At VCAW-99, we pride ourselves on our dedication to realism, camaraderie, and continuous improvement. As a member of our virtual wing, you'll join a community of passionate flight enthusiasts who share a love for aviation and a commitment to excellence. Our operations are structured around two scheduled flights per week, held every Thursday and Sunday at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. Thursday's flight is a combat sortie, providing thrilling opportunities to engage in coordinated missions and hone your combat skills. On the other hand, Sunday's flight is a training flight, offering valuable practice and learning opportunities for pilots of all skill levels. In addition to our regular flights, we provide our members with access to an online flight log for logging flight hours; Aviation Combat Entry System (ACES), ensuring that your progress and accomplishments are tracked and recognized. We also maintain an Air Tasking Order (ATO) to organize and manage our missions effectively, providing clear objectives and taskings for each flight. To ensure that all members are well-prepared for the challenges of virtual flight, we offer a comprehensive training program that covers essential techniques, procedures, and tactics. Our Naval Aviator Progression System (NAPS) tracks your progress throughout the training cycle. New members are encouraged to complete this program within 60 days of joining, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in our virtual skies. As part of our commitment to active participation and teamwork, we expect all members to fly at least one of the scheduled flights per week. This ensures that our missions are well-supported and our wing remains vibrant and engaged. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to the world of virtual aviation, VCAW-99 welcomes you to embark on an exciting journey filled with thrilling missions, unforgettable experiences, and lasting friendships. Planning to start a group or "Task Force" which would have subgroups or squadrons within it that will be respective squadrons pertaining to certain types of airframes or roles. For example..... American Airframes with mainly air to air role will have a squadron Russian airframes mainly air to air will have another Utility Helicopters (Huey, Hip) will have another Attack Helicopters (Ka-50, Apache, Hind) will have another Ground attack airframes will have another This Task force and it's squadrons will be themed around a certain game I can't speak of due to forum rules. Each of these squadrons will have 4 main slots each for those who primarily fly those airframes/roles and an additional 4 or more reserve slots for those who don't regularly fly those roles or airframes.

Weirdness. I can trap wire offline without much difficulty. Just trapped 5 times in a row 1st attempt OFFLINE (a specific experiment performed just now). Generally I trap offline fine. Online I succeed on Stennis ONLINE with some regularity but Kuznetsov ... I just ran out of fuel twice going around and around Kuznetsov ... I can't remember ever trapping Kuznetsov ONLINE. No specific bug report forum Su-33 ... therefore no "bug report" tag ... yet. Just asking, what's happening? The obvious question, just me or can everybody else trap Kuznetsov in Multiplayer?

Hey all, I tried browsing the forums for a few minutes and could find similar issues but not identical to mine though I may have just missed it. I upgraded from the Odyssey+ to the Reverb G2 about 2 months ago. Game runs great in VR, both in the O+ and Reverb G2, only issues is when I go back to spectator online. The game will stutter near to the point that it's unplayable, but it seems to only happen when I return to spectators or respawn aircraft, otherwise it runs near flawlessly for me. If I look in one direction it runs fine but as soon as I adjust my head position to view instruments post respawn, or look around, the stuttering resumes. I never had that issue with the O+, so it seems to be G2 specific for me, I have tried adjusting and changing various graphical settings, VR settings, etc. with the same results. I am unable to pin down exactly what is causing this issue for me. If I return to the main menu the stuttering stops, as soon as I go back into multiplayer, it resumes. If I restart DCS it runs great until I respawn then it starts all over again. I'm kind of at a loss as to what is causing the stuttering to occur as it only occurs under those conditions, trying to find out if anyone else has had the same issue and if so, if they have found a work around.

This video pokes a little fun at the military online training curriculums, but it does have some good info for pilots wanting to tackle multiplayer in DCS. Enjoy. **updated sound levels and made spelling corrections** Everyone will need to watch the video and get their certificate to their section leaders.
