All I have been able to find were expensive, military grade ones which cost 50 to 80 dollars each. Does anyone know of a place where they are sold reasonably inexpensive? Say 10 dollars each or less?

Or you can send a PM to "Stonehard" on this forum.. I think he's got some Hat Switches from Thrustmaster left in stock..

Conrad (http://www.conrad.de/com) in germany has a large selection of buttons and switches at reasonable prices (they also have the nice Alps microsticks, which are very nice (currently have one duct-taped to my ms FFB2 :P ).

I tryed one similar to the one Stelios linked to, but I did'nt really like it.. Then I bought another from Elfa, but that one is ridiculously small (the type that are in some cell phones)..

I ended up slaughtering an old CH stick, their hats are indeed nice. Unlike the other ones which look like a tactile switch, the CH ones are made up of four individual buttons in a plastic casing...

Next time I need one I'll try to fabricate something similar to the CH ones, but perhaps using two momentary flip switches instead for longer through and better feel...

Those are my experiences FWIW... Hope you find something to suite your needs!!

those are the ones i used - very good they are too, but not really hat switches, those are thumbjoys. best bet for simple hat switches is by ripping up old throttles or joysticks.

Yip. My first thought was to buy used joystick for the buttons and the USB controller. The cheapest USB controller I could find was from Lbodnar which he's selling at 35 dollars + 10 dollars shipping. Still too expensive for me though.

That Thumb Joystick looks good. What's the different between a ministick and a hat switche? They move in four directions so they are similiar aren't they?

Good finds there!!

(In your last link, one of the buttons there (the black round one with metal nuts) I have about 200 of (bought from a sell-out at Elfa).. :D )

You wouldn't happen to have bought 200 4-way switches did you because I would buy some. :D

Guys, go to this website, it has everything you need and its all very cheap. I think his aim is to sell replica sticks and throttles, but whilst he's developing them he's selling buttons, hats, switches and whatever else.

Splash one bandit.

Edit: Bah Sokol1, you bastard! :D
