During the daytime, I can't see the information on the HUD when the boom is right in front of it. I tried with both day and night modes and intensity at max. Not trying to hijack your thread; but what should I do to be able to read the HUD? I have HDR off, Tex medium, and Heat Blur off.

about getting the wind from the CDU: does it only display the current wind and air temp, or can you look up what the wind/temp was at set times or altitudes.

I changed it in the HUD to say HEI instead of CM and rearmed, but was still shooting Combat Mix. How do I get the ground crew to load only HEI rounds into the plane? Also is there a way to make the TGP diamond visable when the Gun icon is over it?

I am currently using XP 64-bit, so it is ok to install to the Program Files.

Hell no. I just want to know if anyone else still had 7.5GB of files after they uninstalled Beta 4.

I uninstalled Beta 4 from the add/remove programs list and noticed that there was still 7.5 GB in the folder I installed it in, is that normal? What else do I have to do for a clean uninstall of Beta 4 (patched from Beta 1)? Also does TARS Beta 10 work with the latest A-10C release?

So what happens when you cross the border; do enemies spawn in? In mission 6 I briefly crossed the border and got the text message about violating the state border, but other than that nothing seemed to happen.

So do you have wingmates in this campaign? I am in need of single player Black Shark missions without wingmates. The AI wingmates kill any kind of immersion what so ever.

Just exit out and load up ArmA 2 after you eject; or better yet, STALKER: Call of Pripyat; you could pretend that it was the beginning of your Call of Pripyat story.

I am currently playing Republic by DZEN. It is overall very good, though 8 and 9 are bad. I am stuck on mission 9. What are some other missions/campaigns that are only for a single KA-50.

It looked like an alright autorotation. There are no attachments or cannon rounds onboard Map: Dragon's Training Freeflight good_autorotation_explosion.trk

Too bad, before patch 1.0.2 for Blackshark we could turn those sounds off, or too whatever volume we wanted..

Please give us the ability to turn off the GUI-like sounds of the switches, buttons, dials and other controls without affecting any other sounds.

It is, especially for helicopters.

Just out of curiousity: To the people who say that it works correctly without curves; does it work correctly when you have dead zones, either in the center or at the ends of the axis?

Here is my fix to the wingman problem: 1. Start the mission from the missions folder, you can start all campaign missions from there. 2. As soon as you take off tell your flight to RTB 3. Play the mission solo, if you want to you can always come back and rearm or quit and go on to the next mission.

The question is: If something is firing at you, would it be better to hit Flight Director or Autopilot Disengauge? Probably Autopilot Disengauge, although I doubt many people have much experience flying with all the autopilot channels off. Flight Director might be a good idea for dogfighting with other aircraft or aiming the fixed weapons.

Is the centering force adjustable on the stick or throttle?

A lot of people complain about the night missions in this game, but I really like them. Adjusting brightness and contrast settings of the lights, tv screen, and goggles should not be difficult for experienced players. I am having some trouble seeing the Search Light though. Really though; if you are using a TN panel LCD(almost all store bought PC monitors), you need to buy a LED backed LCD or an IPS LCD immediately.

You would think that there would be some options to change the stuff on the HUD. Along with this I am disturbed that we cannot have all the information on the HUD while using the Schkval since that is when we need it the most.

When I run out of ATGMs, I tell my wingmen to destroy dangerous vehicles, they often take much longer than they should to do this, especially if you are far from a waypoint. I find that the cannon can do just about everything the rockets can. As for real pilots I think they would take the fuel tanks instead of the rockets. By the way, is their a way I can see how much fuel is left in the external tanks?

Most of the time it is best to forget the unguided weapons and take external fuel tanks instead. I am able to operate for less than 2 hours from full internal fuel tanks. Is there a way to see how much fuel is left in the external tanks?
