 7 2700 8 Core 3.2ghz. 16gb Ram MSI GeForce RTX 2070 8GB I know it's not top end but it's a start. 1) Anyway, I've read bumping up to 32 gigs of RAM may be necessary but where will it help? Does it help stop shimmering, will it increase frame rates or make the graphics better or just the general smoothness the game runs at? 2) What's the go with Hand Tracking. I enabled the hand tracking in the VR tab in settings and ended up with game crashes for ages until we found I had to change a setting in the Options.lua to get it back to normal. I've heard that since 2.9 hand tracking doesn't work for Quest 2 at present. I do use the cable link to my pc with 5gbps speed. 3) Is there a way you can test the speed of your link cable? 4) Should I be using that OpenXR Runtime? Not that I know how too, would it make any difference? Thanks for your help, I have searched a lot for answers, but they don't always cover what I need to know. Cheers, Aussie Pilot.
  15. Thanks MAXsenna, that worked for me.
  16. I found this also, but still programmed the button. Turns out, it works the command ok, it does switch between IR or TV each time you press your programmed key, but in cockpit its animation doesn't show, it just stays depressed. It won't pop up and down each time unless you use the mouse, as you said.
  17. Thanks, MAXsenna, that may be a little beyond my pc skill's, lol. I've got another one for you though. This year I updated all my flight controllers to Winwing products, including a proper collective, hence the reprogramming. Now I have heaps of buttons etc to programme. Anyway, I can't find the key binding for the M variants "VCB IR Power Selector". I can programme everything else for it but not that switch that does work when mouse clicking it. The only binding that looks like it should be is "SA342 Vivianne Power 2 Pos". I've programmed it to my button option, but it doesn't work in cockpit. I know it's simple enough to click with the mouse, but I was really hoping to use my new controller for as much as possible. Again, I've googled for an answer, with no luck. Thought I'd ask you before starting a new thread about it, or a bug note. Cheers, appreciate your help.
  18. Thanks MAXsenna. How would you create a new key binding for this if there isn't one in the list? I've had a bit of a google about it but didn't find anything useful.
  19. Is there a key binding for the EFB Tablet? I can't find one anywhere and I've searched online also. I know you can use the mouse to click on it to hide and show it, but I was hoping to bind it to a joystick or throttle quadrant button or switch. Cheers, Aussie Pilot.
  20. I had a look for you Devrim. I removed your mod and took screen shots with the Air -Air selected and the trigger up and down.
  21. Good question. So, I uninstalled the mod and the behaviour was the same. Both Rockets and Vikhr info disappeared when selecting the cannon, but the Air-Air info stayed there, but with the correct Russian text. May be there is something in that then.
  22. I just tired what you said about resetting the weapon system, but it made no difference. Well, not for me anyway. I also edited my last post after finding this: - I've also just noticed if you activate the cannon trigger (Key C) while rockets or Vikhr's are selected, their stores information disappears altogether from the Weapon Control Panel, unlike the Air -Air missiles, then reappears when you close the trigger down. Again, I'm not sure if there is anything in that, but it may help.
  23. Hey Devrim. Firstly, thank you for this MOD, it's great. I also want to share what I noticed after installing it regarding the Air-Air missile selection and the incorrect name showing in the Weapon Control Panel. The bit you say may be a bug, saying in AM instead of AA. Hopefully my pictures attached will help. I think it has something to do with trigger selection. When you have AA missiles selected and the large weapon trigger down in place and active, you get the error show in the weapon control panel. BUT, if you select the cannon trigger, which means lifting the large weapon trigger (key C) you'll see the correct AA name appear on the weapon control panel. Weird I know, but there may be something in that you can work with. EDIT: I've also just noticed if you activate the cannon trigger (Key C) while rockets or Vikhr's are selected, their stores information disappears altogether from the Weapon Control Panel, unlike the Air -Air missiles, then reappears when you close the trigger down. Again, I'm not sure if there is anything in that, but it may help. Hope this helps. Cheers, Aussie Pilot.
  24. Hey @SUNTSAG this V1 mod is pretty cool, thank you. Just one question though, is there a way to set it to fly higher than 200ft on its route to target?
  25. Hi Guy's, it turns out that the A-4E does have a raise and lower seat switch. It's on the right side console down past the radio settings. I programmed it to buttons and now I can raise and lower my seat as needed. Perfect for lowering it to see through the reticule better, which was what my original post was about, but also to raise it higher for Carrier landings. It works a treat without having to change any POV settings.
