Those evasive maneuvers would probably be more appropriate to avoid torpedo hits, using also specific ASW jammers. Note that in the scenario above, the USS Kidd goes at "only" 25 knots. It could sail over 30 knots in fact. Maneuvering at high speed for such a large ship gives here interesting opportunities to fly really low (20 feet at 228 knots in the second screen) ! Fly low to avoid AA defense....

Bonjour, J'ai testé en partie l'armement anti-aérien de la frégate La Fayette, en simulant des attaques aériennes. Les missiles et l'armement léger sur chaque bord fonctionnent parfaitement. Mais je n'ai pas pu mettre en évidence le fonctionnement de la tourelle canon sur l'avant du navire. Quelqu'un peut-il confirmer son fonctionnement ? Merci d'avance, Toan Hi, I have tested the La Fayette frigate AA armement, using simulated anti-ship air attacks. The AA missiles and the light side armement work perfectly. However, I coudn't manage to show the forward AA gun working. Could somebody confirm that it works OK ? Thanks, Toan

Hey Sushy, Je ne reconnais pas le porte-hélicoptères qui est sur le deuxième screen avec le CDG sur son tribord... Une info, please ? Par ailleurs, je vois un magnifique Dauphin portes ouvertes sur le pont du CDG, entre le Rafale et le Hawkeye, sur le dernier screen. Je suis justement à la recherche d'un Pedro pour le CDG. It is downloadable from : http://frenchvfr.free.fr/download.php?lng=en&dirdnl=no&tconfig=0&id=2 Instruction are given for the needed user id and passwd, in a red colored font. The file name is : VEH_FREMM_Aquitaine_v1.6.zip I just tried to download it, and it works OK. Thanks for your excellent work and ships. Toan

Hi Admiral, Thanks for the good news concerning the USS Kidd. I currently have an expeditionary force training in the Persian Gulf, with your excellent Oak Hill, San Antonio, along with several LCAC, all escorted by Duncan class frigates with several transport and support helicopters on board. I'm just waiting for the USS Kidd to provide a deterrent AA protection.... Concerning the French ships, a multi-purpose FREMM frigate "Aquitaine" was available for FSX, and I think one also for DCS 1.5.x. Maybe a model could be reworked from these. This would make an interesting carrier group with the Charles de Gaulle and the Durance supply ship that are already available for DCS 2.5.6. Thanks for your superb ships. Toan
