Cant open Comm Menu in the air

As you can see in the pictures attached, I am only able to open the comm menu on the FARP but not above the FARP. Am I doing something wrong or it is a bug?

Donno if it's bug or feature but in the air, you have to use SPU-9 PTT key which is RAlt + \

Normal behavior. The '\' key is for communication not through technological devices. Once airborne this ability to "yell out the door" goes away. If you happen to have rotors turning fast, door closed, and SPU-9 electrical power off you will find that even yelling out the door no one hears you. Look for the binding in category "Cyclic Stick" named "SPU-9 PTT". This is the big button operated by the thumb on the cyclic labeled РАДИО.

Which intercom device is operated by "SPU-9 PTT" depends on the position of the selector switch on the left console panel also labeled РАДИО.

When on the ground a person plugs into the side of the helicopter with a telephone. They hear you all the time so any position of the selector works but if you choose VHF-1 or VHF-2 position then it will also be heard on that radio frequency.

I'm struggling with the same issues after update to 2.7.14.24228 open beta. Easy Comms is ticked as it has always been, all the bindings are the same as they were set, haven't introduced any new community mods/skins/whatsoever just updated DCS. 

Prior to this update I would just press the key/button to open coms menu regardless of engine/systems on/off, on the ground or in the air in a F-14, now it doesn't. I've tried remapping and it hasn't helped.

Tried with radio assist on/off, easy communications on/off, on the ground and in the air and no matter what key binding or button binding I tried NO COMM MENU appeared

This menu was present from the day 1 of playing DCS and NO this is not some functionality of the radio comms and please do not reply if you are going to write that this is the way it should be BECAUSE IT ISN'T

Try "RAlt + \" instead of only the backslash "\" key.
