I have trim assigned to the trim POV hat on the hotas joystick, but in game the trim is not changing based on the commands. I can go into the commands menu for the F-15 and see when I move the POV hat the command list is jumping down to the correct trim assignments, but in flight the commands do nothing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Try deleting your "f-15c" folder in \\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Flaming Cliffs\Input\

Then run the updater, which will download the correct files.

You'll have to re-assign all of your controls, but it should start working. Also make sure that the key assignment doesn't have any conflictions.

I was under the impression that the F-15 utilizes auto-trim, ie no manual trim.

The real F-15C has three trim controls. Pitch trim can be affected using the trim switch located on the stick. The same for aileron trim. The only difference, is like you said, the pitch control is subject to auto trimming of the control surfaces by the aircraft's control augmentation system. This type of trim is not adjustable, and does not change stick position (i.e. If you were to deploy the flaps, the aircraft would automatically trim to adjust for this, but the actual stick position would not change, unlike with the manual trim.).

In the game, it is much the same minus the yaw trim.

Another main difference is that the real F-15C utilizes a rudder-aileron interconnect in order to coordinate turns. It does not have rudder "auto trim".

Try ensuring force feedback is disabled in the game/settings option menu if your not using a FFB joystick I believe it is set to on by default. It possibly could be the problem.

Then your virtual stick is not centered, or something else is going on.

Hmm, autotrim,,, its annoying because the joystick is centered but the f-15 wants to keep pushing downward. I cant get it to fly level at all.

Another thing most people don't do often enough is control calibration in their OS, or control checks before they fly. That's what will ensure hat everything is actually centered.

It was force feedback being enabled, now that its unchecked, trim and plane are all functioning as it should.

It was the same in FC2 but you used to have to disable FFB from a controls file using notepad you couldn't disable it in game. Glad you've fixed the issue...:pilotfly:
