  1. It was a mod, Su-30 more precisely. But it made me do a revision of all the mods I have, some were just taking up space.
  2. I'm placing various ground units in mission editor but when I launch the mission, none of them are there. I tried two different maps, several unit types and countries but it's the same. They simply don't exist. They are not set on ''late activation' or anything like that. I tried repairing the game too. Same goes when I try to place static objects. The only thing that seems to work is the smoke effect. I have a bunch of mods installed but I'm not sure if any of them could cause such an issue. Has anyone else experienced something like that?
  3. Hi! What might be reasons for not seeing your own dedicated server? It used to work fine in the past but recently, it simply stopped showing up in the list. I see other servers, I can log on to them. But not my own. First, the server app wouldn't even start because it couldn't find the launch file. Then I uninstalled it reinstalled it. The GUI happily informs me that it is running. I tried to connect by IP address but no luck there either. Both DCS and DCSserver are updated, both are open beta.
  4. Your lua works, thank you very much! Now, I'm still puzzled about the difference between your file and what I did. Must be some stupid comma missing somewhere
  5. Thanks for the reply. This is a great list but unfortunately, it didn't help. Usually, weapons have a code something like: "{0DA03783-61E4-40B2-8FAE-6AEE0A5C5AAE}" That's MICA IR and all you have to do is to paste it under local inboard for example and it becomes available to carry on that hardpoint. R.530 doesn't have that but simply "{R530F_IR}" (for the IR version). If you try to paste that under the other weapons' codes for a hardpoint, not only that it doesn't work but, Mirage III disappears from the list of available aircraft in the mission editor. There's gotta be something else that needs to be done but my modding skills are extremely basic Thanks but R.530 doesn't seem to be available there.
  6. Does anybody know how to add R.530 to VSN's Mirage III? With most other weapons, you can find that coded line in the lua file of a model which uses that weapon and then you copy/paste it to the other airplane's lua. But R.530 doesn't seem to have that code, I've looked in Mirage F1's lua and it's not there (unlike many other weapons used by that module). Thanks!
  7. - Vietnam (from the 1960s) - Iraq )with portions of NW Iran and Saudi Arabia) - Suez Canal - Korea (1950s)
  8. Thank you for your reply. I have learned how to cope with this issue to some extent. I shoot scenes in segments etc. The Mirage /Tomcat situation really frustrated me because with those two, nothing works. Generally, it's not too bad for me personally. My channel will have less competition because few people will be bothered to struggle with the replay track It is, of course bad for ED because they are missing out on a lot of free advertising. I just hope that it will be placed in some future schedule and that five years from now, it's not still in the 'we can't do it now but maybe someday' category.
  9. I would like to share my views and opinions on this topic, I hope someone from ED will read it. I'm a YT content creator, currently with about 12.000 subs and over 3 million views on the channel. I use DCS as my platform. And sure, I think this is the best military flying simulation ever made. I've been playing them since the 80s and I have to commend the efforts that go into continuous improvement of DCS. And if there's one thing I could change, that would definitely be the replay track. It's one of the weakest spots of the whole game. And it's not just something that content creators use, I think. I've always enjoyed using replay track in various flying and driving simulations long before I started producing videos. That's why I think fixing it would mean much more to many players than some new helmet display alignment procedure or a new radar mode (not that realism isn't important). As someone already wrote here, content creators are excellent free propaganda for any game. I've had so many comments with people asking, 'what is this game' (even though I always include it in the title ), 'where can I download it', 'is it free to play' etc. I can't say how many new players my channel brought to the game but I'm sure the number is not small. I haven't found any connection between level of details and replay track. One connection I found was that certain models are extremely prone to it. I've tried Mirage 2000 and F-14 with intention to buy both of them. I haven't bought them and I will not. Why? Because replay tracks on those two break EVERY SINGLE TIME. And it's not just the usual, 'AI does something different'. The player's airplane starts to deviate from the very start and in a few minutes, it just crashes into the ground (or sea). Every time, without exception! I managed to do a couple of videos with the Mirage but I was restricted to live cockpit recording and AI. Yes, those models are third party but I'm sure they can't fix that without ED. Other Razbam modules such as MiG-19 and Harrier don't seem to be any worse than ED modules. To sum up, replay track is one thing that deserves to be put on some 'to do' list for a complete redesign. The concept of allowing AI to make different decisions makes no sense. Il-2 Great Battles has an excellent replay that works and you can even rewind it. I think DCS deserves to have one at least as good. On the long run, it would seriously contribute to the game's success.
  10. From my experience, this kind of a problem is common to various modules. And currently, this is the most annoying thing in DCS, in my opinion. It shouldn't even be called replay track, more something like "let's see how else this could have happened" track :) I think we should put some more pressure to ED to resolve this. Or at least, put it on their to do list. Reply to this thread if you agree.
