Hi Skatezilla, thank you again for your amazing work. This utility has been a ripper. I was wondering if you can give a guide to what we will need to do when the Open Beta and Release versioning changes to one option only. Personally I can see I for one will save a ton of space, lol. but merging saves, mod directories etc does look a little daunting. Do you think it will be simpler to blow it all away and start afresh?

Hello, My preferred way of using DCS is in VR. Yes this adds levels of complexity, but after using VR I cannot play DCS on a screen. I fly (poorly) with an X56 Hotas and VoiceAttack, using a Quest 2 VR headset. I would love some advice or training from experienced VR pilots, tips or tricks to learn to control the plane and its systems in a very different environment. I feel i 'have all the gear and no idea', a few too many modules and terrain for my ability, lol. So, please say hi if you are in the same boat or are able to spend some time teaching a bloke from Australia.

Hi, please note that I am not a coder, so the impact or scope of what I ask is totally unknown to me. Have you considered integrating a mod manager into your utility? I love your current utility, but like so many i am now in the morass that is VR optimisation and the head scratching information that goes along with it. This along side of finding that there are Naval mods has quietly blown my mind and has me stuck in analysis paralysis. EG I sat down 4 hours ago to have a practice flight after getting some tips from YouTube. Not only have I not had a flight but the first video I watched again launched me off into a thousand other directions, lol.

What do the four rendering options do? Is a lower resolution setting for the mirror likely to improve vr fps? What is their impact on performance? -Rectilinear Both Eyes (Both Eyes With Out Distortion) -Post Distortion (Both Eyes With Distortion) -Left Eye Only (Left Eye Only) -Right Eye Only (Right Eye Only) Thanks again.

G'day mate, I picked up a quest 2 about 8 weeks ago. Great headset and DCS is amazing on it. I have a lower spec than you except for the GPU (I5 4690, 16gb RAM running a 5700 xt) and its more than playable with some acceptance of slightly softened settings. Take some time to watch some vids and realise you have to have memorised your HOTAS and you will love it. Loved the 'when did it get dark comment' I had this happen the other day, took the headset off and I was in a dark room. Walked into the lounge and my wife laughed saying she'd walked past five minutes earlier 'I have no idea what you were doing, but it looked hilarious in a dark room'.

does moving from Standard to Ultra have much of an overhead in performance in VR?

I am new to VR and still learning. The problem you've mentioned is annoying. So far the only usable thing i've found to assist is VR zoom.
