lazduc Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I have built a 4 axis motion platform for my sim. I am designing and proto-typing another configuration. Do any of you have any interest in this?? My projected cost for a 2 axis platform is subject to how much and type material you can provide. Adding one or two more axis to this design has already been incorporated. One design is a motion seat system. The other is a more complete cockpit. Interested? Let me know. Lazduc :D
Einherjer Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Here! Here! Interest! Have you written a program to Control the Motors/H-Bridge? :D
lazduc Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 Motion Simulator Hello Einherjer, If I were going to control motors I would use an Arduino. But I will not be using motors to move this platform. It is pneumatic. The only motor is on the air compressor. Electric/servo driven movements are too abrupt. With pneumatics the movements are fluid much more realistic. They are also more cost effective and much less expensive...by far. The control is far easier also. Lazduc

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted April 3, 2014 ED Team Posted April 3, 2014 I was considering motion platform, but was waiting until I had the oculus before taking the plunge. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? 59th_LeFty Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 I may find this interesting. I already operate a full motion car sim. Can I ask for your location please? Some pics would be nice, yes :) [sIGPIC]http://www.forum.lockon.ru/signaturepics/sigpic5279_1.gif[/sIGPIC] I could shot down a Kitchen :smartass:

Einherjer Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Any Interest in Motion Simulator Could you post your Solution with the arduino? The Export.lua and the scratch and/or maybe a program you written? Would try to Build a Little test platform or gauges with arduinos
