  1. Yes, indeed... Maybe damaged in heavy seas... Don't forget to switch on the color smokes, when overflying the Champs Elysées !
  2. Nothing to do with the Rafale, but here is a photo seen on the "Mer et Marine" magazine, showing the French frigate Surcouf returning to its homebase in Toulon, on July 8th, after 5 months escorting the Tonnerre LHA during its midship cruise. Good example of heavy duty texture, with the hull extensively stained and rusty.... Fly low...
  3. Thanks Patrick and Eric for these comments. We know that it is quite impossible to compete with the hundreds of developers out there who develop autonomous Mods. Nevertheless, your outstanding Mods (Rafale, SEM, Clemenceau, Charles de Gaulle, etc) are praised by a large community of users, because they fill a huge gap in the aircaft and ships available in DCS. Also, we all users of your excellent Mods need that you continue your hard work in order to provide those outstanding ships and aircraft, even if they are not fully self-contained. Many thanks also to Fill and Sushy, who provide their excellent contributions to your work. Altogether, there exist a strong, large and enthusiastic community of users that are unanymously very satisfied with your amazing additions to DCS. Many thanks to you. Fly low...
  4. Ok, thanks Patrick for your detailed answer. So, I will keep 2.5.6 for now. Keep us happy with your great Mods, Fly low...
  5. Hi All, I have one question to the 2.7 users community : what version of the 2.7 OpenBeta still supports the SEM, Rafale, Dauphin, Panther, Super Frelon, Alouette III, Clemenceau and Charles de Gaulle, Durance, Aquitaine, etc Mods ? I 'm still using the last 2.5.6 version, and very happy with it because all these Mods work perfectly... and I absolutely want to continue to use them every day... Thanks for your help, Fly low...
  6. Excellent. Impressive work. Thanks Admiral
  7. Nice shots. Sea trials nearing completion, Admiral ?
  8. Very nice livery ! But somehow confusing for optical surveillance systems if poor visibility and bad weather, isn't it ? It might trigger fire on a supposed red sub wandering nearby....
  9. My test with the AI Harrier on the USS Tarawa, with two 300 gallons tanks and a bomb load, were performed with a rolling take-off, indeed. But this was the AI version of the aircraft, and it barely succeeded as mentioned previously, with questionable security margins, let's say... I don't know for the user version. Admiral, yes, I'm looking forward for the USS America. Your efforts and Mods are amazing. Many thanks, Fly low... Note : for those who wonder, my "Fly low" signature comes for a live recording during the Desert Storm ops. It was available on the Web, and one could hear a damaged F-16 or F-15 being advised by the ground control to divert to a friendly airbase... and to "Fly low" repeated twice, because of enemy defenses....
  10. Admiral, I'm using your Mods every day, so we all need your excellent Mods. Below is a screenshot of a small part of my armada, sailing in the Persian Gulf. A carrier group with the QE is formed with an escort of several Duncan frigates, not shown here. Also, several other carrier groups with the Th. Roosevelt, Charles de Gaulle, and Clemenceau carriers are formed with their escorts, involving several instances of the USS Constellation, Aquitaine, La Fayette, Durance, HMCS Montreal, USS Kidd and Patuxent ships. They are not shown here. They escort an international amphibious task force shown below (see screenshot), which includes all your Mods : San Antonio, Oak Hill, LCAC, etc. They are chased by the Kuznetsov and Liaoning red carrier groups with their escorts. The blue carrier groups are also attacked by red squadrons of land-based Su-34, Tu-22 strike bombers with anti-ship missiles. Similarly, the red Kuznetsov and Liaoning carrier groups are attacked by blue carrier-based SEM, Rafale, EA-6B Prowler and F/A-18 anti-ship strike flights, launching AGM-88, AGM-84, Scalp and Exocet missiles. And of course, each carrier group is protected by its own on-board CAP squadrons of SEM, Rafale and F-18 fighters, and orbiting EWR, and AAR tankers. A fierce air and naval battle develops, as shown here by the 2 Tactical Overviews displayed on the screenshot by DCS. Overall, as shown in the 2nd screenshot, this includes 111 aircraft, 70 ships, 18 helos and 97 static objects, for a grand total of 296 units... I use the powerful MOOSE mission scripting environment to define each side defense zones, strikes and CAP. The most demanding part for the MOOSE software is that the blue and red defense zones overlap. This means that there can be at one time 7 defense CAP tasks on the blue side (usually several 2 fighters patrols), engaging 12 defense tasks on the red side... notwithstandng all ongoing anti-ship strike fligths on both sides (usually multiple 4 aircraft missile strike flights). DCS + MOOSE allow this complex scenario to execute correctly and seamlessly. Excellent work Admiral, your Mods are amazing. They are central to my scenarios. Sorry for this very long post, Fly low...
  11. Hi Admiral, Did you try the Harrier with two 300 gallons tanks, plus a full bomb load ? This doesn't work for my AI Harrier on a tremplin deck. It works however on the USS Tarawa : the speed is 100 knots at the end of the flight deck, the aircraft then goes down to 50 feet above water and then accelerates to normal flight... Fly low...
  12. Hi, Yes, the AI Harrier can take off from the Tarawa deck with two 300 gallons fuel tanks, if starting the take-off roll from a rear deck spot. With two AA missiles, one empty tank and one 300 gallons tank, it can take-off barely at 150 knots at the end of the flight deck, then goes down towards the sea surface as low as 50 feet, and then accelerates to normal flight. If no loadout, it will take-off vertically. But it can't if it has any loadout, except two small rocket launchers. All these figures are for the AI Harrier AV-8B. Fly low...
  13. I'll check the VSN Mods. Thanks Sushy, Fly low.... Edit : indeed, there is a VSN Eurofighter Mod, using FC3. I'll test it. Edit 2 : and there is a 2nd Mod that doesn't need FC3, it's the RST Eurofighter
  14. I saw recently a screenshot of the Eurofighter here (from Sushy ?). Is this Mod public and available somewhere ? Thanks, Fly low...
  15. Yes, amber is really cool. Thanks Admiral.
  16. Hi, Thanks for your excellent Mods. They are very realistic and add superb ships to our armadas. I have recently observed three glitches concerning the L02 Canberra (I suppose it is the same for the L61 Juan Carlos ship), when using the default AV-8B AI aircraft : - the aft central parking spot is a bit too far aft, so the AV-8B stands half above the aft platform below, with a wheel suspended in the air (see screenshot below) - when loaded, the AI aircraft also land much too far aft behind the ship, with visible tyre smoke as if the flight deck extended in the air behind, instead of landing on the model flight deck : then, they go through the hangar door without damage, and afterwards, they reappear up on the existing flight deck rolling normally to their parking spot (screenshots below). In this landing example, the aircraft load is 2 Sidewinder missiles, plus two 300 gallons fuel tanks. - using this same loadout, sadly, the aircraft cannot take-off from the assigned default take-off position at the foot of the tremplin, because it has not enough roll distance to accelerate to a consistent take-off speed. It just rolls up the tremplin and ditches into the sea. Would it be possible to define the default take-off roll starting position near the back end of the flight deck ? I guess all these points have to do with the runways and parking spots lua files. Could you check these points, please ? Thanks in advance, and congrats for your excellent Mods, Toan
  17. Air Air refueling.... This an automated in-flight process, thanks to the excellent MOOSE mission scripting environment, during a fierce air battle over the Persian Gulf. Many thanks to the MOOSE developers for their outstanding software. Fly low...
  18. OK, thanks. Well, deleting and recreating the ship group was just what I was trying to avoid. But anyway, I will apply your solution. Excellent work you make withs Mod, indeed.
  19. Hi, Thanks for this superb Mod. I encountered a problem when trying to activate an existing mission that was using the L61 and F105 frigates from a preceding version of the Mod. However, the new version 3.2, which includes very interesting new ships, cannot recognize the "old" L61 and F105 ships in my existing missions. The Mission Editor, says it needs the "F105" and the "L61", after I uninstalled the old L61 pack, and subsequently installed the new 3.2 pack. Which means that I have to modify in the ME every mission that uses older versions of the ships , i.e., deleteing the ships individually, then replacing them one by one. I have several missions with huge armadas in the Persian Gulf, involving over 50 ships, that include several instances of the superb F100, F105 and L61. Would it be possible to update the installer of 3.2 so that the ME editor recognizes the new versions of the ships, without modifying each mission individually ? Thanks for your superb work. Fly low... sail fast....
  20. Many thanks for your amazing work on the L-61, F-100, F-105, L-52 and HMAS Hobbart and HMAS Canberra.

    Superb modern ships !

    Excellent work indeed.

  21. This reminds me of a previous 2.5.6 update last year, when all the users of FC3 discovered unbelievably that its files were encrypted.... without notice already.... Fortunately, this was corrected afterwards. Could we again expect ED to reasonably revise its position on this lua database to "ensure a level playing field for all"... Thanks in advance, ED.
  22. What puzzles me is that the original message from Bignewy was posted 2 months ago, on April 23. Considering the totally destructive impact of the last DCS 2.7 update on the Rafale Mod, the result of ED current investigations "into ways to help modders" seems far from constructive...
