The 9.1 package is version 8.57.3, not the same as the hotfix drivers though as these fix the 6 - 8GB install problem and the previous hotfixes dont. The hotfixes are faster in various games however due to the multi-gpu threading which wont be in the official drivers til later. If you dont want to wait, the drivers are already on various other sites." Edited January 29, 2009 by Mustang
rapid Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 (edited) Roger that Mustang i believe you that your post is correct. beczl Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I have a same problem. I have Vista X64. After I install 9-1_xp64_dd_ccc_enu_74231.exe BS won't run. :-( Later on I reinstalled the driver and the game too (twice) but it doesn't work. I try to remove the ATI driver with Driver Cleaner Net. It seems to be succefull, but the game doesn't run. I try to overwrite the whole Blackshark directory from my "BS backup", but it doesn't work too.

Mustang Posted January 29, 2009 Author Posted January 29, 2009 Huh.....thats strange, i've been using them most of the evening with no issues  So far i've flown DCS:BS in 159th server for several hours and had a session on GTAIV, both have been flawless on my HD3850. Are all you guys who are having issues 4850/4870 or X2/Crossfire owners?

Mustang Posted January 29, 2009 Author Posted January 29, 2009 (edited) Need to ask this: 1: are the people who are having issues just plain installing the 9.1's without first uninstalling the previous ones first? 2: is it just the vista guys having crap? reason i ask this is because i've had absolutely NO problems all evening using 9.1 (XP32 driver) in DCS:BS (online or offline), Lockon FC 1.12, GTAIV, World In Conflict, FarCry 2 or anything else  Edited January 29, 2009 by Mustang
graywo1fg Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 maybe its only people with Crossfire or X2 cards? Mustang are you running crossfire? JG14_Smil Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Vista 64 bit. Properly installed drivers, X2 disabled. Catalyst AI will not let BS launcher run if enabled. Vsync full screen still not working with 9.1.

-Nighthawk- Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Catalyst 9.1 drivers were aimed at fixing a few media related bugs, not really doing anything in games. I'm pretty sure in 9.2 / 9.3 we will see an updated Avivo and some nice performance improvements. 1
