  1. nah...just peeved no one watched druggy spiders. "the marijuana spider didnt build a web...it built a hammoc, and watched the caffeine spider make one."
  2. leds light up on post as a sort of diagnostic. if it stays lit while your doing nothing in windows, its possible your comp has spyware/malware.
  3. make sure that the 12v rails and the pci-e connectors can supply at least 25a. dont remember what their called...and its not just a question of compatibility, its whether or not its built or upgraded properly. wrong cable to the card, not enough power to the board, a pin arcing somewhere via a short, misplaced hardware...all is easy to do even from professionals.
  4. ahh the sentimental lady. i see her every year. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v389/utley27/?action=view&current=083107_13111.jpg
  5. nobody even mentioned the legend. ill own this some day...
  6. any chance you can o/c? does your power supply have enough juice? you should have a minimum of 600w for that gpu and processor. is your pc custom made or name brand? yeah i ask lotta questions. i am such a dork. :|
  7. 4 sticks of 2gb's? or 2 sticks of 4gb's?if its the first, then its not memory...if its the latter it could be either a module in the wrong dimm slot or a high latency ram. high storage ram isnt as fast as lower capacity ram. to see if your memory is in the right slot, dimm slots 1 and 3 should be occupied.
  8. its "possible" its your processor...i had fps like you have on my old laptops. my old asus g2p had an intel t7600 dual core and an ati 2650 mobile gpu. but they all ran on vista... xp never had dual core support, and they always ran faster on vista and w7. why its not the case for you is beyond me. forgive me for asking if you already said, but are you using an x86 or x64 o/s? you should double check bios and see if your running in dual channel mode and make sure your memory sticks are in the right slot for it.
  9. have you even tried killing unnecessary programs?
  10. and what fov am i missing out on then? my tv is wide enough to use with tir4, i can see everything you can, and higher res isnt needed above 1600x1080 unless you have eagle eyes. so what if you have a monitor wrapped around your desk, big deal. your not going to miss anything either way. hey, if you want 3 monitors and you dont want to use a large tv then go nuts. just remember that my tv has a much larger viewing surface and works just as well. if i want to bust more balls, i can always go with another 62" hdtv, but im no douche bag.
  11. joystick drivers arent going to cause drastic fps issues, especially on a med-high end computer. xp and lomac go well toghether, but i always played on vista. i always had good fps in vista but sound was always messed up.
  12. look in your taskmanager and look at what program(s) are eating the most cpu cycles and memory and start killing non essential programs. you can and should google a list of services you should turn off. its windows useless programs that make stuff run sluggish. another thing you may try is basic registry cleaning, disc optimization, and computer stuff. give tune up utilities a 30 day trial and fix your thing. tuneup utilities is the best thing to happen to computers since internet pr0n.
  13. clinton had the most prosperous years. he was too busy sending jobs to india and china while killing jobs here in america...closing military bases and whatnot with nafta.
  14. my tv has 1920x1080 resolution and the fov is just like looking out of a heli. btw your talking to the only person here who HAS spent close to $10k on computers in the last 3 years. what do you think?did i mention my tv is bigger?
  15. i perfer my hdtv over 3 monitors, my view isnt restricted any more than it already is. whats so great about 3 monitors? nothing my 62"hdtv doesnt solve.
  16. i dont vote, and im not either republican or democrat. describe to me how my mo is democratic, i would really like to know. heres a helpful hint to the clueless (such as yourself)...when you watch the news, just remember to listen who properly addresses the president by his title, not by his christian name. would you also like me to write it out with crayons? btw...berating and insulting is something republicans do. democrats cry and wine and defend themselves (somewhat like what your doing now). neither party should ever be elected.
  17. you are no longer allowed to post here........EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on behalf of forums.eagle. ru and the entir forum, your fired. give me all your rep, pack your sh1t and get the f$%k out. NOW!!! lol
  18. as far as evidence goes, i just gave you plenty to research. dont like google, there is always yahoo...although yahoo is left wing too, at least their search engine isnt biased. i dont apologise to idiots for being idiots. its not MY fault you cant wipe yourself.
  19. try running it on multiple cores if you can. i always did this and didnt have any problems. even though its designed for 1 core, it will use both to lighten the work load and keep both cores cooler. give it a shot, couldnt hurt. w7 and vista work well with multiple cores while xp didnt.
  20. its not his ass im protecting...you made yourself out to be an idiot, and THATS pretty cute.
  21. what resolution are you running at? these gfx cards are designed to run at least 1440x900 @ 8x af and 16x antialiasing. anything below those specs actually make it run slower. i didnt know you were referring to lomac, those average fps numbers would top out around 30 - 55...the lowest being over a large city with tons of units, and the highest being over country terrain. ive never had over 32 fps over simferopol...even on 6gb ddr3 ram, i7 920 o/c to 4ghz, gtx 260 o/c, and whatever. you can just admit defeat over this, its pretty pointless to get more out of it. on a good note youll have no problems running anything else!!! on a side note distiller is right about the drivers. windows uses generic drivers...it would behoove you to use the right drivers. nvidia makes excellent drivers, just make sure you get the right drivers. dont worry about firmware or bios updates. you wont regret it if you do get the right drivers, as these fix issues and bugs too, as well as increase performance.
  22. do what im going to do....62" hdtv.
  23. not a bad idea, but it would require constant attention from the mods, and i dont know any mods here willing to work..........................
  24. possibly because he has no interest in this thread or you.
