Wow! Thank you Mr. Wizard! Is flapping your jaws constantly (when you admit you don't really know) a sign of intelligence? And who elected you sheriff?

This thread isn't a discussion and it rapidly devolved intro a whole parade of folks asking the same question and further devolving into an I want list. I would suggest that is acting impatiently (not acting impatient except, I guess, in New Jersey).

All I said was give them some time to work out a response. The whole flyables/rewards system was confusing even back when the Kickstarter was in full swing. It still needs to be clarified but they've said they've heard the message, so let them figure it out and respond.

:) aren't you a sweetheart.

Way to beat up on the guy trying to provide answers to people. I'm really sorry I hurt your feelings and made you feel insecure about your intelligence. I had figured if some people picked up the slack of figuring out answers for the simple and redundant questions then Luthier could be relieved of some of the overwhelming workload he is facing. However you, in all of your impressive wisdom, have convinced me otherwise.

By the way... "All you said" was insulting and I responded to let you know that your attitude was not helping anyone.

Oh my! Luthier's Little Helper. Self-appointed?

How my post was "insulting" is a mystery to me.

If you have a gripe, PM me. You don't need to do your Tarzan yodel on the forum.

Is spewing juvenile insults your only talent? I was REALLY hoping you had something more to offer. I wish I still lived in AZ. And although PMing you all day sounds like such a pleasure, why not log onto our Teamspeak channel this evening? Can you fly and talk at the same time?

By the way, I can imagine MOST things are a mystery to you.

I was just trying to keep it civil, M. Obviously you prefer to show off in public.

It's time to invoke my Fool Rule (borrowed shamelessly from Mark Twain): Never argue with a fool. He'll only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Lighten up, M!

Out here.

You gave up on civil long ago, tttony.

And now Mark Twain is rolling in his grave. The offer is still open to join TS anytime you wish to expound upon the errors of my ways, tough guy.

Seriously? Your opening comment in this thread was far from civil. Butting in like that without a single bit of constructive input about the topic at hand is a quick way to try and start something.

Whip, I didn't butt in. I offered my opinion (in an open forum) that all of this guessing about flyables and rewards was premature. We all want the answer and we want it from the organ grinder, not his monkey. I simply recommended that, now that Luthier's heard us, we give him time to respond.

If that is uncivil, you live in a different world than I do. When I'm being uncivil, you'll know it. I actually thought I was preaching patience, which usually is considered civil. You were the one dragging the conversation into what you want to see on line (Post #37), which is probably a year away and has nothing to do with the topic. I think that's called hijacking.

Seriously.

Hijacking? Come on man, it might not have been right on point but it had everything to do with how ED plans to license the flyable aircraft.

Redefining a thread that you didn't start however, could be made into an argument for hijacking...

Oh dear. Another "I want" thread. And there's noting to "want" yet.

Give them some time to sort it out.

Folks in Portland have a strange idea of "civil." Asking to give the devs some time seems civil to me.

I'll give you the last word...since it seems important to you.

I'm actually Tlingit, certified born and raised Alaskan, don't worry that also means I'm a US

citizen because I know you AZ guys like to know that kind of thing. If you truly were trying to tell people to be patient try exercising a little more class also consider that talking about these kinds of topics is how some of us choose to wait patiently.

P.S. Thanks for the last words that's really kind of you. I can only hope someone else can come up with something to possibly salvage this thread.

Whip, don't waste your time on this troll. He managed to waste far too much of my time today calling me names. That's apparently how they do it in Arizona when they get a little sand in their vag. Somehow, I never noticed it during my stay at D-M.

But be careful... he said we'd know if he's angry. I'm sure it's a terrifying sight.

Soooo what flyables are you getting? I want to know every glorious prediction you may have...

I don't want to be too specific in case my prediction is wrong because then I might appear to be too soft shoe when I have to back peddle off stage... But since you asked, I chose to double up on the 262 and the 109. Since I chose the 190, alpha access, and the strategy guide (because we both know I need to work on my game) I want to use my extra flyables for gifts. I think the licensing will be pretty similar to how the system works now. Each flyables you chose will have a key that will allow you to fly in DCS:W or DCS:WWII. What I am unsure of is if they will let us double up when it comes to choosing our six flyables. I can see pros and cons two both scenarios but ultimately I think it would be to everyone's benefit if we are allowed to double up. First we backed at a level to receive all the planes so they are essentially paid for and in the books. I don't think ED or RRG will care who is flying those planes. But on the con side they could be missing out on potential customers who might have otherwise purchased license for the planes that would have hypothetically been gifted to them by a backer. At the same time how smart would it be to give the committed backers a chance to bring in new people. Most of us would gift our extra keys to someone who we think is likely to get attached to the sim. It's direct word of mouth marketing at its best. I think that could be a lot more effective then buying some advertisement on Facebook or something with a shotgun approach.

For me its a little bit confusing. Sorry i am not a native speaker.

I didnt select anything, may be its wrong but i will see when the 190 is out even if i pledged more than 100 bucks.

I will wait and see. I dont care if i get the 190 one or two days later. Its my point of view.

The way I'm reading it from Kickstarter is ...

The flyable aircraft you select will be available to you when they're released for DCS WW2. You'll note that the P51 and FW190 are selectable too, but if look at the main Kickstarter page there is the below statement ...

What are my options for the Total Flyables column?

You can choose the appropriate number of flyable aircraft out of the following list:

Republic P-47D-28 Thunderbolt;

Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX;

Messerschmitt Bf-109K-4;

Messerschmitt Me.262A-1 (if kickstarter stretch goal is reached);

Focke-Wulf FW.190D-9;

North-American P-51D Mustang;

Please note that the FW.190 and P-51 aircraft here are the same planes as the available digital extras. The only difference is access date. The aircraft listed in Total Flyables will be available with the main release of DCS WWII, or with the alpha or beta versions if you opt in for the testing program.

Selecting these aircraft in the DCS World application simply allows you to fly their release versions before DCS WWII: Europe 1944 comes out.

You can also select multiples of each aircraft if you want to gift them as was stated by Ilya in update 21

Quote:

We’re working very hard to make sure it’ll be easy to use and to understand, while also being full-featured and problem free, allowing for example such a range of options and easily specifying user accounts for friends you wish to gift additional licenses to, or specify different shipping addresses for several copies of the same aircraft manual, etc.

The rewards section also has the P51 and FW190 listed as in the flyable but they're for DCS World.

Now is there going to be a difference between the P51 / FW190 in DCS World and WW2? No, as under the FW190 & P51 sections on the Kickstarter page there is the following notes ...

NOTE: The FW.190D-9 will be the same as the upcoming FW.190D-9 being developed for DCS:World.

NOTE: The P-51 in Europe’44 will be the same as the P-51D already released for Digital Combat Simulator. Please feel free to look into the project for more information about the quality of modeling and attention to detail that went into this aircraft.
