  1. I guess nobody cares about the ridiculous G-tolerance in the Viper now? ED has mentioned before that they will fix the low G-tolerance in the Viper to allow us to sustain 9G turns as real Viper pilots do (I heard they can sustain 9Gs for at least 15 seconds). IDK if this is a feature/fix that is very difficult to add in the game. No news or development update on this so far... IMO if you can turn off the G effect in the game right now, why not just disable the laughable G effect in the Viper? It is kind of difficult to dogfight in the Viper now since you cannot max perform the aircraft/pilot. Also, Viper sucks at one circle fight compares to the Hornet so flying slow is not really an option. I hope ED can fix this issue soon. Thanks!

  3. Also, in the current state, if you climb above 40000 ft your aim-120 has around 60 miles of maximum range. Do not trust the dynamic launch zone on the HUD, it is still WIP and is not accurate. Check out this video by Growling Sidewinder
  4. Nice!
  5. Will there be an update this week?
  6. SAM mode launch won't give your enemy a launch warning, same for TWS. However, when in SAM mode, your radar will not adjust its elevation based on the target altitude, therefore, it is easier to lose lock when the target is dropping or increasing altitude (or the target gets too close it and goes below or above your radar elevation, which was set before you lock your target). In contrast, in TWS mode while it won't give your enemy a launch warning, TWS will also adjust your radar elevation automatically to maintain a lock. Thus, TWS mode does not drop lock as easily as SAM mode does. However, since TWS scan and lock takes longer than RWS, when you are in a hurry try to use RWS to lock your target and engage your target in SAM mode (not STT because they will receive a launch warning). I learned all these from doing BVR in the Viper. Obviously, all the radar modes are WIP or not perfected at the moment. So in the future this might change.
  7. I hope they fix this in the next update. I don't care about the new stuff, just fix datalink pls ED. The datalink has been wrong for way too long. Also, "internally fixed" means nothing since we cannot access your "internally fixed" version anyway. If you can fix it, why not patch it? Or just don't say you fixed it...
  8. Well patch just released on Steam today! Thank you ED :)
  9. And if ED developers are taking extra time this weekend to fix the bugs. Thank you!
  10. Yeah I have faith in Eagle Dynamics. I'm sure they will release a new update on Steam that has already fixed the bugs of the current 2.5.6 release. Maybe that is why it's taking a bit long right now. I'm glad they rolled back the Steam version to 2.5.5 so we can play at least. For some reason the 2.5.6 update on Steam that took place few days ago made the game unplayable (DCS.exe just kept crashing when I launch the game). Yes, let's keep patient and hope ED fix the bugs soon.
  11. May I ask approximately how long it will take to fix the issue with Steam versions? Days? Weeks? It's frustrating watching other players enjoying 2.5.6 while us steam players can't.
