  1. I believe it's part of the bomb detonation feedback system
  2. could be, but would that cause both engines to synchronously switch on/off too? This is what I am experiencing at least...
  3. I have noticed on two different occasions now that when sustaining a significant amount of damage, all systems power off (including engines) intermittently with about 1 second intervals. This also causes the gunsight to deactivate, and moves the head left and right continuously. I'm an aircraft mechanic IRL, so I suspect there is something wrong in the damage logic causing this behavior. As friendly advice I consider looking into the following: Gunsight logic: Make it so the switch position moves the head, not the actual gunsight power state. This way, you will still observe through the gunsight, even if power is lost. Damage model logic: Something is causing intermittent electrical power and engine power shortages. I have attached a short track where this phenomenon occurs just after being hit by my own bomb blast a minute into the track. Mosquito intermittent power.trk
  4. Considering that the cannons are pneumatically operated, it could very well be a slight delay. It could also be that ED developers programmed it to depend on the pneumatic system, and some glitch causes a small delay. We will wait and see what they say
  5. On my end, I observe the following desynchronization: Me as pilot: Rudder trim: Observer sees rudder trim- OK Aileron trim: Observer sees elevator trim -NOT OK Elevator trim: Observer sees aileron trim - NOT OK
  6. Hello fellow simmers! I am trying something new and I don't know what I'm doing. Thanks to @Kj_flyguy for the sweet skins! Don't worry, I haven't put music over all the awesome ingame sounds! Also, I hope you like!

  7. Just run a mission with german flak. A few updates ago, when the ZSU-57 was introduced, the explosion effects turned into the same as lower caliber explosions. The black clouds are gone. The incorrect effect can be seen below!
  8. Hello all. Just wanted to add that this problem still exists and is quite annoying and highly reproducable. Yesterday, on a 12 player COOP mission, the last flight to depart (with taxi time about 20-30 minutes into the mission), all four flight members suffered ELEC SYS fail simultaneously. This messed up their INS so badly that the mission could not be flown. Any chance of having a fix for this ASAP? Due to the nature of it breaking about 20-30 mins into the game, this has a seriously negative effect on the sim experience as the whole mission goes out of sync.
  9. Thanks for confirming. I find it odd that ED aren't announcing these changes in their changelogs. I mean, the WW2 damage model revamp is something they are talking about a lot recently. I appreciate the effects, but for now, it seems as if AI aircraft are unaffected by it. I can't produce radiator leaks in an AI 109 for instance.
  10. Hello guys n gals! As the title says: Since Syria map update (when they introduced the new fire effects for burning aircraft) I am getting quite detailed damage results to the 109 (player controlled). For instance, individual radiator leaks (leak from engine compartment, or wingroot radiators), oil leaks (with visible streams), varying leak sizes (minor, huge, and fuel tank rupture). Also seem to be getting engine damage with reduced/intermittent performance. Furthermore, flight control cables can be damaged, or destroyed, wheels can puncture and a lot of instruments may stop working. So the question is: Are these improvements, or has the 109 'always' had such a detailed damage model?
  11. I was lucky enough to fly a few hours of DCS F-16:Viper in VR in a LAN environment with an ex-fighterpilot who has over 1500 hours in the F-16. The session involved: Formation takeoff, BFM (with ext wing tanks), CCIP MK-82 attack, BVR vs 2 AI Su-27 and SEAD. After this session he was extremely impressed with the fidelity of the sim, how realistic the aircraft performed, how accurate everything was etc. "It's just like sitting in the real thing, everything is familiar". Essentially he couldn't really understand that such a product was made available to the general public, due to the sheer accuracy of the jet. Briefly after stating that, he noted that, technically speaking it's the tactics and strategies that are sensitive information, and DCS does not offer that by default. Sure enough, he asked me how he could get DCS for himself at home
  12. Welcome I wish to extend to you my deepest gratitude and welcome! I know little about the Typhoon from before, other than its distinguished look, but I can tell you right now that I am looking forward to getting acquainted with it in DCS
