  1. HeHe, I know I know, I will scale it down.:D
  2. Please give some Opinion if you want to.
  3. I know there are some real fighter pilots here. I am curious to know what are the usual rules of engagement, in US or in general. We often heard something like "do not fire until fired upon" in Hollywood, is this true? I think this is pretty risky since being shot at in the first place is already close to getting killed.
  4. I have seen info on F-15E stick by Suncom here and there, but I cannot seem to google the company Suncom which produces relevant products. Is it bankrupt or something? The F-15E stick I saw looks great, I wonder if it is something like the Cougar, or is it more like CH. P.S. And where can I buy the stick and the split throttle? I want to check their price range, to see if it is cheaper than CH stuff.
  5. http://www.freelook.org This is a little program that allow you to use a regular webcam as trackir, though it only supports mouselook. But it seems that there is no progress for a year, and the forum is pretty dead. Anyone knows? I've been using it occasionally, though it's not that accurate in its current stage, it sure worth trying if you are not going to buy trackir, and have webcam lying around.
  6. Hmm, I am very interested. Can it be DIY or does it involve complicated geeks tech?
  7. Damn good TekaTeka!!!! You should have done this when LOMAC first came out!!! Nicely done!!! HOw did you fix the Russie Headrest problem anyway? Just curious.
  8. I google and found something like they register vibration of the throat directly, so can eliminate backgroud noise. Is it simply placing a mic near the throat?
  9. Whiskey, Sooooo many thanks to you. It appears that I have removed the hyperlink, though I am not sure what it have actually done.. Will certainly check out the spyware utility.
  10. http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=24&k=flight%20simulator http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=24&k=air%20force I right click on those links and copy the URL here, they all link to this "serverlogic". GGTharos, Thanks, but I don't think these are site features, since they appear on all sites. And I really can't remember changing any IE settings manually...but I am not sure about this. Will try looking into IE.
  11. I've seen this problem for about a week (see the attached screen) It will highlight some words, and link it to all sort of web sites a few example: flight simulator --it will link to ebay... air force --- link to the US airforce site door --- again, it links to ebay.... Although it didn't cause much inconvenience, I feel very unsecure to have such things on my PC. I doubt it comes from a Registry cleaner called "Tune up" or something. I occasionally have their pop-ups ever since I downloed the trial version (of course I deleted it). Any help is appreciated.
  12. http://www.saunalahti.fi/~fta/MiG-29-3b.htm It has some nice explanation on the few panels on MiG-29A, and I've checked some of them with the English cockpit in LOMAC. Although with some discrepencies, I think this is interesting enough to some of you. Actually I have found this site long ago, but never bothered to read through all the pages.
  13. My apology to ED Just flied the MiG in the modded 1.1 demo, and found that actually the grid mode has been implemented in this way. My apology to ED, should have tried this before I posted this request. Nice job ED!
  14. Sorry for bumping this old thread, but after a long research, I still can't find a way to not using UDP socket, how can you interface with the Lua export directly? Even if I can send it to a UDP port, I can't find an existing program to exchange the data with a serial port. Wtriting the program from scrap is pain.
  15. Actualy I read in the downloaded manual that Setka grid mode wouldn't change the flight computer, it's only the display on the HUD. And because the switch is located under the HUD, departed from all other armament control switches, this is why I made my guess. Maybe I shouldn't have titled this thread a request, I just want to bring some discussion. :D Thanks anyway.
  16. This is my best guess on how grid mode should work. The setka switch just under the HUD would change your HUD display to the grid mode markings, and if you switch it back to the day/night position, the HUD should go back to what your flight mode previously was (i.e.A2G, BVR, NAV...etc.). Can I request this feature (in whatever the next project of ED is)? So pressing the "8" key will toggle the grid mode on/off.
  17. Even better if we can see shockwave develop when you fly supersonic over water. :D
  18. TekaTeka, Can you tell me what graphics settings you are using? I tried your values but cannot get what appeared on your screenshots. I have to use {100,255,160) to get a similar result. Is this somehow related to the monitor color setting?
  19. Can Natural Point ship it to Asia? And will there be something like US & UK version?
  20. You mean you have a translated manual?!! Where where??!! I do have a russian MiG-29 manual in PDF format downloaded from....I forgot where. A Total of 149 pages, written in Russian. It seems to come from ages ago, the paper has gone yellow, with letters from a typing machine and hand drawn figures...Let me know if you are interested. But I would prefer to have a Su-27 or Su-33 manual since I am working on them instead.
  21. Though I haven't got v1.1 at hand, I read the new LUA script here http://lockon.ru/index.php?end_pos=567&scr=default&lang=en So I can only export what it allow me to? Let's say I want to export the weapon that I currently choose, so it can be used to drive those indicator lights under the HUD. But the script doesn't seems to provide this data, does that mean I have to wait for ED to provide this option? Oh, and where are those smilies? I can only add them to the title bar. :D
  22. Thanks, though I don't fully understand all these. But I agree that LOMAC only gives toggle commands, which made pit building a problem. BTW, I and my friend are thinking about exporting the data to the game computer itself, then through the printer port (parallel port) to a programmed FPGA (not sure what it can do, only my friend does, some kind of logical chips), which in turn drives whatever we want to. Is this a clumsy method? EDIT: We are looking at this option because it seems to be a lot cheaper than buying commercial cards. Same for making switches, I know there are something like EPIC card, or keboard emulator, but they cost a ton. Are there cheaper options out there?
  23. There are two things that I want to do. First is to export and write flight data into a text file. Then I want to see how I can export the data to control a stepping motor, or simply a LCD display. Any ideas? Can working gauges be made this way?
