jib Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 (edited) Edit: New Profile Here is my profile: It contains most of the common tasks you would want to say over the radio. Download and save the It has combined commands for quick, realistic radio commands. As well as single radio commands for when you are learning the radio structure or for more detailed instructions (E.g attack artillery at my SPI with missile from the north) In VAC Builder, click File, Import, VAC Profile (xml) and browse to the You then have to load the imported profile with File, Load. If you don't have vac system there is a 30 - day trial period and it is only £11.30 ($18) to buy Money well spent I think for all the use I have gotten out of it. http://www.dwvac.com/ I love actually speaking to the JTAC! pitbldr Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Thanks for posting this! I used a program called Game Commander (I think) a fews years back for Janes F/A-18 and it worked great for giving wingies commands. I'll have to pick this up for DCSW to do the same thing.
rocketeer Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Hey Jib thanks for posting this. I used VAC for Lock on years ago. Recently tried to get it working again from the old PC. It'd be cool to use this for A10C. My A10C cockpit thread

jib Posted October 22, 2010 Author Posted October 22, 2010 Hey Jib, did you change the default comms key from "\" to "#" ? No I dont thinks so. the Default command to open the radio menu is # (the one next to the main enter key) at least it is on my computer. I am using a UK keyboard so the setting could be different. jib Posted October 22, 2010 Author Posted October 22, 2010 Thinking about it I could have changed it??? I cant check atm. You could probebly do a find and replace on # with \ in the profile file and reload it into VAC. hassata Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Hi Jib. Is it possible to manually tune in the frequency, select the proper radio with the hotas, then use this profile to just speak the transmission? And does it have all the commands yet, or is it still WIP? Thanks [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Caspet Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Profile download Hi jib. Is the profile finished yet and if so can I download it from some where? Cheers  Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee Muhammad Ali-(Cassius Clay) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Waxi Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 (edited) This is the VAC profile I am using. It covers almost all radio commands and seems to be quite similar to jib's profile. I was creating it using a text editor (Notepad++), which in my opinion is much easier and faster than using the GUI provided by VAC. Being able to actually say "Wingman engage armor with missile from the east" instead of clicking through the radio menu greatly enhances immersion. Moreover, communication with JTAGs gets much more effective :thumbup:DCS A-10C Warthog VAC Profile.rar Edited September 27, 2011 by Waxi 1
Caspet Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Thanks Waxi only just come across Vac, downloaded it today and will give your profile a spin tomorrow. Again thanks for your effort and your quick response :clap_2: Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee Muhammad Ali-(Cassius Clay) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
HOP_TRIZZ Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 thanks bro now if i could remember all the cammands...
TulsA-10 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 WOW man this is great! Can't wait to try this. " I'm gonna have to be taking your car today. See I have some top secret clown business that supersedes any plans that you might have for this here vehicle."
HOP_TRIZZ Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 it seems that i might be having a little trouble, i can't seem to get the program to work with the Sim i hit comms men / and speak but nothing works do i need to program the Sim or something?
kobac Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 (edited) I have already made a profile (have most of the commands) but I have not tried it all (due to lack of time, so it's WIP). See attachment and delete what you have is unnecessary. I hope there are not many mistakes because English is not my native language. Basically commands work, and you can see how to set up. Note: Prior to talks with ATC you must select VHF AM (Radio 1), with JTAC select VHF FM (Radio 2), with your flight members select UHF (Radio 3). Mic FWD, Mic AFT, and Mic Down - see manual. If it bothers jib, because I set my profile in his theme, let him say to me and I will delete my post.DCS_A-10_Warthog_VAC.rar Edited October 1, 2011 by kobac [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]Everything is possible ...
HOP_TRIZZ Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 finally fixed the program ,nice can it be used in mp also?

AJ.eightFive Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 To all those usng VAC, I have created a mod that suppresses the virtual pilot's speech and delays between issuing a command and receiving a response. See this post: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1345157#post1345157
Waxi Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I use "Mic Switch Up" on my HOTAS Warthog to activate VAC. Hi Waxi i would also like to know how you have manage this, i am also using the hotas warthog but can not seem to get vac to activate thanks Sorry for the late response but I was not in the forums for a while. I use a custom TARGET profile for my HOTAS Warthog and assigned the same key on the keyboard to "Mic Switch Up" and VAC activation.
