Sprool Posted September 23, 2020 Share Posted September 23, 2020 (edited) Since the update today i cannot join any multiplayer server. It shows me the server list, it connects to a server, loads up then shows me the multiplayer 'select role' screen then it crashed out to my desktop. Single player seems to work fine. I tried backing up to previous version but it said access violation, some files could not be deleted. It tried to delete a load of AV8b files when i was installing the update but it said it could not access them, and i dont have the av8b. If you're referring to BetterSmoke, no, it doesn't touch those files. Those are files that have been updated by ED today. Did you edit those files? I doubt there are mods for those files already. It is possible the server you're joining did not update DCS and flagging those files on updated clients. Make sure both you and server are running same version. Just a heads up but the Rafale mod is causing problems since the new update. Particularly if taking off from carriers. With the mod in the game doesn't se the carriers despite seeing them in the mission editor. The Edge 540 also caused encyclopedia errors for me. Removed those mods and everything is fine now. You can try to figure out which mod. Process of elimination. If you had 10 mods, turn off 5 mods and try. If it works, then problem is with the 5 you turned off. If not, then one of the 5 you didn't turn off. Keep narrowing it down. And would help others if you actually let us know which mod it was.
