Hey, Maybe these ships that I was targeting with Scalp missiles had powerful ECM and jamming systems. I tested the Scalp and Exocet, while attacking a fleet including the Kuznetsov carrier, the Moskva cruiser and the Pieltsky AA cruiser. I found this last AA cruiser very difficult to sink, although I used several anti-ship wings of EA-6B Prowler equipped with HARM, as well as several SEM and Rafale M wings with Exocet and Scalp missiles. I had to adopt several varying and out of range routes to escape its saturating AA missiles, before I could succeed to destroy it using at least 10 Exocet.... None of the Scalp succeeded to hit the ship, and at least 3 Exocet did. My conclusion here is that you need of course several missile hits to sink a large cruiser or carrier type ship. The attacking wings (2 to 4 aircraft each) followed different routes, flying low attack profiles. They were launched by the Theodore Roosevelt CVN, the Charles de Gaulle and the Clemenceau carriers. Allover, I lost many pilots and aircraft during this attack of 3 strongly armed ships, and I must admit that the Kuznetsov wasn't yet programmed (by me...) to send any Su-33 fighters against my attacking wings.... Complex but challenging scenario that I will work out... Fly low...

OK, thanks, this is what I observed. One more point is that the planes must not be defined as starting cold or with engine running from a parking slot. See my screenshot above. It works only if they are "aligned on the runway", i.e., ready for a catapult launch. My question was to try to extend this aspect, with realistic parking slots, using the only 2 exact catapults locations and with better aircraft handling while on the carrier. Thanks for all your work ! Fly low...

Hi, I have this SEM non correctly launching problem when I have a group of 2 or more AI SEM being launched from the Clemenceau, parked with cold or running engines. When two SEM are aligned on the runway (the cats), ready for take-off (i.e. for launch) with engine running, it's OK. So, when there are only 2 of them, they get launched correctly from the 2 "normal" existing cats if they are aligned on the runways, i.e., the cats.. But when there are 2 or more AI SEM, starting from the parking slots, with engines running or not, they are parked half embedded in the superstructure, and get launched from 2 non-existing cats, on the forward deck, and get stuck. This has to do with the parking slots wrong locations, as well as the routes on the deck to the cats, and the cats wrong locations in the "Clemenceau.lua" file. I have a consistent draft set of locations with their coordinates for the parking slots, waypoints for routes on the deck to the cats, if someone is interested. I'd like to update it and create a correct set for the .lua file.... But unfortunately, I am no expert at this. Some help from the Cuesta Bros, or any other competent person, would be greatly appreciated. Fly low...

Ok, thanks Kolpakov. I discovered a problem with the catapults on the Clemenceau. When I have a group 3 aircraft aligned on the runways, with engine running and waiting for launching. One is stationed on the aft elevator, which unexpectedly lowers itself down, leaving the aircraft floating in the air. This aircraft is then aligned on a non-existing catapult at the starboard front-side of the carrier. It then gets launched through the superstructure of the ship without harm, and goes flying correctly.... The other 2 aircraft are launched correctly by the 2 existing catapults. I guess this has to do with the runways declaration in the Clemenceau.lua file. But I am no expert here. Thanks for any help. Fly low.

To Sushy, An Armée de l'Air livery for this superb Tucano, which was used by the Ecole de l'Air in Salon de Provence ?... Fly low...

Hiall, The Alouette 3 and Super-Frelon take-off correctly from the Clemenceau carrier, but they land next to it, floating in the air with engines off (see screenshot). It seems also not possible to fly on station besides the carrier for these AI only helos. The behavior of the helos in DCS seems unfortunately erratic sometimes when involving aircraft carriers....

Full speed turn for the Clemenceau carreir, showing a clear bank on its port side... All the Mods on the deck are from from Damien. The Clemenceau is from Markindel, revisited by the Cuesta Bros. Thanks to them.

Il y a une photo ici : http://www.netmarine.net/aero/aeronefs/alouette/photo03.htm These are emergency floatability equipments. Better if you have to ditch in the water. A photo is shown here : http://www.netmarine.net/aero/aeronefs/alouette/photo03.htm

Thank you Damien for your immediate help. It is (and will remain) difficult to thank you for your superb Mods. A huge contribution, indeed. Together with Sushy and the Cuesta Bros, you are exceptional Mods contributors for the French Armée de l'Air and Navy.

Merci Sushy.
