  1. and this is why metallica sucks...badly.
  2. now your taking what i said out of context. does your web browser filter out the word 'legacy'? ive said it a couple times...yes our engineers develop good aircraft. BUT...its like saying the us invented the v2 rocket, even though the technology is german. case in point Wernher von Braun. please tell me you catch my drift now...
  3. i just thought of that, but still they should do away with the need for lomac. what vvanks is looking for is not the original cd, but simplicity. he is looking for everything in one neat tidy package, and thats what it all boils down to. why need lomac if everything except the legacy models is new? hell...some of these items are from flanker 2.0!
  4. i never said ubi didnt want bs, or in fact had anything to do with bs. what i am getting at is ubi owns lomac and authorised 2 addons to lomac. fc is one, and ubi owns those rights. fc 2.0 is a continuation of lomac, which is still owned by ubisoft. the technology belongs to ed and tfc, i know and have known this, lomac and all addons are owned by ubisoft. i know ubisoft doesn't own tfcse. to put an end to this thread, the very thing vvanks is asking here is this: why is ed still trying to update lomac if they dont own the rights to, and instead just release fc 2.0 as a stand alone product, and do away with any obligations to ubisoft?
  5. i am thinking and i also know its an upgraded version of an ubisoft product. i understand they plan this out accordingly. what i am saying (and what everyone is ignoring) is that we have had this happen before! and like i stated is that ill believe it when i see it. it wont prevent me from buying it regardless. compatibility or not, the name and series, flaming cliffs is intellectually owned by ubisoft. is it not?
  6. not at all. but just remember that bs was originally an upgrade for fc. you make them compatible you have a small conflict of interest. ubi will want a piece of the pie from bs should it become an addon. hence the concern.
  7. i know its a moot point, i dunno why i keep arguing over it..but your not seeing what im trying to say. nicola tesla invented radio. hes serbian iirc, but an american immigrant. einstein was european, his theory of relativity is american because he finished it here and patented it here. just because its invented here doesn't make it an american invention. to me, respect goes where respect should. ergo, russian helicopter!
  8. legal issues? that is what this thread is about...i KNOW they all run on tfcse engine...
  9. its still technically an upgrade of fc. if it wasn't it wouldn't be named 2.0, but something else. if it does indeed become reality and bs & fc become compatible, kudos to ed. i still dont see it really happening, ill believe it when i see it...doesnt mean i wont buy it regardless.
  10. im well aware of this feature. remember bs was originally an addon to fc, see where that went?
  11. ubisoft allowed ed 2 upgrades to lomac, which includes fc. fc 2.0 is just an update with only terrain and a 6dof'ish pits and a few fixes thrown in. i doubt bs and fc compatibility will ever see daylight.
  12. where did you get a propeller blade?
  13. these are just my opinions. true today, toyotas manufactured in the us by americans for americans is still a japanese company.
  14. looks like a foxbat or foxhound.
  15. im sure one will go to the smithsonian. the others would go to the houston space center and other highly visited museums.
  16. a company started by and run by russians is a russian company regardless. ukrainian, technically a soviet...just made in usa. nowadays though it is american ran. technically still a russian company just because of their roots.
  17. well considering thar the president is going to be flying in augusta weiland choppers, i would beg to differ. remember sikorsky is technically a russian company as well, thats an unfair assessment.
  18. just sent a friend request under kevin utley..
  19. from what ive heard, they've been having alot of issues with their vendors; ie a conflict of interest. like trying to get cheaper components made in low wage countries like china, and along with that a high amount of poor quality craftsmanship. basically, it keeps breaking down.
  20. im not talking about us, im talking world wide. we got orders for additional J models from foreign contracts due to airbus' failure to field the a400m. these arent small numbers, were talking an additional 200 units. we have back orders through 2015.
  21. and because of that were getting all kinds of orders for C-130J models.
  22. hate to say it but it wont happen...its so over priced and late, were getting tons of orders because airbus cant even get the A400M off the ground yet. we dont even think theyll have a flyable prototype for another 2 years at least.
  23. if he goes i7 hell have to upgrade everything.
  24. oh yeah, if you can get it that cheap, have at it. if thats the cousin to q6600, itll be even more badass. the q6600 is a great chip, the q9xx series are even better.
