This stuff is a little bit over my head, but I am trying to learn. One more question (for now)-is there a Helios profile for this or did you use the eagle pit profile and gauges for your post?

I'm using slightly modified EaglePit or Capt _Zeen_F-15C v1.0b profiles.

Copy all dll's from Leavu "dll" folder to your "System Drive:\Windows\SysWOW64" folder.

If you have any problems, make sure you have installed:

• .NET 2 (& any SP versions)

• .NET 3 (& any SP versions)

• MS VC++ Redist 2008 SP1

• [LEAVU CLIENT ONLY] a 32bit Java JRE (Such as SUN's

available at http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp , DO

NOT select 64 bit even if you are running 64 bit OS. Leavu only

works with 32bit JRE.)

• [LEAVU CLIENT ONLY] Make sure you have unzipped the dlls

folder into System32 and SysWoW64 and see if it helps

• If keybindings don't work, make sure both lockon and leavu are

running as the same user (otherwise global keyboard input isnt

detected). For example make sure if you run DCS as admin, also run

leavu2 as admin, or better, don't run either as admin.

I've got it going in FC3 with a hash of the instructions here and elswhere. Must have been fluke. I'm not sure it works well enough to share and since the datalink portion im unable to test or use, the HSD is of limited use on the F15, especially without Bullseye which is what I really wanted.

Seems that this didn't work with standalone F15C..:(....or I have something wrong because Leavu cannot connect DCS after I start all..

I spoke with Pikey and he actually got it to work. However, the method to get it working with Helios was very complicated and I decided to hold off for awhile and just use Cpt Z's helios profile for the time being. By the way, he did get the RWR to work and I think the Weapons loadout screen to also work.

i'm unable to get captzeens helios FC3 F15 profile working as well.

are the gauges working for you in that?

I haven't run Capt Z's profile in awhile, but when I did, everything ran fine, but no RWR and no weapons loadout. The pseudo-MFCD takes a little tinkering to get it to run, but it did so when I figured out how to set it up.

Capt Z's Export file and Helios gauges work. I used them and LEAVU to create the screen used in my pit (RWR is not working yet)

As I stated above, I seem to have no issues with Capt Z's Helios profile and the insert, MFCD_FC3 for the fake weapons loadout screen. What I have been stymied on is the complexity of getting LEAVU to work with the F15 and Helios. As I stated above, Pikey was able to work with all of this but stated to me that it was not easy to make Helios and Leavu play nice together.

If you have the time, perhaps you could explain how to get Leavu working with the export file that we all use for Helios. After that, then perhaps I can tackle getting Leavu and Capt Z's Helios profile to work together.

By the way, Pikey said that he got the RWR to work.

Well first you need to drop the MFCD_FC3.lua file into the script folder and then add this line to the end of the Export script

dofile(require('lfs').writedir()..'Scripts/MFCD_FC3.lua')

Then edit the bat file to launch LEAVU. I use this one (adjust the x and y position for your monitor setup.

start javaw -Djava.library.path=lib -jar lib/MFC_FC3_v1.1.jar -noborders -useMFD1 -xy1935,502 -s265 -green -pagesADI,NAV,ENG

Thats all I did and it works fine. Of coarse I use the Thrustmaster MFD for the buttons.

No joy on this program. Questions: Do you have Net 2 and 3 on your system? I have only Net 4. I think I have both the 32 and 64 bit versions of Java on my computer. Did you set up the screens in the game as just one monitor or did you use both of your monitors?

I have gotten MFC_FC3 working nicely in Capt Z's Helios profile so I am not concerned about that program for now. My bat file is the following:

I'm trying LEAVU now and it seems promising,

though I can't seem to save the MFD's role.

every time I load it, it remembers the position of the windows but not their role (RWR FCR SMS...)

I have to manually adjust before every flight...

I'm not using a touch screen or using the borders, so I have to bind Keys and play on the keyboard for it to adjust...

I cant find how to load SMS for example... very confusing...

is there a way you could save the role of the MFD and not only the position??

Maybe a hotkey to disable/enable borders in flight??

i'll really like to fly with a nice working instruments ...

i use MFCD_FC3 but this one is not very easy to read in flight . :(

Well the ADI is working in Helios for FC3 F15C using the Capt Zeen profile

It is the RWR that is currently not available for the F15C

is it working with Mirage 2000 ?

I seriously doubt it.... Captain Zeen has done wonders getting some of the newer planes to work with Helios but that one is not listed. Isn't that a brand new plane?

Captain Zeens Helios Profile is great for the F-15, I recently got it set up, but the implementation of MFC_FC3 created a MASSIVE FPS hit! In which I posted at :

Nice to hear your happy, but I dont see any need to change unless there will be some gain of sorts? My issue is not with Leavu2, it was the massive FPS hit from MFC_FC.

Leavu3 does everything Leavu2 does only easier and adds new features. There is no need for MFC_FC.

I dont use MFC_FC, thats why we went through all that pain in the but stuff to get me setup to use Leavu2, and it works fine! Unless Im missing something here,, since i already have Leavu setup and running, why would I change?
