  2. What screen will the t-pod be available on (DDis or the colour screen or any) Any thoughts on when likely to be available - are we talking 6months away or a bit sooner? Interested to know where it is in the development list
  3. Why does the radar cursor start top left - would think it’s more efficient to start in the centre Assume this is like that in the real hornet? Maybe for screen clutter?

  5. I had a couple of goes yesterday and was surprised how difficult it was with small (at least I thought) corrections making me move wildly in comparison to the tanker - looks so easy on the vids but actually very hard

  7. and you tried to map it like post 3 (the 2 lines at the bottom of the screen grab - one of which is highlighted)?? Make sure you have 'axis' selected in the drop down menu at the top
  8. what profile are people using for the axis I have found I need to put in a 40% dead zone and then have saturation down to about 15 to 20 to make the target diamond controllable. However its now a bit slow on the radar how are others doing it?

For those (like me) who want to change the colour of the HUD to more like the green light seen in the real F18 on youtube you can do the following:- edit the following file:- C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\materials.lua and change the line:- MDG_materials[MDG_SELF_IDS.HUD] = {2, 255, 20, 255} to MDG_materials[MDG_SELF_IDS.HUD] = {151, 235, 193, 255} enjoy. you will have to re-edit the line every time there is an update

  15. Agree - I now see lower FPS flying over cities (no other objects in the mission) - keeps dipping below 45 FPS every now and then and looking to the side is no longer butter smooth. Hoping it’s fixed in the next update
  16. Hi Noticed the pitch ladder movement when moving fast in a vertical axis is not smooth like in other aircraft in DCS. Is this replicating the real F18, a bug or just my PC Thanks
  17. tested a few scenarios now PD 1.5 + MSAA x 0 PD 1.0 + MSAA x 4 PD 1.2 + MSAA x 4 PD 1.3 + MSAA x 2 PD 1.2 + MSAA x 2 for me the smoothest and best looking compromise is the last one (PD 1.2 + MSAA x 2) so a drop from 1.4PD to 1.2PD to get smooth gameplay over the large cities
  18. another Q..... When firing the 65-E's does the square laser dot just need to be in the circle or have to be in the crosshairs??

I have found the default laser code when I create a mission with the 65E shows as 1111 (self lasting) and when I uncaged with that code the tracking x does not go from side to side With that code the 65E will not track and I have to change the code to something else (beginning with a 1) eg 1255. Then all works ok and I can hit things A issue I have is if I select the 65e from the stores page and it shows the code but the missile is not uncaged. I press the code button (to change the laser code) and sometimes it will not not let me change the code. Thinking it may be some other setting stopping me doing that or maybe a bug - any help appreciated

  22. Agree it’s v nice Had to drop PD to 1.2 (from 1.4) to get smooth visuals (MSAA x2)
  23. Hi What’s the best way to uninstall a module to get the space back?? I know you can I tick them in the module manager but this does not delete the data and free up the space Any preferred methods out there or just delete them from the relevant directory - although I would think this may cause issues or leave some files in place in other directories Thanks in advance
