  1. He's meaning the F-14A-GR-135 "Early" that's still somewhere out there. Just like the AI J35.
  2. Not gonna buy two maps for the second time. That MB-339, tho!
  3. Nah, thanks. I'd rather have one based on the E with more capability. The C(J)is fun for playing in the sand and sun. But without disdain I'd also like to dance in cloud and rain.
  4. Throw a flame it does! Nah, it's an optional, additional rocket motor (hypergolics are fun!) for more performance at high altitude. It's housed in the rear, lower fuselage and it's tank is situated in the gun bay. The lil Mirage has lots of options in terms of fun with rockets and gas (JL100, anyone?). You could also use the rear bay for gas. Same applies for the fwd bay, when you don't carry guns or the rocket motor. AFAIK this configuration was used by the nuke-carriers of 4 Escadre (1/ Dauphiné and 2/4 Lafayette), even thoughthis was probably just applied to alert-aircraft.
  5. For some unconcievable reason, people keep mis-spelling Jaguar. J-A-G-U-A-R Or are they trying to write Mirage IIIE?
  6. ERM@GHERD, MUH SKILLZ! I can tank without momma's little helper, but I don't see the neccessity for being a proverbial lil Richard about it. If you don't like the proposed feature, switch it off and let others enjoy the benefits of a greater accessibility to more realistic'ish missions for people with less time sunk in the game. It's a friggin game. Relax.
  7. Negative. Shaguar. Plus, the Shag can nuke you, too. Tanking from a Transall. Probably above Chad.
  8. That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for the backseater...
  9. That's good news! Much appreciated, thanks Chicho!
  10. Early morning hours in N'Djamena.
  11. I know what it's supposed to do. It doesn't shed any light on the other aircraft, though: I tried to "swipe" the light across the C-130 by rolling a bit (to see if there's a brighter patch or spot travelling over it), but it doesn't seem to work. Does anybody else get better results?
  12. I know how to turn it on and off. I just haven't managed to make any use of it. I'm wondering if other people have. Might as well be a limitation of the DCS lighting-system.
  13. I do realize that, however: - the G can do everything the C can do (but better), except for the bolt-on refuelling probe - the A can't do much at all (except for the 319FIS -19 motor conversions, which would be awesome to have) Then there's the elephant in the room, which is the missing Vietnam map
  14. If somebody will do the 104, they'll need to do the F-104G (AG and naval sub-versions) TF-104G (because it's cool and duals are fun) F-104S (and possibly the ASA uprade) If they're smart, they'll start with the TF/F-104G in one package and sell the F-104S and F-104S-ASA as another package. If they're really smart, they'll include the naval G (Kormoran missiles and AS 30 missiles) in the 104S package, as the later german naval versions all had the -J1K motor (long nozzle) and had the post '68 Martin Baker seat mod. That way, you'd get a good deal of coverage of sub-variants.
  15. That's why the CR and CT could carrythe dispensers in their armpits: https://www.airliners.net/photo/France-Air-Force/Dassault-Mirage-F1CT/1305896/L Dayum, I'd love to have those dual bomb-racks!
  16. There is a ground-attack version of the S, just like the G branches off into AA and AG (and naval) subversions. The AG S cannot carry/ shoot the Aspide/ Sparrow. See those racks below the intakes? They're new on the S.* Note the AIM-9 on the outboard (also new on the S) wing-pylons. The AA S subvariant doesn't have a gun, as that space is taken up by the computers required for guiding the Sparrow. _____________________________ * They're not related to the catamaran-racks of the G: http://www.916-starfighter.de/Large/Stars/wNFN-E.htm
  17. You can pretend to be an A by just hanging Sidewinders on it. As a bonus, the -19 motor is going to improve T/W over the G, making it feelmore like an A. And you get the additional fins to make you go a little faster legally. The G already has a much better radar than the A, plus INS. You may just as well use the S. Additionally the S has more hardpoins (A-A or A-G) than the G.
  18. Does the police light actually do anything besides going on and off? I realize DCS' light simulation is far from being optimal, but so far I haven't been able to illuminate, much less "ID" any other aircraft with it at night.
  19. Just like the G, the S has sub-variants that branch off into air-defense or ground-attack.
  20. Do we know if the F1M can carry bombs on a twin-carrier, like the F1CR and CT?
  21. It's actually a french Mirage F1B But it should be very similar to the BE anyway, just as the CE and C are almost identical.
  23. You'll love them! There's nothing like being a j@ckass in an M2k on a random online server, doing an unapproved low airshow over the own airfield and going vertical (well, tryna) at two-digit airspeeds
