Doesnt matter if its SP campaign or single mission, training mission or quickstart mission, Im always having to restart DCS everytime I finish a mission regardless. Every single time. These are the 10 most recent; havent had this issue prior to 2.5.6 afaik, running 2.5.6.45915.

Remove any unofficial mods ( if any ) and run a cleanup and repair or verify for steam users.

Drivers 445.75 used were released 3/23/2020. Repaired more than a few times, and no mods used. This is a clean install of 45915.

Just want to add that I am also experiencing the issue as described by Hammer1-1 above. Don't have any log files but I'll let DCS create them going forward and post here.

 

Hi and welcome to the forum, thanks for the zip folder.

 

It looks like it is crashing your display driver.

 

Try a cleanup and repair or verify for steam users, and check your gpu driver also

same issues. Looked at the log and had the same DX11 error. Will try and update drivers and see if that fixes the issue.

I'm having the same issue.

 

When selecting "fly again", or selecting a second instant action mission (first one loading ok), DCS crashes.

 

I added a few logs

 

(Using OB 2.5.6, running no mods and use the latest Nvidia driver 445.75)

 

 

 

Edit:

Did a bit more testing and it doesn't seem to matter which mission I choose, DCS always crashes upon loading the second mission. Added a few more logs.

 

Tested in maps:

  • Caucasus
  • Persian Gulf
  • Nevada

 

with:

  • Instant action missions
  • User made missions

Ok.. Cleanup/repair seems to have solved it :doh:

 

I don't understand, I didn't do anything, like add mods or something.. How is it possible that I suddenly need to repair?

I had that mod installed, and had uninstalled it before I submitted this thread for review. Its not the mod itself; I still see this issue inside and out of VR with or without the mod. Thats also with the shaders folders deleted and rebuilt.

Ok got it cleared up. Seems like it might have been an issue with my oculus rift software being configured incorrectly or whatnot. I caught a whiff of the problem in the event viewer page and saw that oculus was crashing around the same time the game would hang. To make things a little more fixed, I did a repair and deleted the shader caches in the saved games folder, then rebuilt them. Now successfully ran DCS in a few online scenarios plus a few tutorials now and no problems.

I also run that mod and after updating to the latest version I no longer have the issue.

I can now confirm this works too without any issues.

sorry to hijack the thread, but are any of you all able to play online? The mod seems to have tainted my client. Last version of the mod did not do this.

 

In other new, I seemed to have gotten the crashing to go away
