  1. The ventrals were also used in the german Air Force and Navy. The tips were a lot more common in the air force, though.
  2. Outboard pylon Sidewinders for the CG - maybe only available by country "Greece" for the CE and make it a mission builder checkmark, so people don't get overly carried away and the realism police is going crazy... Maybe it could be used as a mutually exclusive replacement for the R530/ S530, when using above mentioned checkmark. Could be implemented by the workaround of radar missile buttons activate outboard wing station sidewinders instead. Rapid Gun IIRC didn't activate the Sidewinders in the greek jets, but since one can bind any button on any HOTAS control, we're splitting hairs at this point - might as well just activate them through Rapid Gun then... This would make a lot of people happy. Not just me
  3. Right now, the area looks like this: General vicinity. Looking north-south at roundabout the position of the photos above, showing the northern runway threshold. Looking south-north - somewhat similar to the position of the very first picture, but at a higher angle. I think building the roadbase could generally be feasible and it would be cool and quirky. What do you guys think?
  4. Do you guys see a way to create an "official" road airfield in the city of Halat, based on the historical one (abandonned in the early 90s)? nullNote the Falcon 50 parked next to the Aeronavale Etendard IVP (16F, Aircraft no. 117) that landed on this road airfield in November 1983.
  5. The SAAF skins are still not available with the F1CE.
  6. Thanks for the fixes and new features guys! The new C+M switch logic will be interesting. Especially figuring out the difference between 0.3 and 0.8 seconds in the heat of the moment
  7. F-5As did have LERX - they were just considerably smaller. F-5A also did have LEFs.
  8. By which time the border (close to the upper right corner in the screenshot) wasn't a thing anymore. Photograph is from 1999. Compare the (former) border to how it looks like in the screenshot. You can also see the difference in housing. https://www.luftbildsuche.de/info/luftbilder/das-gelaendes-flughafen-berlin-schoenefeld-schoenefeld-land-brandenburg-196493.html This is what the border looks like today. Location of this pic is within the pic linked above:
  9. There's an inaccuracy in this screenshot - the developed part on the right hand edge of the screen (aft of the Fulcrum that's peeling off) hasn't been there at the time that screenshot's supposed to have happened (let's say prior to the mid 90s). It was developed much later. How do I know? Well, I literally lived just right off the edge of the screenshot. The multistory housing real estate seen in that place on the screenshot was just built within the last 6 years or so. The pic below was taken in 2012, when development in that area was just about starting - the house where I lived wasn't even built by then. You can see the municipality building already in place, though. You can also clearly see the former northern runway had been re-naturalized and the A113 had been built in it's way to connect south with Berliner Ring A10 at Schönefelder Kreuz (Schönefeld Intersection). The former southern runway is now BER's northern runway. The East German Schönefeld Airport Terminal (used to be Terminal 5 at BER) is now abandonned. 10. Awesome, thank you for the update!
  11. Already reported by yours truly. It's the refuelling light. I haven't observed the search light to be an issue so far.
  12. Hey @Fearsome-13 hope you're reading this. I know you did the awesome polishing-up of the standard SAAF skins way back, after the release of the F1. Do you think you can adjust them for the new models and maybe put in "numbered" #203 and #213 in the colours of when they scored their 1.5 kills? Also, on a tangent, do you think you could do an experimental and fictional "Heater" scheme as seen on the F-4S? null
  13. I had this issue twice now, after dropping all bombs from the AUF2. Aircraft rolls to the right at low level and high speed AFTER dropping bombs. Both, CE and EE have the problem. Becomes significant (read noticeable) at roughly 300KIAS and gets worse the faster you go from there.
  14. Hi guys, with the latest update, the refuelling light constantly throws a cone of light, though the rheo is off and the switch is "off" and the guard is in place. The light is stowed (hence the cone is directed 90° to the right). The light itself is off.
  15. Hey Aerges, the new skins are looking amazing! There are some skins missing for the playable versions, though. Notably both F1CZ skins and a couple of F1CR and CT skins. I have just tested the CE with "Combined Task Force BLUE" so far. Also, is there a way to make the drop tanks aluminium-colored, like they were with some air forces? Greece and South Africa do come to mind: vs Thanks guys and keep up the great work!
  16. I wasn't referencing you in particular. I'm seeing lots of people wanting fancy guided ammo, though, and CW aircraft at the same time. That mixture doesn't work that well, though. Most of the steamgauge-punk jets is bombing tables and Kentucky windage. Yes, the ARMAT is guided (as is the AS.30L), but you'll have few LGBs, TV/IR guided missiles or even the magic-squared GPS stuff. The ARMAT comes with exciting opposition (SAMs) and the AS.30L has a relatively short effective range. Still, those weapons weren't used primarily in theater - mostly rockets, 30mm or dumb bombs did the job. ARMATs were used against Ouadi Doum. I don't think the Bucc ever got the ARMAT, which was a highly specialized french developmet of the initial MARTEL.
  17. A Jag Gr.1 is essentially closing the gap between the Harrier Gr3 and the Tornado. Think of it as a single seat Tornado without a radar, but with afterburning hairdryers. Mission-wise it's quite interesting and I personally don't get the fixiation on guided munitions for 70s aircraft. That was just a sub-set of strike or attack missions. I'm personally more interested in the french Jag, as it also had the SEAD mission with the ARMAT and it saw quite a bit more action - in Africa. African maps is also what I'm much more interested in, but I guess that's just me and everybody else wants to pretend the Cold War gone hot (TM) would stay conventional for more than two hours.
  18. I think Streak Eagle's servers might be a place to look for the Bronco.
  19. War crimes in 3...2...1 That'll be a nice companion to the Kiowa (too bad the Gazelle doesn't have a fictional "hand held laser") and some expeditionary missions. Thanks @fausete and the entire AERGES team for your continued support and making the airplane even awesomerer
  20. Will the racks be available on the inboard wing stations and the fuselage?
  21. It's actually a CR fairing. CT fairings also exist and yes, they're controlled via the skin. There are also other arguments controlled by the skin, like the dorsal fairing at the root of the vertical stabilizer and the raised nav lights on the wingtips.
  22. Same! Thankfully, there's the Loach to have fun with in the meantime...
  23. That's not what I meant. What I meant was that by the end of the war, the A-4M was coming online and stayed in the Corps through to the early eighies, when it in turn was replaced by the AV-8B. Not for the A-7E, though. The earliest Westpac with the A-7E that I can find was in 1970.
  24. Low and slow, the last thing I'd want in a high wingloaded aircraft with such a thin wing profile is taking away the slats. It's just a game'ism for when you can't die for real.
  25. Probably not. Unload to 0.5g, which should put you below slat retraction AoA.
